When the referee's voice sounded out, Li Luo calmly stepped forward amidst the countless curious gazes.

At the same time, his three resonant palaces came to life and vigorous amounts of resonant power poured out of him.

Five radiant Heavenly Pearls appeared behind him as well.

There were five of them!

This sight caused the crowd's eyes to shrink. Even Zong Sha and Jiang Wanyu revealed expressions of shock.

Li Luo's strength had once again taken a leap forward!

They had assumed he would be at the four-pearl tier at best. Clearly, they had underestimated his cultivation speed.

Lu Ming, Jing Taixu, and Sun Dasheng were silently ogling at the five radiant pearls.

The gap between them was stupendously large.

Amidst the surprised looks, Li Luo shot forward explosively like a bolt of lightning and sped across the square.

As he moved, the onlookers could see a large ancient bow appear in his hands.

The moment the bow appeared, the three violet eye marks on it began to devour copious amounts of worldly natural energy. Soon after, an ear-rending draconic roar sounded out.

The appearance of a triple violet-eye treasured artifact brought about numerous envious gazes. Such a treasured artifact was difficult to obtain even for an elite in an ancient college, much less those from sage colleges.

Li Luo quickly drew the bow, and the resonant power within his body fused into dual resonance power before pouring into it.

A single arrow made of light swiftly condensed, radiating berserk waves of energy that caused the void to tremble.

The sheer might contained within the arrow—which was supplemented by a triple violet-eye treasured artifact—was something even a seven-pearl would have to be cautious of.

The next moment, the arrow of light split the air as it pierced through the sky like a lightning bolt. It traveled thousands of feet in a single breath, wrapped in a hurricane of energy that directly blasted towards Wang Dao.

Wang Dao roared angrily as seven Heavenly Pearls condensed behind him, summoning up a tempest as worldly natural energy was riled up.

He had no intention of retreating!

A heavy sword appeared in his hand, imbued with mighty resonant power. Sword light pierced the air, carving a hole into the sky.

"Cleave!" Wang Dao's voice boomed like thunder.

Endless amounts of tyrannical sword energy descended from the sky and clashed directly with the arrow of light.

At the moment of collision, Wang Dao could sense that the arrow had separated three additional smaller arrows that shot past him.

His expression turned dark. Li Luo's initial strike was aimed at clearing out the field! The three mini arrows of light zipped past with frightening speed, each one targeted at one of his three teammates.

This sudden assault terrified them, and their faces turned pale. "Squad Leader, save us!"

Even the strongest Three Star Hall student was only at the Fiend Finisher Tier, so he could not block Li Luo's arrow at all!

However, Wang Dao remained impassive when faced with his teammates' cries for help. He had no intention of saving them. Instead, even more sword energy surged forth, shattering the main arrow of light. With the obstacle before him destroyed, he rushed forward like a charging bull, intent on facing off against Li Luo in a close-ranged fight.

Wang Dao was a logical person. He understood that there was no value in protecting his teammates, and he had to take this opportunity to close the distance between himself and his opponent.

Li Luo was wielding a triple violet-eye treasured artifact bow, and it posed a significant threat to him. Thus, the smartest choice was to bring the fight to a situation where Li Luo could not utilize it.

Seeing Wang Dao's actions, his teammates understood that they had been forsaken. They helplessly summoned up all of their resonant power and attempted to utilize any available means to block the incoming attacks.

Alas, it was of no use at all.

The three mini arrows exploded and the trio were sent flying, spewing copious amounts of blood. At this point, a certain force descended from the sky, protecting their bodies from the remaining effects. They might very well have lost their lives without it.

Three members of the Sacred Eventide College's squad had been eliminated in the blink of an eye.

Unfortunately, not many people were concerned with their elimination. In their eyes, the battle between Li Luo and Wang Dao was the only thing that mattered.

Wang Dao had already closed the gap, just a hundred feet away from Li Luo. The heavy sword in his hand began to blaze with wild resonant power and the earth beneath him began to crumble.

Everyone could see that it would be difficult for Li Luo to wield his bow at this range. With Wang Dao holding a two-pearl advantage over Li Luo, a frontal collision could lead to the latter's elimination.

The crowd continued to watch, not even daring to blink.

Li Luo's clear eyes reflected Wang Dao's powerful figure, which was barreling towards him. However, his expression remained unfazed. So what if a seven-pearl expert was approaching him? He was not feeling any hint of panic at all.

The Heavenly Dragon's Sunchaser Bow vanished from his hand.

His fingers curled up into a fist, and an exquisite sword appeared in his hand.

The Dragon Elephant Blade.

On the blade itself were three violet-eye marks that immediately began to devour worldly natural energy yet again.

The viewers' expressions instantly turned green. Yet another triple violet-eye treasured artifact??

What sort of family did he have?!

Even Wang Dao's eyelids began to twitch at this sight. The heavy sword in his hand was his most precious treasured artifact, and it was merely a single violet-eye.

The only bright side was that his resonant power was at a higher tier!

Wang Dao's gaze turned ferocious and he no longer hesitated. He summoned up all of the strength he could muster and executed his strongest trump card.

Sword energy flowed around, forming the shape of a savage tiger.

"Duke Art: Extreme True Tiger Strength!"

His strike carried every bit of spiritual energy he could unleash in a single attack. A one-hundred-foot-long sword energy manifestation swept across the field, akin to an ancient tiger trampling through the mountains and forests as it descended upon the beasts beneath and instilling fear in all. This strike contained all of his self-belief and strength as a seven-pearl expert. Any lesser foe could only avoid this strike and cower before him!

However, Li Luo did not avoid it.

His fingers were tightly wrapped around the hilt of the Dragon Elephant Blade and his gaze was serene. With the addition of his triple resonant palaces, his resonant power was no weaker than that of a six-pearl.

"Dual resonance power."

The halo of light representing the fused powers surfaced on his weapon as the dual resonance power flowed forth. Numerous mysterious little motes of light danced around the weapon, seemingly containing a hint of sentience.

Li Luo's eyes lowered slightly as the nine-scaled Dragon Sigil on his forehead began to radiate with light.

"Nine Scales Sanctified Dragon's Body: Nine Dragons' Might!"

His blood seemed to have been ignited; it flowed through his body like lava, channeling an astonishing amount of power through him that caused his veins to tremble.

A single step was taken as the Dragon Elephant Blade hacked towards his opponent.

The void was split apart, and the sound of rushing water could be heard in that crevice.

A moment later, a gigantic black dragon roared and emerged from the crack. It sucked in a deep breath, absorbing all of the churning, dark water. This resulted in its sharp claws gaining the glamor of corrosion.

The roar of the black dragon allowed everyone to sense the eruption of power within its body.

It then clashed directly with the tiger manifested from sword light.

A violent energy tempest kicked up from the impact.

At this point, a look of fear surged from the depths of Wang Dao's eyes. He realized that when the two arts clashed, his sword energy was being swiftly eroded.

"Impossible!" Wang Dao exclaimed as any further words were stuck in his throat.

He was a seven-pearl, so how could he have lost to Li Luo in a direct confrontation?

As hard as it was to believe, this was the truth.

The black dragon roared once again, releasing an aura of terrifying majesty as its sharp claws continued to descend unabated.

The tiger manifested from sword light was shattered along with the void.

The dragon, wreathed in cold air, then crashed towards Wang Dao without any hesitation.

Wang Dao quickly summoned up all of his remaining resonant power in an attempt to protect himself.

The storm of energy continued to rage.

Wang Dao's resonant power barrier was swiftly smashed, and when the black dragon slashed past him, it left a scar in the ground that was a thousand feet deep.

Meanwhile, Li Luo remained in place, still in his striking posture.

He could see the look of shock and disbelief on Wang Dao's face as he gradually collapsed on the field.

Thud!

The sound that his body made when it hit the ground seemed ever so poignant amongst the silent crowd.

The scene seemed to have petrified everyone.

The result of the first battle between a five-pearl and a seven-pearl...

A single strike had slain the opponent!
