Accidentally Yours, My Super Rich Second Husband-Chapter 156: Intrusion
Delphinia stood at the threshold of Evander’s childhood bedroom, her gaze slowly sweeping over the space. It was nothing like the one they shared in their home—a stark contrast, really. The bedroom was spacious, yet it carried a sense of nostalgia, a reminder of the life Evander had before he became the powerful man he was today. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
The walls were painted in a deep navy blue, a color that had slightly faded over time. Large wooden shelves lined one side of the room, filled with books, old trophies, and medals from his younger years. On the opposite side, a sleek black desk sat against the window, neatly arranged but clearly untouched for quite some time. A leather chair, once well-used, now seemed stiff from years of neglect.
What caught Delphinia’s attention the most, however, were the framed certificates and awards hanging on the wall—academic excellence, business competitions, even a few sports achievements. And there, tucked in a corner, was an old box filled with rolled-up posters. She stepped closer, nudging the box with the tip of her foot before crouching down. She unrolled one slightly and let out a soft chuckle.
"Evander," she mused, holding up a slightly crumpled poster of an old rock band. "You liked these guys?"
Evander, who had been placing some of his belongings on the nightstand, turned and let out a groan. "Geez. I told my mother to just put everything in storage. She left it here?" He walked over and plucked the poster from her hands, rolling it up and stuffing it back inside the box as if he was trying to erase any trace of his younger self.
Delphinia shook her head, a knowing smile on her lips. "Maybe she couldn’t bring herself to do it," she said softly, looking up at him. "It still reminds her of the old you."
Evander exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Well, still..." he trailed off, clearly not wanting to dwell too much on sentimentality.
A moment of silence passed before Evander’s gaze flickered to Delphinia, and something mischievous entered his eyes. His lips curled into a smirk as he took a step closer, his hands reaching for her waist.
Delphinia blinked, her body instinctively leaning back. "What?" she asked, already wary of that look on his face.
Evander didn’t answer. Instead, he pulled her flush against him, his grip firm but gentle. "I was just thinking," he murmured, his lips brushing against her ear. "This room has seen a lot, but never us."
Delphinia’s face heated instantly. "E-Evander!"
He let out a low chuckle, his hand slowly trailing down her back as he guided her towards the bed. "What? We’re a married couple," he said, feigning innocence.
Before she knew it, she found herself being pushed down onto the soft mattress, Evander’s body hovering over hers. Her heart pounded as his fingers brushed a stray lock of hair from her face.
"W-We can’t do this here," she stammered, her hands pressed against his chest as if to push him away—though she wasn’t exactly applying much force.
Evander cocked an eyebrow, his lips tugging into an even more devilish smirk. "Do what, exactly?"
Delphinia’s cheeks burned. "You know what I mean!"
Evander leaned in closer, his voice a mere whisper against her lips. "I really don’t."
Before she could form another protest, his lips captured hers in a deep, searing kiss. Delphinia stiffened at first, but as his fingers trailed down her side, a shiver ran through her. Her mind screamed at her to stop this madness, but her body... her body had other ideas.
Her fingers curled into his shirt as she melted into the kiss, letting herself drown in the sensation. Evander’s lips moved against hers with a slow, intoxicating rhythm, his hand slipping beneath the hem of her blouse, caressing the warm skin of her waist.
Then—
The door suddenly swung open with a loud bang.
"Where’s my sister-in-law? I miss—"
Julian’s voice died as he froze in the doorway.
Delphinia gasped, her entire body going rigid. Evander’s head snapped up, and they both turned to look at Julian, whose expression shifted from confusion to realization... and then to sheer horror.
A thick, tense silence filled the room.
"Oh," Julian mumbled, blinking rapidly. "Oh. OH."
Evander was still hovering over Delphinia, their bodies way too close, her flushed face doing nothing to help the situation.
Delphinia raised a hand, palm out, as if physically trying to stop whatever thoughts were forming in Julian’s head. Her eyes widened, and she quickly shook her head. "No. This isn’t what you’re thinking."
Julian, however, seemed entirely deaf to her words. His mouth opened and closed a few times before he let out a low, dazed mumble. "So... this is what Noah felt like when he caught me and Claire the other day."
Evander exhaled sharply, dragging a hand down his face. "Julian."
But Julian wasn’t listening. He kept staring, looking between the two of them like he was still trying to process the scene in front of him. "I mean, I always thought he was being dramatic, but no—this is exactly how it feels."
Julian took a slow step back. "Sorry," he said in a small voice before swiftly turning on his heel.
Just as he was about to shut the door, he groaned dramatically. "MY EYES!" he screamed before disappearing down the hall.
Delphinia covered her face with both hands, mortified beyond words. "Oh my god," she muttered.
Evander, on the other hand, looked absolutely livid. His jaw tightened, his eyes dark with unrestrained irritation.
Then, with a low, dangerous growl, he pushed himself off Delphinia and stormed toward the door.
"JULIAN!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the halls. "I WILL BREAK THOSE USELESS HANDS OF YOURS THAT DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO KNOCK!"
Julian’s laughter rang from somewhere down the corridor, clearly delighted by the chaos he had caused.
Delphinia groaned, throwing herself back against the pillows, knowing that the rest of the night was probably going to be filled with Julian’s teasing and Evander’s murderous threats.
So much for a peaceful weekend at the Walton estate...
