Adventures of the last Wild Dragon-Chapter 201: Rewards and Relaxation

Luna observed the golden box with some apprehension, the powerful woman sat behind the desk before her unnerved her, she couldn’t quite pin down why this was the case but it remained true nevertheless.

Still Luna did not hesitate for too long before she moved forward and grasped the lid of the chest, slowly lifting it up to reveal what lay within.

She first noted the glimmer of coins, not golden coins but the silvery hue of platinum coins. Luna quickly counted and saw 10 platinum coins laying at the bottom of the chest, her eyes widened slightly as she understood that what lay before her was a small fortune.

Still she looked at the only other item that lay within the box with interest. It was a bottle which contained a handful of pills. Luna curiously reached her hand into the chest to pick up the bottle, curiously turning it in her hand as she observed the multicoloured pills inside.

As if sensing her curiosity the woman spoke up. "These here are quite the thing. They have two noticeable effect. First they will provide a substantial and permanent boost to all of your stats. The second effect is only viable for people in the early stages of tier 4, it will make it easier for one to control their presence."

Luna’s eyes snapped up as she gazed wide eyed at the woman, surprise and amazement clear on her face. "They can do all that? How many do I need to take? Can I take multiple of them?"

"Fufufu I’m afraid not dear. These only work a single time, so one pill per person. If you take a second one your body risks rejecting the magics contained within, you don’t want that to happen."

"This seems like a lot to give out just for a single victory. Did my win really warrant such a reward?" Luna could not help but be skeptical about this, she had already experienced the schemes of powerful people before and had no intention to drag both herself and potentially Violet into such a situation.

"Well for a single ordinary individual, you are right this is indeed too much. But when talking about the top two contestants?" As she finished speaking the door opened up again letting in a very familiar woman.

"Oh hello Luna! Didn’t think I’d see you in here!" Violet said happily as she instantly walked over to the confused Luna and pulled her into a hug. "Congratulations! But I’ll be sure to win next time!"

Luna felt herself relax slightly now that her companion was besides her.

Their reunion was soon interrupted however, when the sovereign made herself known once more. "Now now dears, as touching as this reunion may be we do not have all day. Well I suppose you do, but I have things to do so chop chop, take your reward already."

Luna hurriedly stored the coins and pill bottle into her storage item. Once it was safety stored away the dwarven boss spoke again. "Before you go dears, I just want to let you know something. If you get into any trouble you cannt handle yourself feel free to use my name as a deterrent, that’s Lalita by the way, owner of the Colosseum. After all it’s not every day two beasts walk in and win one of my tournaments, especially when one of them is a particularly wild young dragon."

Both girls froze at her words, not quite sure how they had been found out as beasts yet again, or how she had discovered that Violet was a dragon!

"Oh don’t look so surprised! You think that any sovereign would not be able to tell what you are by presence alone? Besides their are a dozen items that can tell someone’s race easily enough. If you wanted to keep that a secret you should stop by Masels Magic shop, tell the old man I sent you, should be able to get yourself something to better protect your identity there. But now be off with you I have work to do."

And just like that they suddenly found themselves outside of the office, the guards outside not even looking surprised that we had been teleported outside suggesting that Lalita does this quite often.

"So.. that was a thing." Luna murmured, still trying to process the encounter they just had.

"She seemed... nice?"

"Yeah... well she said we can rely on her if someone tries to cause trouble I suppose, plus she knew what we really are and still wanted to help us. At least she seems trustworthy, I think."

"Hmm well, either way, let’s meet back up with Susan and Rhyana. I don’t know about you but I would enjoy some good food right about now!" Violet said, already thinking about some of the delicious food she previously smelled that she wanted to try.

"Let’s do that then!" Luna paused then before speaking uncertainly. "Umm how are we supposed to find them though? I don’t know about you but I have no idea where we actually are."

As the two girls realised that fact they were saved by a certain elf walking down the corridor towards them. "There the two of you are! Congratulations on your victory Luna! I knew that you had it in you!" Isabella said with a wide smile.

"And you too Violet! The both of you did incredible today! Now come with me your two friends are eager to see the two of you again!"

So the two companions happily followed along behind Isabella as she led them through the maze of tunnels that made up the interiors of the colosseum.

Soon enough they arrived back at the now familiar waiting room they first gathered in. Upon entering they were greeted by their two friends. Susan upon seeing them walk in jumped up and rushed forward to wrap the two of them up in a hug.

"Aww you both did amazing! Are you both alright? Do you need any healing?"

Chuckling at their friends enthusiasm Luna replied. "Thank you, and yes we are both alright, the heals already sorted us out so no need to worry."

"Good good!" Susan finally separated from them and gave the two girls a warm smile. "Now knowing you two, I’d imagine that you are both eager to find somewhere to get some good food and a place to relax after all that fighting yes?"

Hearing this both girls nodded vigorously. Susan turned to Isabella and asked her. "Don’t suppose you know of a good place for food do you? And probabally a place to stay the night."

"Hmm yes I think I know just the place! Let me lead you there!"

So it was that the 4 girls followed behind Isabella as she led them out of the arena and back into the bustling city streets in search for good food and a place to relax.
