After Divorcing the Tycoon, I Married into a Wealthy Family Again-Chapter 45: I Bought Too Much and Don’t Like It
Chapter 45: Chapter 45: I Bought Too Much and Don’t Like It
The driver was startled, "Gu... Young Master Gardiner..."
Luke Gardiner glanced at him and got into the car.
As the New Year approached, the company became increasingly busy.
NQ is currently thriving, and Florence Fuller is capitalizing on the momentum to accomplish something.
In the most prosperous area of SJ City, there is a commercial district with a mall housing various luxury and top-tier brand stores. In the past half-year, Florence Fuller had her eyes on it. At that time, some brands’ store leases were expiring; some were moved out, and some renewed. Florence wanted to get NQ in, but someone beat her to it.
Now, hearing some inside information, she quickly contacted the mall’s operations president, who informed her that she needed to go through the Gardiner Clan.
The president is currently restructuring the mall.
That mall is under the Gardiner Clan Group.
She’ll have to go to the Gardiner Clan to find Luke Gardiner.
She was quite curious about how a company with such a vast business scope had time to manage a mall like it was leisure.
Of course, when it comes to work, she doesn’t cut corners. She might tease him in passing, but when it comes to securing a spot, she’s all business.
"Madam." Edward Johnson greeted her downstairs and accompanied her in the elevator to go up.
Florence Fuller had never been to the Gardiner Clan before. Guided, she arrived at the destination, and Edward Johnson led her to an office.
"President Gardiner will be here in a little while. Would you like something to drink?"
"Water’s fine."
Edward Johnson nodded.
The office was spacious. Florence Fuller surveyed the room, and Edward Johnson soon brought her water.
Florence Fuller took it: "Why is he managing the mall? Doesn’t he usually have other things to keep him busy?"
Edward Johnson shook his head, "President Gardiner intends to re-plan the mall. Some known brands may not renew their leases. He plans only to cooperate with ultra-luxury brands."
Florence Fuller’s heart sank, feeling NQ’s chances were slim.
Edward Johnson left, and Florence Fuller sat for a while longer, hearing the sound of the door opening, she looked up.
Luke Gardiner’s gaze swept over her as he walked directly to his desk and sat down.
With just that glance, Florence Fuller sensed this man seemed a bit unhappy.
Who ticked him off?
Dealing with that mood, she sighed inwardly, steeling herself.
"Finish your work first."
Luke Gardiner didn’t speak, picking up a file to read.
Although she didn’t know who upset him, Florence Fuller put on a gentle and friendly demeanor: "We arranged for this time, could you pause to hear me out?"
Without lifting his head, Luke Gardiner coolly said, "Go ahead."
Florence Fuller eyed his signing motions, gently spoke, and observed Luke Gardiner, realizing he seemed focused on the documents. As she finished speaking, he had signed two of them.
"So," Florence Fuller smiled, "what do you think?"
Luke Gardiner: "Hmm."
What does "hmm" mean!
"Cooperate happily?" Florence Fuller guessed.
"Ha." Luke Gardiner chuckled, giving her a sideways glance, "You’re quite confident about your brand."
Florence Fuller responded without hesitation, "Of course!"
"But it doesn’t meet the criteria to enter the Starloop SSG mall, don’t you know? Some luxury brands inside won’t be renewed." Luke Gardiner raised an eyebrow, his handsome face now devoid of casual recklessness, replaced by a stern and cold demeanor.
With the entry threshold raised, her chances to get in became even slimmer.
Florence Fuller handed over the documents she had: "NQ’s sales performance increases stepped annually. Our company is positioned at both affordable luxury and ultra-luxury, and expanding into custom private branding. Our quarterly new products always turn into blockbusters, winning awards overseas. We have numerous renowned designers, and our official listing is planned for the next year’s second half. NQ’s presence might elevate Starloop SSG’s heat."
Luke Gardiner certainly knew that this woman had skill. Since she started investing and founding businesses, he often wondered where she got so much money. Christopher Somerset initially provided her with connections, resources, and identity, fostering her rapid development.
Pouring money into brand impact, acquiring, merging, expanding, headhunting, and then branching brand positioning into diverse fields.
Perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry, and collaborations with brands.
Endless levels, others tremble through each step of entrepreneurship, she strides with extravagance and boldness.
"You did say ’maybe’, you can’t guarantee it, right?" Luke Gardiner looked at her.
Florence Fuller raised an eyebrow, "Maybe doesn’t mean impossible. What if it breaks the innovation rate?"
"So confident?"
"At least," Florence Fuller’s gaze fell on him, "you quite like our brand’s haute couture, don’t you?"
Luke Gardiner wore an ash-gray suit paired with a dark red shirt, untied tie, pocket adorned with a simple yet elegant pin, appearing casual yet grand and ostentatious.
A perfect fit for Luke Gardiner.
Luke Gardiner squinted, "I just bought too much that time. I don’t particularly like it."
Florence Fuller observed him, sensing he seemed less icy than earlier.
She let out an "oh," "Really, some new customized options might suit you, but if you don’t like them, I won’t send them your way."
Luke Gardiner noticed he was being teased, frowned, "You did that on purpose, didn’t you?"
"You said you didn’t like it." Florence Fuller shrugged helplessly, mimicking his earlier tone: "I just bought too much that time. I don’t particularly like it." She said, a sly glint flickered across her eyes.
Seeing her attitude, Luke Gardiner inexplicably felt the stuffiness dissipate, chuckled somewhat mischievously, "Fine, seeing your attitude, I almost don’t want to give you the slot."
"Hey! No, no, no," Florence Fuller’s eyes lit up, "It’s my fault, my mistake, sorry."
Someone who usually defied him, now presenting such humility and adaptability, Luke Gardiner truly found it remarkable, "You’ve got guts."
"You’re right."
She really couldn’t argue with her partner.
"I can give you one slot."
Florence Fuller’s face lit up, just about to express gratitude, when Luke Gardiner continued, "For a period of three months."
Her smile instantly vanished, "Are you kidding me, three months!"
Luke Gardiner leaned back in his chair, "The brands I’m not planning to cooperate with don’t meet my set standards for three months’ sales quota. If you want in, it’s a trial run for three months as well."
Florence Fuller pressed her lips, "But as far as I know, the Dreamrest brand hasn’t met your standards either, but it doesn’t seem to be on your termination list."
Occupying the most advantageous location in Starloop SSG, but Florence Fuller had checked, after its initial popularity, the trend had declined steadily. Its entry and status at Starloop SSG was nothing short of a miracle.
