After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back-Chapter 106: Don’t wave your junk in front of Nina
Nina looked at Aviel, her thoughts reeling.
Would it be better for Linny to have a father, albeit like him?
Although Aviel had previously lured Linny into meeting him without permission, his intention had only been to acknowledge his son. And truthfully, he had secretly helped them more than once.
She gently stroked Linny’s little head and considered carefully before saying, "Alright. I agree to let you stay."
For a moment, Aviel simply stared at her in disbelief.
She agreed.
She actually agreed.
Joy flooded his face. "Thank you... thank you, Nina. I swear I’ll take good care of you both."
"Well... just take good care of Linny," Nina replied calmly. "You don’t need to worry about me."
Aviel automatically ignored the second half of her sentence, eyes shining. "Mm. I will. I’ll take care of everything."
In his mind, the little rascal could be raised casually—but Nina absolutely needed proper care.
She was far too thin.
He would have to find a way to fatten her up a little.
Later, he would consult Pado about how best to care for a female.
After hesitating for a moment, Aviel asked shyly, "Then... can I call you Nina from now on? Without formalities?"
"You can," she said.
His heart soared. He could call her by her name.
Viann hurried forward to congratulate him. "Congratulations, Your—"
Before he could finish the word "Majesty," Aviel clamped a hand over his mouth and dragged him away.
For some reason, Aviel had a strange premonition.
It was better that Nina not learn his true identity yet.
He had no logical explanation—only a feeling that revealing it now might lead to... unfortunate consequences.
He gathered the dragon warriors aside.
"For now, do not reveal my identity," he ordered. "Call me ’my lord’ instead."
The dragons rarely spoke in front of Nina anyway and had never addressed him formally before her.
"Why, Your—my lord?" some of them asked in confusion.
Wasn’t his royal status an advantage? Wouldn’t it be impressive to reveal it?
"Just do as I say," Aviel replied impatiently.
Even he didn’t fully understand why—he simply felt that silence was safer.
"Yes." Though puzzled, they obeyed.
As long as their future queen acknowledged their king, nothing else mattered.
Aviel returned to the cave in high spirits, the dragons trailing after him, equally pleased.
From now on, they could sleep inside the cave too.
They could sit at the table.
They were finally included.
The moment he entered, Aviel eagerly went to Nina to learn how to prepare powdered milk.
"Nina, do I shake it like this?" he asked, carefully holding the bottle and mimicking her movements.
"Yes," she nodded. "Just make sure it’s evenly mixed before giving it to Linny."
Once finished, Aviel casually handed the bottle over. "Drink."
Linny took a sip and frowned.
It wasn’t as good as Mother’s. Or Big Phoenix’s.
Aviel clenched his fist.
You should be grateful you have milk at all.
That evening, Aviel nervously presented his first attempt at cooking.
"Nina, try it. If it’s not good, I’ll make it again."
She took a bite. "It’s alright... just a little salty."
Without hesitation, Aviel snatched the dish away. "Wait. I’ll redo it."
She barely had time to say it wasn’t necessary before he had already rushed outside.
Soon, he returned with a fresh plate.
"Try this one."
She sampled it again. "Mm. This one’s good."
The simple approval filled him with delight. He ate dinner with an unusual appetite.
Odian frowned.
The tiger and fox hadn’t been dealt with yet—and now there was a dragon too.
Kith quietly ate, not daring to feel jealous. He had no right.
Finch looked troubled. His cooking skills were poor; he hardly dared cook for Nina. Seeing Aviel earn praise on his first try made him deeply envious.
He would have to work harder.
Later that night, Shui slipped out briefly and returned dressed extravagantly.
She wore a lavish beast-hide outfit, necklaces layered at her throat and bracelets jingling on her arms.
Approaching Nina, she held out a bracelet strung with low-quality stones and animal teeth.
"Nina, thank you for sharing the cave with us. I don’t have much to give, but I have plenty of jewelry. Your bracelet looks rather plain... so consider this a small gift."
Her tone carried a faint note of superiority.
She glanced disdainfully at Nina’s simple bracelet and then at her clothing.
"And your beast-hide outfit... the quality seems rather poor. I could give you a better one."
Compared to her, Nina looked shabby.
Which was perfect—it made her seem all the more refined.
In truth, Nina’s clothes had been purchased through the system. They weren’t flashy by beast-world standards, but they were incredibly comfortable, breathable, and high quality—something Shui couldn’t recognize.
"No need," Nina replied lightly. "I’m not interested in your things. And I don’t need your thanks."
"You really don’t want it? This bracelet has a flower-stone. Many females can’t even get one!"
She stroked the bracelet on her own wrist—a full strand of flower-stones, though of inferior quality.
"Mine has many, of course. But even one is precious!"
Flower-stones, similar to agate, were popular among females—though not especially rare.
Nina felt speechless.
It was ugly, and she was boasting about it.
Why did this woman always stir up trouble?
Odian’s eyes flashed with anger. "Don’t wave your junk in front of Nina."
He produced a collection of rare gemstones and top-grade beast pelts. "These barely qualify."
Aviel immediately followed suit, laying down piles of brilliant jewels and fine pelts.
"Take these, Nina."
Dragons possessed countless beautiful stones, and pelts could easily be acquired.
Kith and Finch also hurriedly offered what they had, though theirs were more functional than decorative. Still, they would not allow Nina to be outshone.
Soon, an impressive heap of treasures lay before her.
Compared to that dazzling display, Shui’s adornments looked laughable.
She hastily covered her bracelet, fury and jealousy burning in her eyes.
"Fine. Keep them."
She stormed back to her sleeping area and angrily tore off her jewelry.
Those should have been hers.
Outside, Aviel coldly summoned two dragons.
"Return to Flying Dragon City. Bring my finest crystals and pelts. Collect the best female ornaments you can find—everything must be the finest."
"Your Majesty, shall we bring the crown from the secret chamber for the queen?" Sian asked.
"Of course!" Aviel answered without thinking.
Then he froze.
The crown was meant for his future queen.
And he had instinctively decided it belonged to Nina.
Did that mean...
Understanding dawned.
He imagined Nina wearing the crown he had prepared, and warmth spread through his chest.
"Yes. Travel at once. And bring more dragon crystals and dragon-spirit fruits."
He was impatient now.
The two dragons vanished.
Elsewhere, Kith and Finch quietly sent out signals of their own.
That night, Odian and Finch secured spots beside Nina.
Determined to avoid another awkward morning, Nina deliberately settled into Odian’s arms.
He was thoroughly satisfied.
Finch closed his eyes gloomily.
Perhaps in dreams, things might be different.
The next day, as they continued their journey, a familiar figure suddenly appeared in front of Nina.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
Delight blossomed across her face right away.
