After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back-Chapter 28: Just you wait, stinking male
Mino had been prepared. He dodged immediately. Sal chased after him, and the two of them began darting around, chasing and swatting at each other.
Watching the "little kitty" run, Nina said worriedly, "Little Flower, stop running—be careful or your wounds will split open!"
Sal wasn’t listening at all. He kept chasing Mino relentlessly, looking ready to fight to the death.
I swear I’ll kill this stinking male today.
Nina rubbed her temples and couldn’t be bothered to interfere. She calmly continued eating her meat.
Only when Sal was completely exhausted did he finally stop. His whole body ached as he curled up on the table beside Nina, panting heavily.
He glared resentfully at Mino. Just you wait. Once I recover, I’ll kill you immediately.
Mino leaned against the stone wall, wearing a mocking expression, as if saying, Come on, brat—hit me if you can.
Suppressing the murderous intent surging inside him, Sal turned his head away and stopped looking at Mino.
Seeing that the "little kitty" had finally settled down, Nina hurried over to check on him. When she noticed blood seeping out, she lightly patted his little bottom, her voice tinged with concern.
"See? Why did you run around? Your wound split open again, didn’t it? Does it hurt a lot?"
Sal looked at her with big, pitiful eyes and let out soft, aggrieved whimpers—Little female, why are you hitting my butt again? It was that stinking male who bullied me.
Nina couldn’t help but say to Mino, "Mino, he’s just a cub. Can’t you give him a bit of leeway?"
Mino replied gloomily, "Got it."
Stupid brat, always pretending to be pitiful.
Nina looked down, amused by Sal’s pitiful little expression.
"Alright, don’t feel wronged. Mommy will take you back and re-bandage your wounds. But you’re not allowed to do this again—if you do, Mommy won’t take care of you anymore."
That word seemed to hit a nerve. Sal immediately let out loud "aow aow" protests and struggled to get out of Nina’s hands.
"What’s wrong now?" Nina asked, baffled by the suddenly fluffed-up "little kitty."
Sal let out two more aggrieved cries: Don’t call me that. I’m your male.
Nina frowned, thinking hard about why the "little kitty" was angry. Suddenly, a lightbulb went on.
"You don’t like me saying ’Mommy’?"
Sal nodded emphatically.
Nina was surprised she’d guessed right. She thought perhaps the "little kitty’s" mother was still alive, and that’s why he didn’t like it.
Still, wasn’t this "little kitty" way too smart? Were animals in this world all this intelligent?
She didn’t dwell on it and continued, "Then... how about calling me ’big sister’?"
Sal shook his head again. The little female clearly looked younger than him. Even if she were older, she couldn’t be his sister.
"Then... ’master’?"
Sal hesitated, then shook his head again.
Nina was annoyed now. Nothing worked—this "cat" was really picky.
"What do you want to call me then? Don’t tell me you want to be the master instead?"
Sal felt tempted and was just about to nod when Nina flicked his forehead.
"Dream on. Either ’big sister’ or ’master’—pick one. If you don’t pick, it’s back to ’Mommy.’ And if you refuse all of them, you’ll sleep outside and eat our leftovers from now on."
Nina started asking, "Big sister?"
Sal hesitated, then shook his head.
"Master?"
Sal hesitated even more. He didn’t want to call her that either.
"Then it’s still Mom—"
Before Nina could finish, Sal cut her off with furious "aow aow" cries—No way. Absolutely not.
"Then it’s ’master.’ No more objections. If you object again, I won’t raise you anymore."
In the end, Sal yielded to Nina’s tyranny and nodded reluctantly, his little face scrunched up.
I, the mighty Lord of Demon Abyss City, am being forced to acknowledge a little female as my master. If word gets out, how will I ever face anyone? I might as well die.
Nina picked him up and kissed his forehead.
"Alright, don’t feel wronged. As long as you behave and listen, your master will treat you very well. I promise I won’t let you suffer."
Sal instantly forgot all his grievances, his mind filled only with the sensation of those soft lips brushing his forehead.
She... kissed me?
Even though they’d done far more intimate things before, he was fully conscious now!
Sal’s face instantly heated up, his cheeks burning.
Mino, who witnessed the scene, completely lost it. In anger, he scratched the wall behind him, leaving marks.
Nina not only comforts that stinking ’cat brat,’ she even kissed him! It’s just acknowledging a master—I can do that too! And my beast form is way better-looking than that brat’s. Females love it.
Nina said to Mino, "Mino, could you clean up here? I’ll take Little Flower inside and re-bandage him."
"Mm, I’ll clean up. You go ahead," Mino replied gloomily.
Nina carried the "little kitty" inside, removed his hide bandages, and saw that his wounds had healed a lot overnight—only the large one had split slightly.
She figured it was thanks to the soul-restoring pill. Her own ability was still weak; it couldn’t have worked this well.
She healed him again with her power, re-bandaged him, and reminded him, "Until you’re fully healed, no more running around."
Sal nodded. With his recovery speed, he’d be fine soon.
That evening, Nina and Mino finished making the cat bed.
Mino suggested, "Nina, the room on the right is empty. Let’s put the cat bed there and have the kitten sleep in that room."
As soon as he said that, Sal assumed an attacking stance toward Mino again, ears flattened like airplane wings.
Mino lifted his chin provocatively. Come on, then.
The two were about to fight again.
Seeing this, Nina felt they really needed to work on their relationship. Otherwise, how could she live with this chaos every day?
She said, "His injuries aren’t healed yet. I won’t feel at ease letting him stay alone. Let him stay in your room for now."
Sal was about to protest when Nina cut him off immediately.
"No objections. You’ll stay with Mino tonight. He saved you too—you need to get along. No more fighting."
Sal sprawled on the table, burying his head and sulking.
Mino didn’t really want to share a room with the stinking "cat brat" either, but he didn’t object. As long as the thing didn’t sleep in Nina’s room, it was fine.
After everything was arranged, Nina went to wash up.
Mino picked up the cat bed with one hand and grabbed Sal by the scruff with the other.
Caught off guard, Sal was actually lifted just like that.
Mino carried him into the room, chose the worst corner, tossed the cat bed there, then threw Sal onto it as well.
"This is where you sleep tonight."
Sal steadied himself the moment he landed and growled at Mino—Just you wait, stinking male.
He glanced toward Nina’s room, planning to go over once she fell asleep.
Mino saw through his little scheme at a glance. You want to go to Nina’s room? Not a chance.
As night gradually deepened and Nina fell asleep, Sal prepared to sneak over to find her.
