Chapter 345: 0178 Bernabeu Debut (Please Subscribe)
July 24th.
It was Real Madrid’s second day in Austria.
Back in 2002, Real Madrid had come to their training camp in Irdning, Austria. Back then, it was Zidane and Pavon, now it was Raul and Kevin.
"Got some bad news for you guys, you need to play a friendly match against Portsmouth," Calderon announced to the players during breakfast.
"Damn, will playing against them let me score like crazy?"
Cassano complained, pursing his lips.
"Maybe you can choose to have a surgery like Ronaldo," Capello glared at Cassano.
"Who knows if that guy is just dodging training."
Cassano muttered.
Seeing Capello’s look, Cassano quickly shut up.
"I already regret coming back to the team early,"
Raul whispered to Huang Kaiwen.
Huang Kaiwen nodded, he was also preparing to be "injured."
He highly doubted the truth in Cassano’s words.
Ronaldo had been persistent just a few days ago, but suddenly he started asking Huang Kaiwen about the situation at the Milan lab, naturally, Huang Kaiwen suggested Ronaldo should go to Milan for surgery.
Ronaldo’s sudden decision to undergo surgery was definitely due to Capello’s intense training.
"We discussed coming back early to welcome you and get ready for the new season, but it seems I might not survive a season," Salgado whispered similarly.
By now, everyone on Real Madrid was a bit afraid of Capello.
Probably wouldn’t be long before there was a rebellion.
"Coach, I’m feeling a bit under the weather."
After eating, Huang Kaiwen stood up with his tray and said.
Capello anxiously asked, "Where does it hurt, do you want the team doctor to check you out?"
"Stomach problems, old issue, I might just need some rest,"
Huang Kai with a "pale face," said. freёwebnoѵel.com
Tom Hanks couldn’t have nailed the acting better.
"Then go back to your room and rest for a while, no need to follow the team in training today," Capello said.
"Alright, coach."
Huang Kaiwen nodded, put down his tray, and quickly left.
"Fabio, I’m not feeling well either!" Cassano, holding his stomach, shouted with his hand raised.
His expression was as exaggerated as Jim Carrey’s, looking like he might morph into The Mask any second.
"I’ll have the team doctor check you out, those who fake illness will get extra training as a reward,"
Capello pushed up his glasses, his eyes gleaming as he spoke.
Cassano tensed up, straightened his back, and managed a smile, "Ah, my stomach doesn’t hurt anymore."
"Anyone else feeling unwell?"
Capello scanned the cafeteria and asked.
Seeing no other response, he continued, "Alright, rest for a bit then prepare for training."
"Coach, I have something,"
Raul stood up and walked over to Capello, "Kevin has a stomach problem, he’s not feeling well, he might need someone to prepare lunch for him or maybe get him some water to drink, as staff are not familiar with Kevin it could be awkward for him, as the team captain, I think I should stay and take care of Kevin."
Capello stared at Raul for a moment, then nodded, "You stay and take care of Kevin. Everyone should learn from the captain, each person must bear their own responsibilities."
The rest of the players were stunned; this could actually work?
Fast thinking like this is truly befitting of a captain.
The weather in Irdning wasn’t great this summer.
Apart from occasional rains, the temperature was around 14 degrees too, not ideal conditions.
With the increased attention from fans and media at Real Madrid’s training, Capello’s sessions were intense.
Naturally, the players of Real Madrid wanted to avoid training.
When Raul returned to the room, he found Huang Kaiwen playing video games.
"You alright, Kevin?"
Raul asked, sitting on his bed.
He used to share a room with Redondo, then switched several roommates, and was now temporarily sharing with Huang Kaiwen.
"Not yet, but I need to find something to do to distract myself."
Huang Kaiwen set aside the gaming console and asked, "Why did you come back?"
"I said you needed taking care of, mainly because I didn’t want to participate in training, I’ve already been through this when he first coached Real Madrid, training under him isn’t a pleasant affair,"
Raul candidly said.
"That’s good, hopefully, we can go back to Madrid soon; at least the weather there will be better."
Huang Kaiwen said.
"Yeah, at least the weather will be nicer,"
Later on.
There was more trouble on the Austrian trip: Carlos Diogo and Robinho were among those who got gastroenteritis and ended up in the hospital.
Capello and Calderon both had headaches.
Baldano and Mijatovic shifted the blame onto each other.
It was just as well that Huang Kaiwen was sick of Austria, so he directly sought Capello to temporarily leave the team to "recover."
Shit.
Portsmouth was still expecting him to appear in the friendly match.
Wishful thinking.
Every appearance of the Yellow Ball King cost more than one million Euros.
Makeup was the only skill Huang Kaiwen had to learn on his own without the system, and he was pretty good at it.
This was due to being forced to get stronger.
After all, it was hard to shake off the reporters without makeup.
When he walked out of the hotel with a backpack and a camera around his neck,
he was immediately stopped by several reporters.
A reporter asked, "How did you get in there? Aren’t reporters banned from entering?"
"Oh, I have a good relationship with Raul, we had already made an appointment,"
Huang Kaiwen said smiling, and without turning back, left the hotel.
Those reporters always wanted to interview him.
Staying with the team required frequent public appearances, better to go home and recover.
After taking the train to Vienna, Huang Kaiwen changed his mind.
Being in Vienna, how could he not visit the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts?
