After Surviving the Apocalypse, I Built a City in Another World-Chapter 1326: Prison Entrance! (Part 2)
This naturally could not last forever. Eagle had limited mana, after all, so the wind vortex had to die out in a short while.
Some might say that expending so much mana at the beginning was impractical. However, the plan was for him to enter the dungeons while the guards were distracted.
Sadly, he quickly found out that the entrance was locked and had a very specific locking system that required a few keys. It was safe to assume that each guard would have keys on them, too, so he obviously had to defeat them both if he wanted to enter.
He sighed, feeling his mana draining fast and he knew the vortex had to go soon. To maximize the final rotation, he lifted his sword and slashed away at the enemies, targeting the head level for maximum effect.
If the enemies accidentally slashed at their teammate, that would be a bonus, but they were already past level 25 and were assigned guards here for a reason—they weren't stupid. The luck he had at the start didn't really happen again, which was a bummer.

Anyway, he noticed that someone was about to step out the Voice Blocker's scope, Eagle summoned winds to change his direction, pushing the man towards him whose sword was very much ready to stab.
Slash!
"AH!"
Eagle felt a deep cut this time, which was satisfying.
The vortex soon faded, but Eagle did not pause his attacks. The enemies had several wounds on their bodies by this time and their defense equipment was gaining a bit of damage, and he wasn't about to lose his advantage by being careless.
The guards were naturally livid when they saw him, quickly lunging towards him for the kill. They did not hold back and sent skill after skill, not just because they were angry but also because they were going against a capable elementalist.
At the back of their mind, they did wonder how no one seemed aware that an attack here was ongoing, but Eagle wasn't letting them think too much.
While chewing on his mountain of mana cookies, he made sure to push the guards enough that they could not think of anything else but avoiding his hits or landing some on him.
Eagle's Protection charm was still working so fortunately he had yet to gain injuries, though he could tell it would crack soon. He also worried for his friend, so he tried his best to finish this battle as soon as possible.
Stab!
Eagle was one of the most talented wind users in Alterra, and his use of wind impressed even aborigines.
He could instinctively use the wind around him to help with his attacks, whether it was to push his attack, adding a little more force and speed, and he might also use it to remove air resistance.
The fight continued for several minutes and Eagle also gained more and more injuries.
At this point, the enemies finally understood there was something wrong for no one to come help them with all the noise they were making.
However, their assumption was that Eagle had a lot of companions who took care of their guards!
Voice Blockers were magic tools and were not too common for normal guards to hold, so it didn't occur to them at all.
"Who do you work for?!" One yelled, swiping his weapon and using a skill. Eagle managed to avoid this by feeling the wind, and he even managed to stab back, stabbing his sword at someone's chest, finally destroying his defense equipment.
"Hurry up! We have to kill him before his allies get here!" the other yelled as he continued his barrage, though it was notable that it was starting to feel rushed and careless.
Eagle smirked, realizing what they assumed. "Well, the Lord has been so useless all this time—the families had had enough!" he said with a vindictive smile. It so happened that Eagle's sharp features were perfect to make him look like a villain.
"So now we're ending you! Bahahaha!"
"You bastard!!"
The fight continued on and more clashes of weapons were exchanged.
It was really good that the enemies thought he had reinforcements. This way, they'd be less likely to move out of the scope of the tool because they were focused solely on attacking him.
The exchange of attacks continued on, until the enemy found an opening and saw his other arm, which seemed stiff.
Clank!
"What?" the man was surprised. He felt his weapon embed a bit but there was no indication of pain on the man.
Eagle smiled. "Fake arm," he said, referring to the new prosthetic arm.
At his level, his skin was sturdier than a mere prosthetic arm, even if it was made of metal. However, feeling no pain was a welcome thing in this case.
One of the advantages though, was that this was a prosthetic arm created by Eugene, Alterra's Creator.
As if by signal, his fake arm that had been dented by the enemy's force, cracked inward as if to hold the man's weapon in place. "WHA—"
This wasn't magic. Somehow, Eugene's team had managed to use magic and other metals to have this effect of an arm trying to 'eat' a weapon. Of course, this was not the case, and the connection was not too strong but it was enough. The sight was creepy too, and to the aborigines who hadn't seen much modern technology this was something akin to witchcraft.
Eagle swung his sword again. Considering the enemy's level, the arm would only hold it for a few seconds but it was enough to distract them.
While one was trapped, the other one took advantage to make his attack. "DIE!"
At this, Eagle turned his body to block the attack, using the other guard's body as a shield. He pushed them both, using his wind to add force and let go of the hold of the enemy's weapon.
[Gust Surge]
He used a good bulk of his mana to create the strongest pushing force he could summon at this time.
BANG!
The two groaned as their bodies smacked the wall of the entrance. They sat up as soon as they could, grabbing extra weapons from their space. They felt pain all over their bodies, but it wasn't enough to take them down.
However, when they raised their heads, rather than the man attacking them, he turned his head in a direction.
"GUYS!" He yelled, "The door is here! Bring everyone! At least two dozen!! HURRY! WE'RE GOING ON A MASSACRE!"
The two men panicked, scrambling to take out their keys from their space.
At the sight of the keys, Eagle's eyes sparked. He had been afraid to kill them earlier. What if the keys were in their spaces? Wouldn't he cry dry tears?
He immediately launched his close ranged attacks (he couldn't do long range because it might go beyond the range of the Voice Blocker) against them.
Using the remaining bulk of mana he had, he used two skills simultaneously.
[Gust Surge]
[Wind Pierce]
Slash!
He stabbed at the neck of one, embedding it deeply past his tonsils. He then turned his body and lifted himself up to step on his body to the other.
Eagle pulled out his sword its embedment, quickly shifting to stab at the other, finally taking him down.
Panting for breath, he leaned down to grab the keys, gripping them tightly in his remaining hand.
Wait a little longer, Chris.
