Aísē: My Five Supernatural Wives-Chapter 95: Isabella?.... No, Mephistopheles!
Slowly, I opened my eyes, blinking against the darkness that surrounded me.
As my vision adjusted, I realized I was lying on a bed, my wrists and ankles bound by thick ropes that bit into my skin.
The room was dimly lit by flickering candles, casting eerie shadows on the stone walls.
I struggled against my restraints, but they held firm, unyielding.
My mind raced as I tried to piece together what had happened—the explosion, the darkness consuming me, and now this. Where was Aisha? Was she safe?"Damn it," I muttered under my breath,
"I have to get out of here."I tugged at the ropes again, pouring mana into my muscles to strengthen them.
But as I did so, a cold voice cut through the air like a knife."Ah, you’re awake," it purred,"how wonderful."
I snapped my head towards the voice, my eyes widening as a figure emerged from the shadows.
My heart raced as I took in her appearance—long pale blue hair but with addition of a unfamiliar heterochromic eyes Purple and blue, and a face that was eerily similar to Isabella’s.
"Who are you?" I demanded, straining against my bonds. "And why do you look like Isabella?"She laughed again, the sound sending shivers down my spine.
"Oh, darling," she said, her voice dripping with malice,"I’m not Isabella. I’m something much more... interesting."She stepped closer, her hips swaying hypnotically.
"I am a demonic spirit," she explained,"summoned by your dear wife as part of a little bargain.
"My blood ran cold at her words. "What kind of bargain?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"Oh, you don’t know?" she mocked, her voice dripping with amusement. "Despite being the prime reason my contractor sacrificed herself?"She leaned in closer, her breath hot against my ear as she whispered,"Because she heard her longtime crush got involved in some naughty supernatural politics.
So, like the good girl she is, she called me to take you away."The demon pulled back slightly, her heterochromatic eyes gleaming with mischief.
"And she wanted to hear you say ’I acknowledge your love’ or something," she added with a dismissive wave of her hand.
"Well, meh. I don’t care about any of that. I just need to seduce you—that’s it." Her fingers traced down my chest teasingly, "And it seems like Isabella has already done half the work for me."
I glared at her with Intense hate "What do you mean?".
She smirked, her eyes raking over my bound form appreciatively.
"Oh, come now," she cooed, "Don’t tell me you didn’t notice how attractive Isabella was. Any man would be lucky to have her."
I clenched my jaw, annoyance and frustration boiling within me. "She was a friend," I snapped,
"Annoying, yes. Weird and hateful, yes. But still someone I could call a friend."
Damn it...
’I wanted to have a serious talk with that idiot, but now she’s gone and done this."
The demon’s smile only widened at my outburst. "Ah, so there is some passion in you after all," she purred,
"I like that." Her hand trailed lower, hovering just above my groin teasingly.
"Now then, shall we begin our little... seduction?"
I struggled against the ropes, pouring every ounce of strength I had into breaking free. But it was no use—the bindings held fast, unyielding to my efforts.
Mephistopheles threw her head back and laughed, the sound echoing mockingly off the stone walls.
"Hahaha!" she cackled, "How pitiful, to think you would bother resisting despite being bound by a demonic spirit like me."
She leaned in close, her tongue darting out to lick a slow path up my cheek.
I shuddered at the contact, disgust, and fear warring within me."I am Mephistopheles," she whispered against my skin, "An ancient and powerful spirit. You stand no chance against me. "Her breath was hot and sulfurous, sending waves of nausea through my stomach as she continued her torment.
Mephistopheles smirked as she traced the contours of my horns and wolf ears, her fingers lingering on the unusual features.
"Heh," she chuckled, "I knew Isabella’s crush was interesting, but to think I’d see a human with five other foreign bloods in his body yet still holding onto his life."She leaned back, studying me with newfound curiosity.
"You’re quite the rarity, aren’t you?" she mused, "A hybrid like no other." Her eyes glinted with a mix of admiration and hunger as they roamed over my form. "Tell me," she purred, "what other secrets does that fascinating body of yours hold?"
My words were laced with venom and fury, my heart racing with worry for Isabella.
"I don’t have any fucking interest in you, bitch," I snarled, "Where is Isabella? I swear if something happened to her..." Mephistopheles’ face darkened at my outburst, her eyes flashing with anger.
"She’s still inside me," she hissed, "Her soul, bound to my own as part of our bargain." A cruel smile spread across her lips, "But don’t worry, dear Valerian. She’s quite... comfortable." She leaned in close, her voice dropping to a whisper, "And soon, you’ll be joining her."
I snapped my jaws, my fangs sinking into Mephistopheles’ flesh as I tried to bite her. But instead of screaming in pain, she smirked, her face blushing suddenly as both her eyes turned a solid blue.
"Val... Valerian?" she gasped, "Why are you here? And where? I was summoning a..." She trailed off, confusion etched on her features as she seemed to struggle with her own thoughts.
"Wait... what happened after that?" Mephistopheles’ voice shifted, taking on a more familiar tone—one that sent a jolt of hope and concern through me. Could it really be Isabella? Or was this just another cruel trick of the demon’s?
"No, ahhn!" Isabella moaned, her voice a mix of pain and confusion. "Valerian, why are you biting me? I feel so weird..."
She squirmed in my grip, her body writhing as if she were fighting against some unseen force.
Tears sprang to her eyes as she stared up at me, her gaze pleading and bewildered.
"Valerian, what’s happening?" she cried, "Where am I? Why does my body feel like it’s on fire?" Her words slurred slightly, her consciousness fading in and out as the demon’s control over her wavered. "Please..." she whispered, "Help me..."
I hesitated, my mind racing as I tried to process the situation. Before, I had cared little for Isabella—she was just another woman to add to the list of those I blamed for my trauma.
But now, after everything that had happened with the supernatural world, marrying the five women, and especially getting to know Aisha...I realized that my hatred had been misdirected.
It was born from the trauma of my past, a bitter resentment that I had unfairly projected onto Isabella and others like her.
Looking down at her now, seeing the fear and confusion in her eyes, I felt a pang of guilt and regret.
She didn’t deserve this—I didn’t deserve to hate her without cause.
"Isabella," I said softly,
"It’s going to be okay."I loosened my grip on her slightly,"I’m going to help you."
"Val... Valerian," Isabella muttered, her words slurred and broken.
"I don’t know... I still don’t understand." She shook her head weakly, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"You told me to learn about love first, but I can’t understand... can I not love you? Am I incapable of loving you?"Her voice cracked with emotion, a raw vulnerability laid bare.
"I don’t know..."Suddenly, her expression changed—hardened—her eyes flashing with a sudden clarity that sent a chill down my spine."Ah," she said, her tone mocking and cruel,
"And there you have it. Aren’t you just great, mister Valerian? You totally made me crazy—made me try to understand an emotion I never received... love."
"Isabella?" I muttered, a sense of unease settling in my gut."No... Mephistopheles. "The demon’s lips curled into a wicked smile, her eyes gleaming with malice. "Ah, so you’ve finally figured it out," she purred, "Good for you." She leaned in closer, her breath hot against my ear, "You see, Valerian, Isabella is still in here—trapped inside her own mind, drowning in the emotions she never knew how to handle. "Mephistopheles’ voice dropped to a whisper, "And all because of you."
I gritted my teeth, a surge of anger and desperation coursing through me. "What do you want?" I demanded, "What will make you leave her alone?"
Mephistopheles laughed, the sound echoing mockingly off the stone walls.
"Leave her alone?" she repeated, "Oh, Valerian, you’re so naive." She traced a finger along my jawline, her touch sending shivers of revulsion down my spine.
"I want what Isabella wanted—to possess you, body and soul."Her eyes gleamed with hunger, "And as for leaving her alone..." She smirked cruelly,"
That’s not an option. She’s mine now—her soul bound to me forever."
Mephistopheles’ smile widened, a cruel and triumphant grin spreading across her face. "That’s right," she purred,
"That’s how my contract with Isabella works. "She leaned in closer, her lips brushing against my ear as she whispered, "And unless I fail to complete it—which will never happen—she’ll remain trapped with me forever."
The demon pulled back slightly, her heterochromatic eyes locking onto mine with a fierce intensity.
"So you see, Valerian," she said softly,
"You have no choice but to play along with our little game. "Her hand trailed down my chest teasingly, "Now then... shall we begin?"
