Almighty Father System-Chapter 423: Happening Night.

Since he was aware that his work was now cut out for him, Leo began to think about that aspect of his life while taking care of his children. After a few weeks, he consciously handled the twins in the night. He sang them songs and told them stories before massaging them a little and put them to sleep. His actions brought a smile to Snow but finally she could not help but say, "When was the last time you massaged me?"

Leo was surprised and then he turned to look at her before he replied, "On the night we consummated the relation. Right?"

Snow was surprised now, she didn’t expect him to remember that scene and asked, "How do you even remember something that far ago in the past?"

Leo smiled and replied, "Every moment spent with you is worth remembering eternally."

Snow chuckled and said, "Cheesy! However, now that you have said this, I have a counter for it."

Leo chuckled at this and asked provocatively, "What would that be?"

Snow changed her easy going expression and put on a serious face before she asked, "So, those moments are special enough to remember but they are not special enough to recreate?"

She was not backing of from the tease, she had made up her mind that from now on, even if she had to shoulder many things about work, she would not step back, because she believed that her lax attitude was the reason behind why Leo had fallen sick as he shouldered so many things. Since she wanted him to relax, this was the best way of doing things and not look deliberate. She looked at Leo with a smirk thinking he cannot make a comeback but then she calmed down because Leo looked at her for a prolonged second and said, "It was certainly because we recreated that particular moment that we have the twins."

Snow was stunned by how he said this sentence, and just when she was about to ask what he meant, Lily dashed over and sat down between them. She said, "Princess Amare is going live on the TV with the duchess."

The couple quickly turned their heads, because Lily had already found the television remote and put on the news channel. The camera was aimed at the podium inside the press room of the Palace, where the palace official just made an announcement that the Princess was stepping up to address the nation.

Soon, Amare appeared on the screen wearing a white and blue dress. She calmly came to stand behind the podium and looked at the people for a few seconds before she said, "Good evening everyone, I thank you all for coming over and entertaining the whims of a child, and at the same time I apologize for disturbing your schedule to say a few words that came to my mind after the incident yesterday. I am well aware that I have no official capacity to address the nation, but since I am a citizen of the nation and have been through something that was not only violent but also something that changed my outlook towards many things, I thought it was only right to use the platform provided to me and reach out to the wise fellow citizens of the nation."

She spoke in one-go, and the people were surprised by the choice of her words. They were all strong and they were all in favor of gaining momentum. After the pause, before anyone could react,

Amare started speaking again, "Yesterday, what the people did was not something that could be associated with a peaceful progression about the things they felt were wrong. It was violent and harmful. The gentleman who saved me took the full impact on his shoulder. That was the display of exactly what we need. The royal family has stood beside you all from the very start, and at times they have stood in the front as well, to shield you all from the vices of the world. Yes, we have faltered at times, but that is because we are only humans as well.

As his Majesty sits on the throne today, he is not the sole authority of the country. It is the voices of the people that decide what we should do or not. This transition while has connected the royal family to the right people but at the same time it has given some power to the people who won’t mind killing and oppressing the others to gain control and fill their coffers. It is these opportunists that we need to be wary of, it is them whom we should protect ourselves from, because once you take a step ahead based on what they said, you will take a fall, and believe me these people who pack their bags and run away.

Today as I stand in front of you all, I implore the elders to step up, and write your discomforts to me. With the blessings and command of His Majesty, I have taken over the task of addressing problems and revitalizing the old department of complaints. All your complaints will be personally handled by the royal family and then redirected to the relevant departments. The officials will reach out to you personally and handle things in a swift manner. I know that everyone has small and big complaints, but I am only young and can handle a little. That said, she bowed to the people and without wasting any time took a step back, and just when the people were getting ready to unload the artillery fire on the Princess with their questions, the Duchess stepped up with her graceful smile. Meanwhile back in the room, Leo and Snow exchanged a glance before they looked at Lily who was watching the whole thing with her arms crossed, and a proud smile on her face, and the latter asked, "What is this about?"

Lily chuckled and said, "Ofcourse, it is me, your beautiful and genius daughter who inspired the Princess to take part in the national affairs. Who knew she was so smart to handle the corruption rackets directly."

Leo held his forehead and Snow grabbed Lily’s ear as she said slowly, "Lily Valeria Cardinal, you are grounded for the coming two weeks, and no sweets for you."

Lily was shocked as she winced and protested, "Ma, I didn’t do anything wrong. I am innocent. Baba, save me, ouch! My ear is about to come off."

Leo looked at Snow and the lady roared, "Leo Christopher Cardinal, I dare you to utter a syllable and see what I do to you both. You both exist to cause trouble and chaos in the world."

The husband was tamed and the father was condemned for being weak that night.
