An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 53: Feeding
Chapter 53: Feeding
The Orc struck the figure with full strength. The figure moved its sword slightly and blocked the attack without any difficulty. It rose, kicked the Orc to the ground, and stabbed right through the heart of the Orc, killing him.
As the blade went through his heart, Riche woke up in his room.
"I guess that’s how he died," Riven said.

What he gained from the crystal was the same as the goblin crystal. He thought it would give more, but it didn’t.
Since he had abused that core, he finally took out the red core he gained from the crystal. He stared at the crystal, unsure if absorbing it was the best idea.
He finally decided to absorb it and see what would happen. He closed his eyes and allowed the system to absorb it.
Immediately, he felt a burning sensation. It ran through his entire body, making him feel like he was burning up.
His temperature rose rapidly without stop, and after several minutes of that burning pain, the whole place went black. Unlike before, this darkness was not like the one he knew; it felt evil, sinister.
He opened his eyes only to see thousands of goblins standing in a very long line, all chained and moving slowly.
At the front of the line, he saw the same armoured men standing, killing the goblins one after the other, allowing their blood to flow onto the land.
Riven watched this horrific sight, but then all of a sudden, the scene changed into another one where goblins were being tortured constantly by metal dolls. They moved with blades, cutting and stabbing.
Seeing all this lit one question in Raven’s mind: why? Why were they doing something like this to them? He couldn’t understand why. After all, all he had seen were the fragments of their memories.
He kept watching the scene, but then all of a sudden, the scene started glitching, twisting, and turning. It turned red, and then a heavy sharp pain hit his head.
He jerked back to reality, his head banging with pain. He began regretting absorbing the crystal, but when he saw the notification that followed, all that regret vanished.

He had gained a lot more than when he used the normal crystals. He immediately pulled out the one from the golem. He immediately absorbed it without thought.
The burning sensation came, and this time it was far more than the first. It felt like his veins were on fire. The scene began changing, but this time it didn’t allow him to even get to see what the vision was. It glitched hard, and a sharp pain shot through his head. He jerked awake.

He gained the same amount with the other one, but he was still happy regardless. Since he had used all the red crystals, he started absorbing more of the normal crystals.
He wanted to see how much he could absorb. He had already absorbed two from the goblins and one from the blood bats, if he recalled properly.
He pulled out more and started absorbing, taking in nine blood bat crystals and eight goblin crystals.

[You have exhausted the limit for blood bat crystals]
He read the notification. It was pretty self-explanatory; the limit for every crystal type was ten.
’Wished it could be more, I’d love more free stats,’ he thought, but he was still happy with what he had gotten at least.
"System, stats," he called out.

He poured all into Charisma. Now that he had assigned all the stats, he could finally rest for a bit. He closed his eyes, allowing himself to drift off to sleep.

Riven woke up. The warm glow of the setting sun shined through the window and on his face. The warm scent of porridge reached his nose immediately.
"You slept for quite long," Sophie said. She sat in the chair in the room, beside the table where a plate of food was set.
Riven turned his head to her. "Sophie, nice to see you," he said, cracking a smile.
"You seem happy to see me. Why?" she asked.
"Do I need a reason to be happy?" he asked.
"Well no, but it’s weird that you would smile if you see me," she said casually, dragging the chair near the bed and then carrying the food close.
"Can you eat yourself, or should I feed you?" she asked.
"Well, I’d be happy if you fed me," he said, smiling even more.
"Stop being a big baby and do it yourself," she said.
"No, I can’t. My hands are too weak," he said. She looked at him with a frown. After a few seconds, the frown faded, and she helped him raise his head and lean against the headboard.
