Chapter 1392: Purple Mark Guard (Half-Step Red Mark Warrior)

Thunderflame Faction

Main Elder Leola’s reasoning brought a new realization to everyone.

They had almost forgotten the crucial details. Leola was right. The rumours started appearing all over the Tier-4 Region at the same time.

Faction Leader Clifford’s expression changed drastically. His mind began to race. Soon, his eyes filled with horror as he uncovered something.

"We almost forgot about the foreign creatures. It could be their shady work. How could they let it go if Zack Lockwood killed their members?"

"They won’t let go of potential human warriors. All the talented human warriors are on their kill list. And Zack Lockwood is above normal genius warriors."

"So his name must have been marked on the kill list," he added in a grave tone.

Austin’s eyes turned cold. How could he forget about the foreign creatures? But the warrior camps were different.

They couldn’t watch the battles happening in the passages. Only after their return from the passages could both sides confirm the casualties.

Then the same point was on everyone’s mind.

Suddenly, Main Elder Ann thought of something. She was in disbelief. She then turned towards the Faction Leader.

She asked, "Faction Leader, what’s the warrior camp number of my disciple? Did the Dean send him to the top 10 warrior camp?"

"What?" Cathy uttered in disbelief.

Leola’s eyes flickered. She thought of something. Only this way had the foreign creatures watched that kid’s battle. Then the rumours started appearing all over the region.

If that kid comes out next, then he will face more assassination attempts.

Rosie was shocked as well. She didn’t expect so many things to occur.

"You guys are right. It must be related to the foreign creatures. But I don’t know which warrior camp it was. I’ll go and ask the Dean next," Clifford said.

"Leader, I want to come," Austin said.

"No. Other Factions must be paying attention to us. We should not leak any clues," Clifford denied the request.

Then they spoke about a few other things before ending the meeting.

Everyone then returned to their place. Clifford went to meet Dean Jerome. To be honest, he had never seen this much noise and trouble around Zack Lockwood.

Swoosh!

It didn’t take long for him to get there. When he arrived in front of the office, he asked for permission to enter.

Dean Jerome was seated at the desk. He was already waiting for him. Then he gave permission.

Creak!

The door opened.

Next, Faction Leader Clifford walked inside the room. He saw Dean Jerome and greeted him.

Jerome asked him to take a seat.

Clifford sat down. But he was nervous. He turned towards Dean Jerome.

"Dean, what’s going on?"

"Rumours about Zack Lockwood are spreading everywhere in the Tier-4 Region. We concluded that it could be the work of the foreign creature side," he said.

Jerome raised his eyebrows in surprise. He didn’t expect them to figure it out this soon. He had a phone call with Supervisor Ronan. He knew exactly what happened.

If the rumours didn’t appear after that, then he would be really surprised. He was glad that Zack Lockwood used a face mask from the beginning. He had not revealed his name either.

Which provided needed safety for him in the camp.

Otherwise, the news would have reached other universities as well. Then the real trouble would come.

Clifford saw that Dean Jerome was frowning. He believed Dean Jerome knew something. But he had been refusing to tell them for some reason.

A few seconds later, Jerome spoke.

"You guys are right. This kid, Zack, has been doing well on the battlefield. But so far no one knows that it’s him. Because he began using a face mask to hide his identity."

"No one knows his name in the camp. I guess he will use a fake name in the coming days," Jerome said in a solemn tone.

"What?" Clifford was dumbfounded.

He didn’t expect Zack Lockwood to be doing better than they had imagined. Because Dean Jerome doesn’t praise anyone easily.

It meant Zack Lockwood had done really well. The foreign creature side must have suffered heavy casualties.

He gulped his saliva. A dignified half-step Red Mark Warrior like him was now deeply worried about the kid.

Sigh.

Jerome let out a sigh.

He could understand their tension and worry. Soon, the other Factions would be paying attention to them. He needed to watch over them as well.

"Clifford, I know you and the other elders are worried about the kid. I have told you before. I’m watching over the kid. Nothing will happen to him," Jerome said in a stern tone.

Because the Thunderflame Faction visited frequently whenever a situation arose.

Clifford was embarrassed. He could understand the meaning behind Dean Jerome’s words. He was not coming here only for himself, but on behalf of Main Elder Ann and Austin as well.

"I’m sorry, but I hope you will allow us to have regular updates," Clifford asked.

"Alright, I’ll send him to meet you guys whenever there is news." After saying that, he pointed towards the wall. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Clifford turned around and saw the Purple Mark Guard. His eyes flashed with a gleam. He knew this was the guard appointed as a protector for Zack Lockwood.

"Not even the half-step Red Mark Warriors can win against him. The kid will be safe when he comes back from the warrior camp," Jerome said.

Clifford was stunned. He had no doubt about it. Because he felt a sense of threat from the Purple Mark Guard.

His eyes glinted with understanding.

"Did he reach that level?" He asked.

Jerome nodded his head.

Gasp!

There was an internal storm in Clifford’s heart. He had known it for some time. But getting the official confirmation from Dean Jerome’s mouth, he could be truly at ease. Then he could tell the others as well.

After some talk, he left the office.

Dean Jerome waited for him to leave. Once he left the place, Jerome turned towards the Purple Mark Guard.

"You heard everything. It’s the work of foreign creatures. They will order their spies to take action. We have got another opportunity to clear out the territory," Jerome said with a smile.

"Yes," the Purple Mark Guard replied.
