Kumogi grinned from ear to ear. Why? Because he finally got his hands on the latest ZEPS release featuring six newest MAY release games. Even better, he managed to snag the coveted Light Gun. As a gun enthusiast, there was no way he was passing this up. He'd seen the ads, read the buzz in ZAGE Power magazine, but nothing beat the thrill of holding it in his hands. Anticipation bubbling over, he queued outside the electronics store from the crack of dawn. He wasn't the only one — the line snaked down the block. Luckily, after what felt like an eternity, he walked away with his prize. The Light Gun was selling like hotcakes, and anyone who walked away empty-handed was in for a long day.

Kumogi admired the toy gun controller, turning it over in his hands. It had a sleek, futuristic charm — unmistakably a toy, yet cool enough to make anyone do a double-take. He chuckled to himself. "Heh, imagine queuing for hours and walking away with nothing!"

He wasted no time ripping open the Duck Hunt box. Inside, as expected: the game cartridge, manual, a ZEPS Wow! booklet, and a Zabo-man card. This time, the card read, "I will punch the damn dog if you shoot me." Kumogi blinked. "What the hell? Punch the dog? That's... that's definitely going to piss off some people." He chuckled anyway and tossed the card aside.

Slotting the Duck Hunt cartridge into his ZEPS, the catchy menu music filled the room. Kumogi grinned and jumped straight into the game. The said and iconic dog appeared on screen, sniffing around before diving into the bushes. Moments later, ducks took flight. "Alright... time to bag some ducks," he muttered. He raised the Light Gun, aimed carefully, and pulled the trigger. The duck dropped instantly. His jaw dropped with it.

"Holy crap! What kind of sorcery is this?!" he shouted. The thrill was instantaneous — pointing a plastic gun at the TV and seeing immediate results felt like magic. He couldn't stop grinning.

As the levels progressed, new challenges kept him on his toes. Bomb Ducks exploded on impact, deducting points instead of adding them. Speedo Ducks zipped across the screen at breakneck speed, but taking them down yielded hefty rewards. And then there were the Super Ducks — tanky little monsters which have way bigger size than normal ducks but took 6 shots to kill. Kumogi's frustration grew, but so did his determination.

And then there was the dog.

That smug, grinning mutt. Every time Kumogi missed, the dog popped up to mock him, shaking his head with an infuriating smirk. Kumogi gritted his teeth. "You little...!" But he kept playing. He had to.

By the time he reached Stage 9, his frustration reached boiling point. Suddenly, Zabo-man, dressed in a ridiculous duck costume, soared across the screen. Kumogi's eyes widened. "No way..." He aimed with laser focus. Shot after shot, he hammered the trigger. After seven hits, Zabo-man plummeted to the ground. The dog approached him as usual — but this time, Zabo-man punched the dog square in the face. The dog staggered, eyes spinning. Zabo-man flew off triumphantly while showing the text "You're Very cool".

Kumogi burst out laughing. "Yes! Punch that smug little face!" He howled with laughter, wiping tears from his eyes. It was the most satisfying moment in the entire game.

With newfound energy, he kept playing. The Light Gun wasn't just a gimmick — it was magic. He felt like a kid discovering insane toys for the first time. He couldn't wait to brag about it to his friends.

As the hours passed, he found himself marveling at the game's variety. In one stage, ducks flew in chaotic patterns, forcing him to track multiple targets at once. Another stage had ducks that mirrored his movements, making it nearly impossible to land a hit. Kumogi shouted at the screen, cursing at the unfair mechanics, but he never put the gun down. It was frustrating, addictive, and utterly brilliant, not only that the DOG!, really made him pissed!.

At one point, a special bonus stage appeared. A golden duck with a crown zipped across the screen. Kumogi aimed, fired, and missed. He screamed in disbelief. "Are you serious?! That thing was lightning fast!" He spent the next thirty minutes grinding through levels just to trigger the bonus stage again.

By the time the sun began to set, Kumogi was still glued to the screen. His arms ached from holding the Light Gun, but he didn't care. The satisfaction of hitting that elusive golden duck finally came, and he leaped off the couch, pumping his fists in the air. "Yes! Take that!" he shouted.

With sweat on his brow and a grin plastered on his face, he sat back down, wiping his hands on his pants. The Light Gun was more than a toy — it was an experience. For a brief moment, he felt like a hero, a marksman, a kid in the golden age of gaming. Then Kumogi remembered the dog Smug face "What the hell! That goddamn dog is still driving me insane! I swear if I could, I'd zap that smug grin right off its face!"
