Another World Mall-Chapter 948: Revealing His Card
"How is it?" Clovis asked.
"Good news. My grandfather can help. However, it is only limited to the two countries that are next to you. As for the two that you requested, there’s a high chance it won’t be possible. There’s not much time to do it, so it’s kind of impossible. Even the current two... due to the immediate request, we have to pay more."
"I see. Sorry about that." Clovis thought for a moment. "It’s enough for the time being."
"Plan to tell me what’s going on? Can you handle it? Do you want me to send my experts there?"
Clovis thought for a moment. "Do you know Jun from Astrien?"
"Oh, the tyrannical guy of Astrien? Yeah. I have heard of him."
"Someone told me that he was suspicious. I had Aileen tail him and figured out that the enemy was working with him. Currently, I couldn’t confirm whether the enemy worked with other countries or not.
"Right now, Curea will be our ally, and our original ally has to switch their positions, becoming a buffer on the north. Curea has dispatched its agents to become a buffer between this country and them.
"In other words, my country will focus on an attack from the country stationed in the south of the battlefield."
Hana finally understood why Clovis had made such preparations. "I see. Do you have a battle plan?"
"Somewhat. It’s still incomplete, but we will manage."
"I see. In that case, I hope you succeed. If you still need something, contact me right away." Hana’s voice was filled with worry. This was the first time Clovis and the Prophet were going to confront each other on a large scale.
She didn’t want it to happen like the Hacfield family so many years ago. Knowing Clovis, he would probably try to win without any casualties.
To do such a thing, they had to overwhelm their enemies. That was why Clovis wanted to have all those keys.
Hana was worried that if the Prophet could sneak up on his grandfather, he might be able to do the same thing to Clovis.
She just hoped she was wrong about it.
"Thanks for the help, Hana." Clovis smiled, seeing her care. Although Hana didn’t say it explicitly, she had been toning down her greed now that Clovis was in deep trouble.
Clovis wanted this to become a bottom line. He wanted to have everyone work together if the family was in trouble, and it looked like Hana could tone down her greed accordingly.
At the very least, she respected his decision.
Now that he possessed the keys, he regrouped with his father the next morning.
"I’ve got 6 Tier 8 and 30 Tier 7 humans as reinforcements. What about you?"
"We have gotten RAID involved. They were once scammed and almost forced to clash with us, so we were lucky to be able to get them. They have brought 2 Tier 8s, 10 Tier 7s, and 30 Tier 6 humans."
RAID might not have had the quality, but they had enough numbers to mess up the enemy. Meanwhile, the reinforcements Gerald brought had the necessary quality.
Gerald looked down, contemplating. He could give out a plan, but he first looked at Clovis. "What do you think? Do you have any plans on how we should handle them?"
Clovis pondered for a few minutes before placing a few pieces on the table. "We will first position the group from Absalom slightly to the side to generate enough gap for the battlefield.
"We will clash with them there. In addition, the country next to us should have an order to maintain its course. As such, if they come to attack us, we will know.
"There is another country north of us, but we have two countries as a buffer, so we don’t have to worry about this direction for the time being.
"So, our strategy will be simple. The Libation Fiesta will be the bait to lure them out. I’m sure they’re going to face us head-on, maybe overwhelming us with their numbers.
"We’ll fall into their trap and fight them. Then, Dad, you go with the Shadow Guards and attack them from the north, meaning you have to enter this place prior to the event.
"RAID will come to close the area and encircle them. We will then hit them hard like this.
"In the case of reinforcement, the reinforcements you’ve gathered will have to handle them. Then, strike hard if there are any hidden cards, or surround the enemy from the back if there are no hidden cards.
"We have to consider the possibility of them being spies as well, including RAID. So, we will have to proceed carefully. We will place ourselves in a position where we can be safe from the worst-case scenario.
"If it comes to that, we will have to retreat to Absalom and seek refuge. With our combined strength, it will be hard for the enemy to escape unscathed either. So, if they chase us, they will be the ones defeated.
"Still, there is a high chance they will lure out the beasts to mess with our plan. In this scenario, we will have Absalom take advantage of this opportunity.
"In addition, I want to use something to catch my enemies off guard."
"That is?" Gerald asked. He didn’t know about Clovis’ trump card, so he wondered what could surprise the Prophet.
Clovis had finally decided to use his trump card. With the fight becoming increasingly difficult, he has to play all his cards if he wants to win.
He raised his hand as a cupcake appeared out of nowhere.
"!!!" Gerald widened his eyes. He had information about Clovis’ unique ability, but he thought it was similar to Mara’s. That was why Mara taught him in the first place.
Yet, he never thought Clovis’ unique ability would be different. No, he might have been hiding it the whole time.
"Two unique abilities?" Gerald gasped, figuring out the hidden card that Clovis had been hiding from everyone, including his family.
