"Two unique abilities?" Gerald widened his eyes in shock.

Clovis didn’t say anything. He simply presented the food to his father. "Why don’t you or someone from the Shadow Guards take it?"

Gerald thought for a moment before asking, "Can it be split?"

"It’s best to eat it as a whole. If you want one more, I can give it to you." Clovis took out another one.

Gerald paused for a moment before asking on the radio. "Sean. Come in."

A middle-aged man entered. "Boss?"

"Eat this." Gerald tossed the second cupcake while he planned to eat the first one.

The reason he wanted to eat it himself was so that he didn’t look like he suspected his son.

However, he wanted to prove it to the shadow guards as well so that it would be easier to convince them. Hence, it would be good if one of them could eat the cupcake.

Sean nodded. Since it was a bite-size, Sean swallowed it in one go. Gerald did the same.

Their eyes widened the moment they realized why Clovis wanted them to eat it.

There was a surge of strength that couldn’t be described in their bodies.

"What is this..." Gerald gasped.

Sean was shocked as well, but he didn’t say anything.

"My strength has increased quite a bit. 10%? No, it’s more." Gerald couldn’t comprehend what was actually going on. "Sean. How about you?"

"I believe my strength has increased by 15%, Boss."

Clovis raised one finger. "If you eat it, your strength will increase by 15% for 20 minutes. This will be our trump card."

Gerald was completely stunned. He didn’t know Clovis had this trump card the whole time.

Now that he thought about it, Clovis had shown strength much higher than his current tier.

’Could it be because of the food? Where in the world did he get this food? The second unique ability? No, that’s not important.’ Gerald shook the thought out of his mind. There was only one thing that mattered.

As long as the food could turn the situation around, there was no need to question other things.

"You’ve been fighting with this?" Gerald asked.

"No. I only use it as a trump card." Clovis shook his head.

"!!!" Gerald was quite surprised. If Clovis was telling the truth, it meant that without the food, Clovis was already that strong. If he had the food, he could probably defeat someone like Iskandar in just three minutes.

What Gerald didn’t know was that Clovis had other things. He still had the big food that would grant higher power with a longer duration. There were also the pills from the pharmacist.

If he ended up using all of them together, he might be able to fight his father for a few minutes.

Still, Clovis could combine different types together. That was why he wanted it as a trump card.

"I will give the Shadow Squad one for each member. This will be used as our trump card against them."

"None." Clovis shook his head. "You don’t have to worry about that."

Gerald didn’t ask for more. This kind of power was too unique. If other people knew about this, they would turn Clovis into their puppet.

"I can take them out right now. Just make sure to preserve it."

"I’ll ask Melody." Clovis had intended to let the new pet handle her fight so Melody could focus on being an operator during this expedition.

Clovis then took out food from Another World Mall.

"Sean. Preserve it and distribute it to everyone. Explain it to them."

"Got it, Boss." Sean nodded before bowing to Clovis, showing his respect to the young master for his contribution.

While Melody worked on the communication, Gerald asked, "So, are you going back after this?"

"Yeah. It’s better for me to go back now before it gets even more suspicious. I’ll try to probe anyone in this hunt as well, but I can’t guarantee anything."

"What’s the remaining schedule?" Gerald nodded in understanding.

"There’s only a banquet tonight. They will probably give us a little briefing after that. That’s all. Tomorrow, we will start at the same time for a whole week."

"Got it. I’ll take care of the rest. You should be careful as well."

"Yes." Clovis assured him with a solemn expression. He had been preparing for it for the last couple of months, so he planned to fulfill the task his great-grandmother gave him.

"Do you have anything else to ask?" Gerald asked, noticing Melody hadn’t finished.

If Clovis planned to ask why they left him, Gerald was prepared to reveal that secret.

However, Clovis had no interest in that secret. He asked a question that no one would have expected. "Dad. Are you scared of great-grandma?"

"!!!" Gerald widened his eyes in shock. His body trembled slightly as he noticed Melody stopping.

He hurriedly stood up and snatched his communication device from Melody. "Ahahaha. It looks like the work is done. It’s time for me to disappear. I can’t afford to have anyone witness us."

"..." Clovis was speechless. Gerald actually ran away after that simple question.

It looked like whether it was his grandfather or his father, both of them were scared of Silvia.
