Chapter 104: Fierce

"ATLAS!!!! SHOW ME ALL OF THE THINGS YOU HAVE GOT!!! DO NOT HIDE NOR DO NOT ESCAPE!!!"

Atlas had heard Cordelia’s words verbatim as they reached his ears from inside the arena, through the dark clouds that rained and thundered and the voices of thirty thousand monsters.

At that moment, his whole body literally trembled from head to toe. This was not a request from his teacher or something he had been taught. Sage of Eternity Cordelia was giving Atlas a direct order.

For all to see, everything he was capable of.

Atlas inhaled deeply and exhaled. Even though the rain severely restricted his vision, the Superview ability Nyx had bestowed upon him still enhanced it, even in a moment like this.

He closed his eyes. He wanted to use the aggressive adrenaline in his body to his advantage. His body, trembling from exhaustion, began to recover and with perhaps two hundred metres between him and the monsters, he calmly said "Night’s Flow".

As soon as he used the ability, he could see that the mana circulation in his body had reached an incredible quality. With that, he stabbed the holy sword into the earth, and immediately after that, he calmly said ’"Heaven’s Tempest." while moving as if reaching out towards the huge wave of monsters coming towards him.

After he said those two words, every single drop of mana left in his body instantly spilt out. He was expelling an INCREDIBLY large amount of mana.

If he wasn’t someone who could use both aura and mana, he would have fainted on the spot and died as a result.

Nevertheless, even though all his mana had ended, he was only out of breath and managed to stand up.

His two words of incantation had changed the pattern of the clouds in the sky and even added new ones.

This fourth spell was the most powerful, brutal and even forbidden by national empires to be used on the battlefield.

But this prohibition did not apply to monsters.

The huge puddle of mana coming out of Atlas’s hand began to move towards the more than thirty thousand monsters coming towards it like a moving storm.

Many lightning bolts descending from the clouds in the sky began to fall on the monsters.

Even though many monsters were able to avoid them, a hundred or even two hundred of them were already dead.

The reason why the weather was terrible was one of the reasons why Atlas had chosen this spell. Even if he ran out of mana, the terrible weather would still support the storm spell he used. In other words, Atlas was able to kill almost a thousand monsters with one stone in a minute.

That’s what made this spell forbidden among the empires. This spell was a nature spell, a spell that would never, ever disappear unless nature itself suddenly disappeared, unless that cloudy air in the air disappeared.

So Atlas no longer had any reason to use mana anyway. He just needed to somehow push the monsters away or run around to keep them in the spell.

Even if he couldn’t hear the cheers from outside the arena, he was at least aware that Cordelia, the other Sages, and his precious sister were with him.

The sly smile that suddenly formed on his face made everyone watching tremble from head to toe, and Atlas instantly began to run towards the remaining 31000 monsters.

He skilfully avoided the incoming fireballs, deluge attacks, thorns and tonnes of other attacks, and kept moving forward without stopping.

He recalled the holy sword he had stabbed into the ground and continued to advance without stopping.

He could have been fighting with his left arm, which was his weak arm. His mana may have been completely depleted and even his aura may have been reduced to almost nothing, but he still had many abilities that he had not used yet...

Well...at least two of them.

He had to wait for the right time. He had to wait for the right time to use both Starry Night and Goddess’s Fury. At least half of the monsters had to die to use the ability that would partially turn it into a gigantic powerhouse for only five minutes.

With Heaven’s Tempest still ravaging the battlefield, there was now less than a hundred metres between Atlas and the monsters.

He continued to avoid attacks from afar, and then, clutching his holy sword tightly, he went straight for the first monster that came his way, one of the Sun Wolves.

"ROOARRGHHHHHHKK!!!"

With a howl, the Sun Wolf had vividly released the pain outward, with the holy sword stabbed right in its face.

Atlas dodged the lunging attacks of the other wolves as he drew the holy sword, and even parried the claw attack of one of them, killing close to ten Sun Wolves in a matter of seconds.

Far across the battlefield he could hear the howls, hear the deafening growls and see the faint fireballs the Wyverns were still relentlessly sending out.

Atlas was lucky. The fireballs from the wyverns might have been aimed at him, but the fact that he was constantly dodging and jumping from monster to monster really fast kept causing the fireballs to hit other monsters, not him.

It was an excellent attack strategy.

Even if the other flying monsters were dying from Heaven’s Tempest ability, the Wyverns’ massive wings were able to give them some serious help.

Unfortunately, Atlas did not have the power to kill the monsters in the sky at the moment. Even if his mana was being replenished every second, he would have to have a much larger mana to take down the Wyverns.

When he used his Starry Night ability, maybe he could do it with aura attacks, but right now he had to deal with the monsters on earth.

He had to swing his sword even faster, parry better, and make better progress.

He still had many steps to go.
