Chapter 33: Found One!

When the next day came, Atlas woke up early again. After a nice shower, he left his room wearing his first year robe. Standing just outside his room was a member of the student committee.

"Good morning, young master," she said. This girl was the same girl who had offered him her hand in the dining hall yesterday.

"Good morning, madam," Atlas replied, he couldn’t say he knew her name.

"Please follow me, we may not have been able to go yesterday, but it is my duty to bring you to the dining hall since it will be a while before classes start." the girl said and then spoke again with a small cough:

"My name is Elise Fang, I’m known around the academy by the nickname [Tarantula] because of my first name, last name and the type of magic I use, I’m a fourth-year student and I’m 18 years old, I’ve been assigned to you by Lady Cordelia."

Atlas was actually quite seriously surprised when he heard the name and surname of the woman standing in front of him. He had met many heroes in his previous life. He had met quite a lot of people. On top of that, he had fought alongside many people.

He could see that the woman in front of him was clearly half-elf.

In his previous life, he had met a half-elf with the same nickname, and after a long time, he was entitled to learn the name and surname of that woman.

This woman always wore a mask and stayed in secret places even when she needed to eat. She was someone who made it clear that her face was injured and that this mask would not come off until the end of her life.

Yet no one had ever seen this woman die. After a protracted battle, she had virtually disappeared. Even though many people said she was dead, Atlas remembered how powerful this woman was.

This was a woman with ten magic rings, she couldn’t be killed that easily.

"Nice to meet you..." Atlas muttered and then added, "We can go."

It was just a possibility but even that was making Atlas exited enough. Literally, he could be standing near one of the strongest battle mages that will ever exist in the future.

After a short while, they managed to reach the cafeteria, which was usually reserved for students who needed special protection.

When Atlas walked through the cafeteria doors, he could understand why everyone around him was there. None of the first or second-year students were here. There was no way they could be here anyway. This was a place where very special nobles were protected or students who showed incredible potential were under protection.

Of course, it was not only the cafeteria but the whole of this part of the school.

In this situation, no first and second-year student could contribute enough, of course, to gain special protection within the school. It was a little different for Atlas, though.

Atlas and Elise had moved to the student committee table immediately after getting their food.

As the group began to eat, Atlas began to constantly glance around. Conversations, changing voices, and even strange looks were moving around the cafeteria.

It was no different for Atlas. It looked like he was looking for someone he hadn’t seen in a long time. Every time someone came in through the cafeteria door, he turned his head and slowly and gently devoured the pieces of chicken in front of him while trying to control what was happening.

After almost ten minutes, Atlas was about to give up. He had a class in almost two hours, and it was on the other side of the enormous academy. It was to be a combat training class.

Just as Atlas was about to focus on his meal, someone entered the cafeteria.

He looked like a young man with brown hair and deep blue eyes. This was Kris Iradler, a fourth-year student.

Atlas tried to keep himself as calm as possible at that moment. Even if he didn’t realise it, his clenched teeth echoed throughout the cafeteria.

Kris Iradler. Perhaps one of the shittiest people in history. He was a man who ran an underground slave trade centre and tried to oppress every race except the human race. It’s safe to say he was a sack of shit.

Kris was also the man who tortured and sold one of Atlas’ closest friends from his former life before they even met. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

This made him a direct target for Atlas.

"Are you all right, young master?" asked one of the committee members sitting just to Atlas’ left.

Atlas shook his head and tried to calm himself down, and then managed to finish his meal quickly.

When he left the mess hall, he knew he had to do some serious research on Kris. He needed to be prepared for any situation. Indeed, he had to find out all of Kris’s trade networks, all of his friendships and who were the people who supported him.

As a devil worshipper, Kris had to be killed as soon as possible, but Atlas couldn’t do it directly.

He didn’t even know that Cordelia and the others had become serious about destroying the demon worshippers for him.

This meant Atlas had to find out just how fucked up Kris was and all the crimes he had committed. That way there would be a definitive answer.

He knew every one of them. He knew every one of the evil people, who wished for the end of everything and worked for it.

This was enough to show that he was already ten steps ahead.

Atlas had finally left Elise and the others and had specifically told Elise that he wanted to be friends with her.

Immediately after that, instead of taking advantage of the two hours remaining before his class, he chose to go to where the class was going to be and started walking.

It had taken him almost thirty minutes to get from one end of the academy to the other, but it had been worth it. He even had the opportunity to find out what today’s lesson would be for.

It all looked like it was going to be a lot of fun. At least in the eyes of a psychopath like Atlas.
