Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 37: Silent Room
Chapter 37: Silent Room
The room looked rather gloomy. Everything was under shadows and darkness. The only thing that could be seen in the room was the glowing eye colours.
From the number of eyes, it could be seen that there were four people in the room. One of them had a third eye on his forehead, but that was not a big deal.
"We lost ten people in just half a week, nine assassins, and among them were even aura users who were able to evolve. On top of that, we lost Amber because of Percy, what do you have to say about that?" said the red-eyed one among them.
His gaze kept returning to the trio on each side of the table.
"It’s not even Percy!" the three-eyed one shouted, his voice thick and aggressive.
"That’s right. The one who killed the nine assassins is none other than Eva’s little brother," replied the woman with blue eyes and a thin voice.
"You are not wrong. Using both magic and aura. A truly incredible skill. A young man who possesses what we have been trying to do since the beginning of our organisation... for thousands of years," the three-eyed man replied.
"You’re not wrong. Assuming Amber doesn’t know who we are, and even if she does, if we somehow hide who we are, maybe we can get her on our side," replied the quietest of the group.
"Possibly. But there is no way we can enter the academy right now. Because of this problem, the whole academy will be thoroughly checked, and even our spies inside the academy will be detected. How do we do it?" asked the red-eyed man.
"There is someone who can get close to him, right? Kris Iradler. We didn’t make him the ruler of the dark side of the city of Herria for nothing. He pretends to be a talented student who doesn’t arouse suspicion, only pretending to be the son of a baron and a fairly neutral personality," the blue-eyed woman replied. frёewebnoѵēl.com
"Impossible," replied the red-eyed man, and then "It will be immediately recognised. Amber’s stupidity has only just been exposed, and every one of the spies within the academy knows each other. We are sure that Amber will blurt out at least some of the intelligence."
The eyes in the dark room seemed to start moving constantly at the red-eyed man’s words. Each person was thinking about what they should do.
It didn’t take long for a solution to be found.
"There are many students who have just joined the academy. Considering that young Atlas is attracting all the attention, it won’t take long to send Kris to the new students and get them on our side," the three-eyed man said.
His words immediately struck each of them as an incredibly logical and good plan.
The entire academy would be under direct scrutiny, and it might even be starting right now with the capture of Amber.
Still, they would have to recognise a period for everything to be inspected. The academy was big. The number of students exceeding five thousand could not be inspected that quickly.
Cordelia and the five most powerful wizards of the academy, working under him, would supervise even the other professors. Maybe it would be impossible to find anything, but even that would only give the devil worshippers time to act.
"Alright, this is something we need to do. Who wants to take on this task?" asked the red-eyed man.
The one with the three green eyes immediately stood up and left the room, saying, "Leave it to me."
On the other side, time seemed to pass very quickly. Atlas had already slept and woken up until the next day, and on top of that, he had missed each of his morning and afternoon classes.
He had one class in the evening.
He wanted to take an alchemy class because of his curiosity about alchemy and the fact that he had created formulas that were unknown and had not even been created yet.
Maybe this time he could also succeed in becoming a superior alchemist and thus support those he wanted to support in the future, at the worst point of the war that he was sure to happen.
With these thoughts in mind, he left his room and, after a short walk of perhaps ten minutes, entered one of the towers on the way to the northern part of the academy.
After climbing the stairs one by one, he saw the wooden doors made of oak and opened one of the doors and entered.
Unlike other subjects, alchemy was a very unpopular subject. It seemed lucky to have even twenty students in each class. Nevertheless, Cordelia knew the value of alchemy in warfare and had not closed down the alchemy department.
This was enough to understand why there were so few students in the alchemy class, which was naturally considered even harder to learn than aura.
The tens of thousands of herbs that had to be learnt, the styles of use, the styles and temperatures of fire, the ways of boiling, and many more were already discrediting alchemy, which already seemed unnecessary to most races and perhaps even 99% of the world.
At least Atlas had managed to see sixteen students in the class.
Among these students, Atlas saw a girl, a girl he had not seen for a long time and an old friend.
She had jet black hair, grey eyes and was beautiful, incredibly beautiful. This girl’s name was Irene Luis. Irene herself was a half-elf, a race common in the Epsilon Empire, and on top of that she was the next head of the house of Luis Marquess.
On top of that, Irene was one of the greatest alchemists Atlas had ever known. Irene was such an excellent alchemist that she was nicknamed ’Alchemist of Eternal War’.
It would be correct to say that Irene was one of the few people Atlas wanted to meet and be friends with again.
Atlas entered the classroom with small steps, and after a short time, he moved to one of the empty seats. This class seemed to be more comfortable than he thought.
The fact that the lecture was on alchemical theories and theorems was something that allowed the students to listen to the lecture comfortably. Sometimes
Atlas had specially chosen a seat slightly away from Irene and sat down.
After almost fifteen minutes, the alchemy professor finally came into the classroom and then took the lectern and introduced himself:
"Good evening, my dears. My name is Rosaria, but you can call me Rose. I am the alchemy lecturer for the first-year and fourth-year students in this academy, and I see that more students than I expected attended the lecture. This is very good news for me, I am sure we will have a lot of fun."
Rosaria smiled when she said these words and then turned towards the class board and started to write a few things.
"What we are going to learn today is not very difficult. To be honest, 70% of the students drop out of this course before the semester even starts. I must say that the course is really difficult. However, if you continue to take this course, I will teach you everything I know, you can be sure," the professor suddenly said.
With that, he coughed a little and said, "What we are going to learn today is the types of fire. The use and effects of fire in alchemy, and what kind of medicine, potions or even alchemy you can make. Are any of you predisposed to the fire element?"
Atlas slowly raised his hand at that moment, and Professor Rosaria’s expression changed instantly:
"Oh my, I didn’t even realise that Mr Atlas was in my class, you are in the very corner of the classroom! Please come in." Rosaria said and immediately invited Atlas to join her.
"How can I help you, professor?" Atlas asked as he stood up from where he was and stood on the classroom dais.
"I want you to light the bottom of this cauldron for me, I want a flame that reaches exactly 320 degrees Celsius," Rosaria replied.
Atlas approached the cauldron to do as he was told and opened the lid of the cauldron, and gathered his mana into his hand. He had a little difficulty because the temperature Professor Rosaria had given him was very specific, but in just ten seconds, he had deposited a flame reaching 320 degrees into the cauldron.
"Excellent!" said Rosaria, and then she turned to the class and began to speak:
"We call this the beginning of the operation. This is the method that naturally helps us to produce the pills. There are different types of alchemy and different ways of producing medicines, pills and liquids, and different cauldrons. Each of these cauldrons works with different types of fire, chemical assemblies, and even different temperatures, as Atlas did."
"What I will teach you today is quite simple, but rest assured that if you fight in the future - and there will be a time when you will - there will be a potion that will save your life. A potion of regeneration."
Atlas was frankly surprised to hear the name of this potion.
Although the regeneration potion was not very difficult to make, it was still one of the most difficult potions for someone who had just started learning. There was certainly no one who could argue against it.
The potion itself was one of the potions that had to be made in the alchemists’ guild in the exam for the next level. There is both a pill and a liquid form of this potion, and it seems that Professor Rosaria had chosen to make the pill form of the potion to force the students.
The fact that Atlas was here meant that he would most likely be given this task.
He never thought he would make pills out of nowhere.
