Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 65: That Is How You Do It
Chapter 65: That Is How You Do It
The effects of the spell spreading one after the other were almost deafening. The spell was so powerful that the seven magic ring wizards had to create a vast mana shield as soon as the spell began to spread.
This spell cast by these six wizards was equal to the level spells of an eight-ringed wizard.
This was a massive difference in power between the mages and their ranks.
With each second that passed, the magic on the barrier became more unstable and more rapid attacks were being unleashed. The sound of screams, the sound of severed body parts being thrown around, and much more could be seen by everyone.
The unstable magic began to tremble more and more, and then came the moment Atlas had been waiting for.
The great mass of light instantly spread around. The light also passed through the mana shield around Atlas, and the instability of the spell began to shake even the mana shield itself.
The sounds around had stopped. No one was making a sound, they couldn’t. Even those inside the mana shield could not speak. It was as if the laws of sound, even the vocal cords themselves, had paused.
Heartbeats could not be heard, and what was happening could not be recognised by the ones on the outside.
This was a spell that could affect a small environment, but it was the maximum power that a sorcerer with seven rings could cast. This magic could not exist just by having seven rings. At least a sorcerer had to have the blessing of Apollo.
In Atlas’ group, there were three people who had received the blessing of a god or goddess. Emperor Aether seemed to want Atlas, whom he regarded as his nephew, to succeed.
However, after fifteen seconds, the light was suddenly extinguished, leaving a scene that was neither apocalyptic nor heavenly.
Every building that had been struck by the light disappeared, and the body parts that had been scattered only a few seconds before vanished.
The chains of light, flame and lightning emanating from the spell coalesced and exploded, creating an effect that destabilised the spell.
There were no devil worshippers left.
Perhaps more than a thousand or even two thousand devil worshippers had disappeared from the centre in just fifteen seconds.
The mages with seven magic rings were far too powerful for such a place.
Nevertheless, the summoners inside the existing barrier were still very much alive. The barrier was cracked but not broken into pieces. The person who made this barrier must have been an excellent master of seals.
Atlas, on the other hand, took action within seconds and started to load as many spells as he could on his holy sword, as many spells as he could load on his holy sword, in order to deal the last blow to the barrier.
One after another, he was calling out abilities and draining his own magic power to the bottom.
"Fire Aspect!"
"Eternal Aspect!"
"Air Doom!"
"Fire Split!"
He got closer and closer to the barrier with his spells one after the other, and ignoring the summoners who turned to him with fear, he immediately shouted "Starry Night!!!" and then a huge amount of aura began to overflow from his body.
This was the most broken ability he had. That’s why he wanted to bring his aura to the second level before doing this raid.
When he used the ability, his second-level aura instantly jumped to the third level, and every spell he charged his holy sword with was covered with a blood-red aura and a pure white aura.
This was the aura level at which an aura warrior could mould his aura.
"Goddess’s Fury!" Atlas suddenly shouted. He really had a lot of nerves and adrenaline coming out of his body.
The moment he used the ability, his aura became much stronger and louder, and Atlas appeared in front of the cracked barrier.
At that very moment, without thinking twice, Atlas swung the holy sword in his hand towards the barrier.
At that moment, all the spells in his sword were released outward. Atlas’s holy sword hit the barrier exactly, and his swing split the barrier in half, sideways:
"CRASH!!!"
The barrier was instantly shattered into pieces, and at that moment, dozens of incredibly fast spells began to pass to the left and right of Atlas.
Each spell was incredibly powerful, and within seconds, Atlas realised that the spells passing by him were capable of killing him instantly.
Five of the six summoners around the rune were instantly shot in the torso and head and died on the spot. At that moment, a loud sound rose from the battlefield:
"URUAAAAGGHHHHHHH!!!"
The demon on the battlefield screamed in pain. The demon, already wounded by the attacks of the dwarf Duke Bhagholir’s army, had also lost almost all of the demonic mana given to him. He was really not much different from the imp, one of the top monsters currently living on Earth.
Atlas instantly lunged forward and plunged the holy sword in his hand directly into the heart of the last summoner around the rune.
The anger and bloodlust on Atlas’ face were clear, yet hope, excitement and joy overcame the bloodlust.
Those who had summoned the demon were dead and gone.
The spell would now be broken.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!" came a shout from the centre of the battlefield.
"NOT NOW!!!" came another shout.
The thousands of summoned monsters on the battlefield turned to dust and began to disappear.
Atlas instantly, without waiting a second, said "Fire Stream," and then burned the rune drawn with monster blood on the ground and the bodies of the summoners on top of it.
Then he turned around and looked at the members of his unit and instantly said, "We did it."
With these words of Atlas, the happiness and hope on the faces of the group members became quite evident. It was incredible that each of them was still alive, and doing it in the lair of their enemies.
There was no need to explain how far Atlas’ fame would spread.
