Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 77: Training With Cordelia
Chapter 77: Training With Cordelia
When Atlas returned to the academy, he went about his life as if nothing had happened. Yes, things had changed, there was no way that couldn’t have happened, but at least most people still treated him the way he was.
With the help of the triplet sisters, Atlas had managed to gather around him again the people he had known in his previous life at this academy and who had saved many lives, even if they were not very good heroes...his friends.
This was very good news. They were people he had known in his previous life and who had at least agreed to be on the side of humanity. Atlas could turn them around, he would be able to accomplish and expand things.
Atlas was now on his way out of alchemy class, sitting in the classroom with Irene.
"You’ve been through so much. I keep hearing your stories." Irene said, a smile on her face, but deep in her heart there was great concern.
"Some things happened..." said Atlas, obviously not wanting to tell everything.
"It’s abnormal that you’re just saying something. You know I’m going to be a Marquess even if I don’t look it, right? It didn’t take me long to hear you were a duke," Irene replied, smiling brightly.
"So...Uncle has made a serious decision for the future. With so many people around me and gaining serious support, it was the best option. Until I turn 18, I will not have the rank of Duke, at least on paper. I am under the supervision of Lady Cassandra," Atlas replied.
Irene leaned back against the comfortable and large seat in the alchemy classroom and then yawned, "Unbelievable...What I wouldn’t give to meet one of the Sages...Especially Lady Bellatrix. She is an excellent woman in both alchemy and seals."
Atlas smiled and then said, "Well, it’s not impossible to do that. I could ask Lady Cordelia. It won’t happen now, but in the future, if Lady Bellatrix comes here, it might be possible," Atlas replied.
Irene was about to respond to these words with happiness when suddenly a voice came from the classroom door:
"It’s evening time, but you’re lazing around here, Atlas. Why didn’t you come to training?"
This voice belonged to none other than Cordelia.
Irene immediately stood up and bowed her head in respect. Atlas looked at Cordelia and said, "I was going to come soon, you want me to come as quickly as possible, earlier than the time we talked about all the time, professor, if it were up to me, I’d come at class time."
Immediately after that, he turned to Irene next to him and said playfully, "Calm down, she’s not as bad-hearted as the rumours say."
"Haha, very funny..." Cordelia said, and then took a few steps towards the duo and approached Irene.
"Ballatrix is coming to the academy tonight, along with the other Sages. Atlas has a class with me, so you can join if you wish and wait for the others, young lady," Cordelia added.
Irene’s eyes lit up as she heard those words. She looked from Atlas to Cordelia and nodded.
"Let’s go then," Cordelia said, grabbing Atlas by the collar and lifting him from his seat.
"It’s all my fault, please let go," Atlas said, literally swept off his feet. It was a funny sight that a woman without a single muscle was able to lift him.
The trio soon entered a special area Cordelia had created. It looked like another training ground.
Cordelia threw an iron sword at Atlas and then said, "Today we’re going to work on hyper-levelling your attack patterns. You are free to use magic and aura, but it should only be for acceleration."
Immediately afterwards Cordelia picked up a sword and placed Irene in their viewing area away from them and waited to start the lesson.
"We’re going to keep your strength and stamina constant so you can get up to speed, and we’re going to work on strengthening your attack patterns," Cordelia added.
Atlas nodded and then took a deep breath.
Immediately after that, he leapt forward and covered his legs with his aura as he leapt forward. It would be correct to say that his speed increased at a fairly high level.
"Night’s Step," he muttered in a low voice, and each step he took began to accelerate him even more.
At that moment, Atlas arrived in front of Cordelia, and the duel had begun to put into use what he had learnt from Perseus.
Atlas controlled his sword like a tamer controlling a snake with his hand, coming from the right but instantly moving upwards.
Cordelia was surprised when she noticed this sudden change of attack and couldn’t help saying ’Well done!’.
"Ching!"
But of course Cordelia met Atlas’ attack perfectly, and the impact of that defence pushed Atlas back a few steps.
"My lady, is it possible for me to use an ability that will make my sword calmer?" asked Atlas, and at the same time, he unleashed another attack towards Cordelia.
"Ching!"
Cordelia met the attack, then replied, "You can do anything as long as you don’t use attack spells and aura variants."
"Sword of Tranquillity," Atlas said as soon as he heard that and realised that every ache in his body, the feeling of worry in his heart, and even his breathing had been regulated.
On top of that, the power of his abilities had increased.
Even if he didn’t know it, his Night’s Step ability had improved by 20%. Atlas’s positive karma was even more gigantic than he had thought. If his karma was ever displayed, even the gods and goddesses would have to bow their heads in respect.
Atlas took a deep breath and used the sword in his hand to lunge towards Cordelia with a succession of different piercing variations, his speed increasing every second thanks to his Night’s Step ability.
Each time his ability ran out, he used it again and again, trying not to give Cordelia a chance to defend.
However, this was very, very difficult....Cordelia hadn’t even started to counterattack.
