Chapter 95: Explain.

Atlas took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he straightened his form and sheathed his sword.

He was aware of the energy drain and expansion in his body. He could feel that he could hear sounds even hundreds of metres away, and he could easily notice that even the capacity of his brain had increased.

At this level, an aura student evolved into an aura warrior.

He had become a Third-Grade aura warrior.

Immediately after relieving himself, he opened his eyes and turned to look at the seven Sages, who were staring at him with bewildered eyes.

Even Cordelia herself was incredibly astonished. Even in the vast history that this ancient woman had seen, there were very few people who could train at such a speed. It was certainly a mystery...and that mystery was how skilful Atlas was.

"Unbelievable...." Cassandra couldn’t help but mutter. It really was incredible.

Just a few months ago, Atlas had been at a power level that could be considered almost at the beginning of a level two aura, and now, after a short period, he had managed to obtain a level three aura.

Cordelia dodged the stares of all the Sages, then approached Atlas and patted him on the head.

"I can’t tell you how proud I am of you," said Cordelia, the Sage of Eternity.

Atlas smiled as if he was finally happy, and then nodded his head and replied, "Thank you, Professor."

As soon as Atlas spoke, all the Sages surrounded him at once. None of them could comprehend how this young man could have done such a thing, nor was it likely that they could.

It was obvious that Atlas did not possess a divine body, or one of those golden physics that only incredibly special aura users possess.

To put it bluntly, in the eyes of both an aura user and high mages like the Sages, Atlas’s body seemed to have been created for magic itself.

Even if he could only use one power, his potential should have continued to increase as he chose the spell. In their minds, this was something that had happened in Atlas’ previous life.

Constantly feeling that he was embarrassing himself and his sister, it was only in the middle of his second year that Atlas had become an advanced student at the academy and had even been granted the right to stay in the mid-tier rooms.

It was one of the basic capacities of a body born for magic, and Atlas had such a body in the eyes of every Sage.

So the fact that he was able to train his aura from the second to the third level in just three months and that he was able to pass through those doors, which were incredible to pass through, was simply incredible.

Of course, if Atlas himself hadn’t been helped by the likes of Ares and hadn’t entered the White Spring, there really would have been no way for him to do this. The fact that he was able to increase even a quarter of his aura in those three months would have been enough for him.

That’s why it was impossible to believe in the eyes of the Sages and those who were watching what was happening around them.

However, those who only glanced at him once could see that deadly look in his eyes, the pupils that were engraved with his aura.

This brought a question to each of their minds:

[What kind of foundation would the aura arts of someone who had already saved so many people have in the future?]

That was why each of them tried to recall in their minds the aura attack that had gone out when Atlas had released his aura.

Two different colours, blood red and jet black.

The fact that someone could use a two-coloured aura without being an aura master would have already demonstrated the potential of that person, but this was incredible nonetheless.

No one was sure about the exact effects of those colours but they were interesting.

All the Sages were able to realise that the fourth of Atlas’ magic rings had formed. Cordelia had already seen it when she had visited Atlas. It had allowed them to see the huge chunk of his potential.

In just half a year. After all the actions he had taken, and all the obstacles he had overcome after he started to train himself with magic and aura, he had managed to become a Fourth-Grade mage and a Third-Grade aura warrior.

The next step would be for him to obtain the rank of Master Magician as a Sixth-Grade mage, or the rank of Aura Master as a Fifth-Grade aura user.

"You’ve kept the first part of your promise and you’re one magic ring away from reaching the other...Whoever it is you want to save must be more important than I ever imagined," Cordelia said suddenly.

Atlas shook his head, then smiled thinly and replied, "Yes, my lady, indeed it is."

At that moment, Atlas was swept off his feet. Talon lifted him into the air with both hands and shouted, "GOOD SON!!!"

The trio was aware of the deal Atlas had made with Cordelia and the others.

Atlas had a strange smile with the excitement of the moment. It would even be fair to say that his face was red from being lifted like a small child.

Nevertheless, the fact that he was receiving such support was of serious importance in his eyes. It was not like being a narcissist. It was just the effect of being valued on the human mind.

"Thank you, sir..." Atlas said with a smile.

Atlas was touched on the shoulder by Cordelia as he was put back on the floor, and in the next second, he found himself in Cordelia’s room with six other Sages.

Cordelia gently seated him in an armchair, then handed him a cup of tea and sat down across from him.

"So explain, how did you do it?" Cordelia questioned.

Atlas didn’t seem to understand this question. He shook his head as if he didn’t understand and then asked, "Excuse me?"

Cordelia rolled her eyes to the right and then said, "I’m curious how he did it. I’m curious how he was able to go from a level two to a level three aura in just three months or so."

Atlas had some explaining to do.

Focusing on Cordelia’s eyes as she sat across from him, Atlas was planning to come up with a frivolous excuse at first.

Only at that moment, he smiled as if he had an answer he could say and then replied, "I had an epiphany, a direct enlightenment, my lady."

There was no way Cordelia could believe such a lie.

Still, Cordelia pretended to believe the lie by asking, "Hmm? What kind of enlightenment?" she asked.

Atlas continued to smile, seriously thinking that he was fooling the ancient woman in front of him, and began to explain in a serious, possibly real way:

"I dreamt of a man who was one of those people who constantly targeted and attacked the same place, drawing his aura with each attack as if he were drawing from an infinite storehouse of aura, without worrying about his aura diminishing."

"To put it bluntly, he was a rather strange person. He had a muscular body, an angry stare, and the type that could beat the shit out of me at any moment. He was also wearing black armour. He thought me."

Atlas was trying to talk about Ares himself with these words. In other words, he was changing some points a little and even trying to skip some of those points directly.

Cordelia couldn’t see a god or goddess with her own eyes. It was precisely these words that Atlas had put forward.

"Unbelievable...At your age and experiencing this degree of enlightenment...It’s very rare. I’ve never met anyone who had an epiphany about the aura," Cain suddenly complained.

He was very right in what he said. Enlightenment was not like learning a technique. Enlightenment was something that was said about the magic rings around one’s magic heart having the possibility of instantaneous development, expanding and increasing the mana formation in the body.

The aura was not like the rings around the heart. Each part of it was scattered throughout the body and enhanced the body. On top of that, this power was sometimes hidden directly inside the heart. A normal person with only partially proper training would not be able to do such a thing.

The only place to store Aura was in the body itself, and of course, no one had such a body.

It was a blatant lie, but the funny thing was that even Cordelia thought she should stop being suspicious. The important thing was that the little bit of a student whose life she thought could be in danger at any moment was getting stronger.

That was why she exhaled loudly and then set her teacup down on the table as Cordelia spoke while the other six Sages watched:

"So, are you ready for the Arena exam in two days...that thing in the Coliseum? How far do you think you’ll get?’"

Atlas smiled when he heard this question, a look of concern on his face, for this test that Cordelia and the other six Sages had created together was based entirely on personal choice.

He just had to answer honestly:

"I will continue until I am on my deathbed."
