Apocalypse Circular-Chapter 463: Draw the Sword for a Cut, Perfect and Flawless.
Lu Luo’s fingers, enduring the pressure that threatened to tear his flesh, broke free from the suppression of the black fog.
His muscles clung to the bone, a deeply unsettling sight.
However, Lu Luo paid little heed to such pain the moment his fingers touched the Ash Messenger.
The solidified metal of the Ash Messenger instantly liquefied, the molten iron spreading along Lu Luo’s fingers toward the rest of his body.
The Ash Messenger was utterly different from those wandering Sequence particles; it was not influenced by Sequence Power.
And its scorching heat was the perfect nemesis for the black fog.
The molten, lava-like iron wrapped around Lu Luo’s arm, flowing toward other parts of his body, dispersing all the black fog as it advanced.
Seeing this, a flicker of excitement flashed in Lu Luo’s eyes.
It wouldn’t be long before he could return to normal, and once he regained his freedom, then...
"You’ve regained your freedom, so what?"
Lu Luo was slightly stunned; the orb of light had already floated before his face.
Although it was a brilliant white, radiating a luminous aura, as it drew closer, Lu Luo could distinctly feel an aura belonging to the Destroyer.
"It really is you! This black fog..."
"Lu Luo, you know far too little," the orb of light said, its voice resonating. "I truly wonder when a self-important, presumptuous fellow like you will finally achieve your Awakening."
"What do you mean?" Lu Luo was puzzled. What was this entity getting at with these words at this time? Was it trying to confuse his thoughts?
"Perish!"
"What?"
The orb suddenly extended a thread, which shot toward Lu Luo at extreme speed.
But Lu Luo was already prepared. The Ash Messenger, which had been in a molten state, had instantly solidified into a sword. With a light swing, he slashed at the approaching thread.
"I won’t just sit here and wait for death."
Just when Lu Luo thought he was about to turn defeat into victory and regain control of the situation...
The Ash Messenger, which he had used to strike the thread, broke!
"What?"
The nearly indestructible Ash Messenger was sliced in two by the white thread.
He found this outcome impossible to accept, even to imagine.
How is this possible?
"I lost my body, my name, and my will, but I was granted the name of the Destroyer. Lu Luo, do you know what a Destroyer is? It is one who obliterates everything! Be it your weapons, Sequence, or even your body and spirit—in my presence, all will be annihilated in an instant. That is the power of the Destroyer, understand?"
Lu Luo narrowed his eyes slightly but did not respond.
He didn’t believe a word the Destroyer said. If the other party was truly powerful enough to destroy him with a mere thought, there would have been no need for this elaborate ruse to bring him here.
Really that amazing, huh? Lu Luo feigned astonishment.
However, this exaggerated attitude seemed to displease the Destroyer; it wasn’t the reaction it desired.
"Forget it, Lu Luo. After all, you’re just a slave. A slave who cannot grasp their own oppression will never be able to rebel. Give me everything you have, and let me take your place, to do all that you should do."
The Destroyer continued to speak in ways Lu Luo didn’t quite understand, but this time, it didn’t linger.
Threads of light wound around Lu Luo’s body. As the threads entered, the black fog re-enveloped him, quickly pulling him into a state of black glow.
But Lu Luo had no intention of submitting like this; he continued to resist, even though he could no longer use any Sequence Power.
There were two things he could still control.
One was the Unbeliever, not belonging to the Doomsday Disc.
The second was the remnants of the Ash Messenger, still hovering near his hand.
These two things seemed to be his only chance.
Lu Luo’s body faintly emitted a transparent color, seemingly the Unbeliever’s final struggle.
And the severed Ash Messenger also tenaciously reformed, entwining around Lu Luo’s body, merging once more with the black fog and white light.
Lu Luo’s eyes remained fixed on the orb of light. Within the Doomsday Disc’s domain, he had always been the controller.
The entity could suppress and manipulate all other Sequences, but it could never control the Disc.
Therefore... "If you want it so much, then come and get it!"
The clash between the orb of light and Lu Luo’s consciousness occurred once more. The sensation of an invasive will re-emerged, and with the descent of overwhelming pressure, Lu Luo was instantly unable to bear it.
But this time he fared much better than before, at least not losing his will to resist immediately.
However, possessing the will to resist didn’t mean Lu Luo *could* resist.
The orb continually extended white filaments, each one piercing into Lu Luo’s body.
As Lu Luo was filled with doubt and uncertainty, he suddenly felt something flowing from him toward the Destroyer orb through the white threads.
The Devourer’s power?
He thought the other was going to use the Devourer’s power to completely absorb and devour him. This realization caused a flicker of panic. In the past, he was the one who devoured other Exotic Species; now, unexpectedly, he was about to be devoured by someone else.
"Devourer? There are elements of that, I suppose, but that’s not the most important part. Pure devouring is too crude. Rather than devouring, I prefer the power of the Fusioner. Because the power of the Fusioner can be reconstructed according to my will."
Reconstructed according to your will? Before Lu Luo could comprehend the meaning of these words, his eyes suddenly widened. The orb before him had slowly begun to take shape, gradually morphing into a human form—the same height and build as Lu Luo.
Once the general outline was complete, the details followed. Hair, eyes, eyebrows, and even body hair and scars began to be gradually replicated.
For the first time, Lu Luo felt fear. He could accept encountering a formidable enemy, accept being defeated. But he could not accept this act of copying him. But what if he couldn’t accept it? Even now, he had no means of resisting or stopping it.
"Fear? Fear is the best sustenance for all Exotic Species, something many don’t realize, Lu Luo. Fear can make Exotic Species stronger and more excited. I am also an Exotic Species, so I am no exception! HEH HEH HEH HEH!"
Apart from the dazzling white light emanating from its entire body, the person before Lu Luo was almost identical to him.
Lu Luo, looking at the Destroyer opposite him, finally understood. It was his pheromones; all his biological information was being drawn away by the Destroyer.
"You want to copy me? Replace me?"
"Yes. Are you worried about your women? Such a shallow and naive creature. Despite possessing the most outstanding talent and conditions, you’ve wasted so much time on the meaningless act of mating with females. Lu Luo, you truly are a disappointment!"
Lu Luo couldn’t be bothered to listen to the Destroyer’s words. Every person more powerful than him had their own set of theories. They all believed their theories were supreme, filled with glory. But they never considered if others might think the same way. He, Lu Luo, just wanted to marry several wives and have a bunch of children. What was wrong with that? Nothing at all.
"So, what exactly are you planning to do?"
"What do you think?" The Destroyer didn’t immediately answer.
Its body began to materialize further; it seemed the replication was nearing completion.
It slightly raised its head, flexing its new body. Then it frowned, as if unsatisfied with certain aspects of Lu Luo’s physical condition. Especially Lu Luo’s manhood; it was so large, so long, occupying too much space and offering no combat advantage. During a siege, such a large appendage could even become a weakness.
So, after a brief contemplation, the Destroyer suddenly formed its hand into a blade and, to Lu Luo’s horror, chopped off its own member!
Holy shit! What is this thing doing? How can it be so ruthless? Lu Luo was shocked, not quite understanding the Destroyer’s actions. It had just replicated my body, only to castrate itself? Was it practicing some kind of esoteric art? Or did the size of my member traumatize its nascent consciousness? That couldn’t be it!
"What do you mean by this? Why are you mutilating yourself like that?"
The Destroyer scoffed at Lu Luo’s question. "Mutilating myself by cutting this off? Feminine allure only distracts, hinders, and slows one’s progress toward strength. To succeed, it is essential to distance oneself from such things. This appendage is utterly meaningless to me. Not only does it offer no combat advantage, but it can also become a liability. By removing it, I will become stronger."
Lu Luo looked at the luminous Destroyer and, after a moment, finally said, "You’re a real nutcase."
Since the Destroyer had absorbed Lu Luo’s pheromones, it understood the term "nutcase."
It suddenly smiled at Lu Luo, tilting its head slightly, a hint of arrogance in its expression. "Lu Luo, you still don’t understand the meaning of your existence in this world, nor do you comprehend what you’re about to face. You’re always wasting time, spending it on those meaningless women. The Doomsday Disc should belong to someone capable, not someone like you. Since you’re so decadent, I can only take your place. Destruction is, in fact, a reboot."
What does that mean? Destroy everything, then create a new world? The Destroyer’s ambition seems quite grand, but what does that have to do with me? Must it use my body as the foundation? Or is there something special about my body?
Another point also puzzled Lu Luo: why hadn’t the Destroyer extracted his power yet? Is it unwilling, or unable?
"Why haven’t you absorbed my power? Do you look down on it?"
This question actually made the ever-arrogant Destroyer hesitate for a moment. In its human form, it was even less adept at hiding its emotions than Noah. That hesitation was so blatant, Lu Luo couldn’t miss it.
"What are you hesitating for? Did I hit the mark?" Is there something in my body that you can’t absorb?
"Finally getting smarter, are we? No matter. Once you die, your power will gradually dissipate."
The Destroyer actually admitted it! It seems there really is something inside my body that can restrain it. The Unbeliever, perhaps?
Previously, the activation of the Unbeliever had always been passive, with the Observer providing hints. But this time, there would be no hints from the Observer. Apart from the Unbeliever, all other Sequence Powers had been contaminated and suppressed by the Destroyer. So this time, he had to rely on his own power to activate the Unbeliever.
"I am Lu Luo, bearer of the Unbeliever! I have my own beliefs—faith in my own strength, faith in all that is real, faith in my will! Therefore, I am fearless! As the Unbeliever, the power of others cannot harm me! As the Unbeliever, the control of others cannot bind me! As the Unbeliever, the will of others cannot suppress me! The Unbeliever is invincible!"
As Lu Luo realized all of this, his fingers suddenly twitched.
Here it comes!
Lava fragments reformed into a sword in his hands.
If Sequence Power was completely suppressed, then it had to be technique and energy!
The Seventh Tier: the form in which Dust Devil manifested.
Once, Ludie had used Dust Devil to battle Nightmare Demon Lu Xiaotian, a fight recorded by many. The art of Dust Devil was etched into the minds of many. How powerful it was!
Lu Luo’s cultivation talent might genuinely be inferior to Ludie’s. Ludie, despite an environment of frustration, suppression, hostility, and scarce resources, had still managed to research and develop an ability like Dust Devil. But Lu Luo, standing on the shoulders of giants, could undoubtedly reach higher than Ludie.
Just like right now!
"Steam Form, Dust Devil!"
All the energy within Lu Luo’s body erupted violently, copious amounts of scorching steam filling every corner of the black sphere. This searing steam, which Lu Luo had even infused with the power of lava, was entirely different from the Dust Devil Ludie had once used.
When all the energy was compressed to its limit, Lu Luo finally moved.
"Die!"
BOOM!
Lu Luo’s sword tip struck the Destroyer’s forehead. His speed surpassed any he had achieved before. Even without the boost of Sequence Power, he was stronger than ever at this moment. Within the Dust Devil’s environment, his movements in this space were practically instantaneous.
When the sword tip connected with the Destroyer’s head, this powerful wielder of Sequences involuntarily stepped back a few paces.
It touched its forehead; indeed, Lu Luo’s strike had left a faint mark of light on its white skin.
"Injured?"
This was its first injury.
"So you can get hurt too," Lu Luo laughed.
Then, Lu Luo teleported again, but this time, the Destroyer wasn’t so easy to deal with. It casually reached out, grabbed Lu Luo mid-movement, and slammed him hard onto the ground.
Even though Lu Luo had now gained the power to injure the Destroyer, the disparity in their strengths was still insurmountable.
Lu Luo teleported away, not giving up. After a few more evasions, he charged at the Destroyer again. However, every time he got close, the Destroyer instantly caught him.
After a few attempts, Lu Luo realized the Destroyer was toying with him.
"Is toying with me fun?"
The Destroyer smirked. "Indeed, it’s quite amusing."
Lu Luo responded with a similar sneer. "You think I’m letting you toy with me for nothing?"
"Hmm?"
"When steam pressure and temperature surpass a certain threshold, some extremely dreadful things can happen. You’ve read my memories, so you should know about this, right?"
The Destroyer’s complexion suddenly changed. "Fusion? Those conditions are impossible to meet. And the rules of our two worlds are different. Even if you managed it, do you think you could succeed?"
Lu Luo continued to release steam. "By myself, certainly not. But you’re here, Mr. Destroyer!"
