Chapter 1062: Chapter 405: God’s Creation (Part 2)

Lin Xian opened the cockpit, and with Chen Sixuan, both clad in power armor, stepped onto the deepwater port. Under the fog, visibility was severely limited, no more than a dozen meters.

Under the radar and photoelectric scans of the power armor, the outlines of various objects in the fog emerged. The entire port platform was desolate, with dry, decaying corpses scattered all around.

What caught Lin Xian’s attention was that all the firearms were left untouched, including the supply trains and flying devices. Overturned carriages still held a large amount of leftover supplies.

"Has no one been to the harbor? This looks like it’s been at least two months," Lin Xian said, frowning.

"I asked Jiang Yun. Since the Star Abyss Movement started, many Doomsday Trains have stopped entering the oceanic tracks. After the battle at Dawn City, most have been heading towards the Dawn Center. It might be because the Phoenix Society hasn’t used this track, so the ocean track wasn’t maintained, and those teams dare not head out to sea," Chen Sixuan said.

Lin Xian nodded. Indeed, a typical Doomsday Train Group would choose the safer land route. If Lin Xian didn’t have the Sky Dome Train at his disposal, he wouldn’t easily venture into the Pacific Ocean.

After observing the surroundings, Lin Xian and Chen Sixuan headed towards the cargo platform’s supply warehouse. In their earpieces, KIKI’s voice came down from high above.

"Lin Xian, I surveyed from above. This place is entirely shrouded in sea fog, and seems long abandoned. Judging by the situation, an Abnormal Body has definitely been here."

"Be careful," Lin Xian warned cautiously, as his gaze swept over the enormous corpse of a flying winged creature that had crushed half a supply warehouse. "Protect Shi Zhi and watch the skies."

"I got it."

In carriage number 3 of the Infinity, Ding Junyi, engrossed in research, suddenly noticed the Blood Vine slightly twisting its roots, with each blood thorn seemingly emitting a red glow. She immediately walked over, activated her superpower, and felt the changes.

Her eyebrows furrowed, Ding Junyi quickly called Xiao Yuan.

"Xiao Yuan, look."

Xiao Yuan approached, finding the Blood Vine twisting its curled shoots in a certain direction at a speed visible to the naked eye, quickly reaching the edge of the cultivation chamber.

"Director Ding, it seems this Disaster Plant is probing in a certain direction."

"I see it too," Ding Junyi replied, immediately picking up the Blood Vine’s cultivation chamber and rotating it by the window. Sure enough, as she turned it, the Blood Vine started to slowly move its sprouts toward the new orientation, again adhering to the transparent chamber’s edge. The sprouts then began to grow rapidly, emitting a squeaking sound.

"Southeast direction, there might be..."

"Ah!"

Before Ding Junyi could finish her sentence, a scream erupted from Xiao Yuan. As Ding Junyi turned to look, she found Xiao Yuan covering her mouth, aghast, pointing towards the direction of the platform outside the train window. Both of their faces reflected a shock.

There, on the platform where the Infinity was docked, amidst the dense fog, a figure had appeared at some point, standing silently. The figure was humanoid yet extremely tall, at least three meters, its feet resembling reverse-bent hooves, its arms long and hanging. Most eerily, its head was a triangular open shape, resembling a flowering plant, blood-red within. That triangular head was motionlessly fixed on Ding Junyi’s direction, sending chills down one’s spine.

Whoosh!

In a moment, a golden flash cut through. Car door number 5 swung open, and Da Lou and Luo Yang, among others, rushed out one after another, as Xiao Yuan’s voice echoed. Qian Deli utilized Divine Speed to arrive first, his eyes immediately spotting the eerie humanoid creature, and without a word, he launched a powerful kick.

But as his fierce kick swept through, the monster seemed to twist in the air for a second, shrinking instantly, leaving behind a strange, winding afterimage as it darted into the depths of the fog.

"Where are you running to!?" Qian Deli found it odd. Despite the thing’s apparent lack of speed, his kick missed entirely. Seeing the afterimage fleeing, he instantly blinked forward to follow.

"Da Lou, Luo Yang, guard the vehicle. We’re going to take a look!"

By now, Lin Xian and Chen Sixuan had arrived, both moving at high speed. The power armor’s mobility mode activated, allowing rapid navigation through the port’s ruins. Simultaneously, overhead, KIKI and Shi Zhi swooped down together.

"Lin Xian, Shi Zhi says she didn’t sense any Spirit Vibration Value fluctuations from that thing!"

"Let’s try to figure out what it is," Lin Xian increased his speed. Having long battled Abnormal Bodies, he knew well not to underestimate any unusual movement. Failing to decisively resolve them could lead to major troubles later.

Ahead, the golden flash streaked past swiftly, and in the blink of an eye, Qian Deli stood still on the arm of the drill platform’s deepwater port, looking bewildered.

Lin Xian arrived with the others, turning to Qian Deli to ask, "What’s the matter?"

"It’s strange. It’s clearly not fast, yet I just couldn’t catch up..." Qian Deli bent over, his expression somewhat troubled.

"Viola!"

"I’m here."

"Have you locked onto the target’s position?"

Viola leaped down from above, landing lightly beside Lin Xian. She quickly scanned the entire deepwater port area with her scanner and soon responded, "Unable to lock on, no signs of life detected."

"How is that possible? So many of us clearly saw it," Chen Sixuan frowned slightly, eyes searching around, as everyone had lost sight of the target.

KIKI descended from the sky with Shi Zhi and spoke, taking out the Soul Swinging Value Detector.
