Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies-Chapter 306: New Members(2)
Before their banter could continue, Elena and Ethan appeared beside them.
"You really know how to live comfortably," General Kaiser remarked, quickly standing up and regaining his dignified posture.
"So this is how you manage to secure unlimited supplies."
"Well, yes. I was simply fortunate that my mother possessed this artifact," Elena replied smoothly, lying without hesitation.
She then began guiding them through the different sectors of Paradise. As they walked, Ethan calmly explained the rules they were bound to follow.
They were forbidden from revealing anything about the space or its abilities to outsiders. The consequences for breaking this rule would be severe.
"General," Ethan added meaningfully, his tone carrying a quiet warning, "trust me on this — you don’t want to experience being electrocuted."
He shot General Kaiser a pointed look, fully aware of how loose-lipped and impulsive the man could be when overly excited.
However, instead of taking the hint, General Kaiser simply waved a dismissive hand.
His eyes were still roaming around, filled with fascination at everything Paradise had to offer.
Ethan then explained that they only had a limited time inside the space — a five-hour limit — so they needed to use it wisely and fulfill the responsibilities assigned to their marks.
Elena had given them plow-shaped marks, assigning them to assist in the busiest sector — the Western Fertile Soil — where most of the crops and livestock were raised.
The two men quickly nodded, promising to carry out their tasks diligently.
Soon after, they arrived at the Eastern Lake sector, home to most of the aquatic livestock.
It also housed the salt production area, fish ponds, and the water refilling station.
"You can swim in the lake if you want to relax," Elena said. "Its water can heal minor injuries and relieve fatigue."
General Kaiser’s eyes instantly lit up. He hadn’t properly bathed in a long time. Seeing the clear, abundant water almost moved him to tears.
Ethan continued the tour, explaining the aquatic life thriving in the lake — including Dophie, a newly matured dolphin who had just given birth to four baby dolphins.
There were also rare fish species they had acquired and coral reefs they had carefully preserved before the apocalypse.
Brother Elias was deeply impressed by their foresight. The more he saw, the more he believed that Elena might truly be the key to restoring this broken world.
Meanwhile, General Kaiser’s attention shifted to the large water equipment stationed on the far side of the lake — submarines and various vessels prepared for emergencies.
"You really prepared thoroughly, gathering this kind of water transportation," he said in disbelief.
"It’s better to be prepared than regret it later," Elena replied calmly.
She didn’t mention it, but in her previous life, a massive tsunami had struck Military D, swallowing the land and turning it into sea.
This time, she made sure to secure transportation for both land and water disasters.
Afterward, they proceeded to the Northern Black Soil Sector, where the medicine and pharmacy facilities were located.
There stood a large pharmaceutical factory, a well-equipped experimental laboratory, and complete hospital equipment.
On one side, they saw Aunt Liza carefully conducting experiments on the grape spiritual fruit, attempting to refine it into a usable serum.
The moment Aunt Liza saw the abbot and General Kaiser, her eyes brightened with joy.
Knowing that new members had joined their team made her genuinely happy.
Moreover, these two had once been high-ranking officers of Military D, and she had worked alongside them before.
"General Kaiser, Brother Elias, it’s good to see you both here," Aunt Liza greeted them warmly.
"The feeling is mutual, niece," General Kaiser replied with a smile.
"So you’re the one managing the famous Paradise Medicine. That explains it. With your expertise, it’s no wonder it’s so effective."
Aunt Liza waved her hand modestly. "It’s not entirely my skill. The herbs grown here are incredibly potent. That’s the real reason the medicine works so well."
General Kaiser chuckled in response.
After a brief exchange, they left the sector and headed toward the Western Fertile Soil area— the place where they would soon begin working.
Upon arrival, they were greeted by a breathtaking sight. Rows of fruits and vegetables stretched as far as the eye could see. Vast golden rice fields swayed gently, ready for harvest.
Nearby, livestock roamed freely — chickens clucking, ducks waddling, cows grazing peacefully, and goats wandering about energetically.
At that moment, everything became clear to them. This was how Paradise Shop managed to maintain such a steady and abundant supply.
With livestock and staple crops of this scale, production could continue endlessly.
"Looks like I won’t be starving anytime soon," General Kaiser said with visible excitement, his eyes practically shining at the sight of the livestock he once only dreamed of eating.
"If you need more detailed instructions about this sector, just look for Grandpa Ford," Elena said.
"He’s the manager here and understands the daily operations better than I do."
She admitted this honestly.
Ever since she woke up and became busy caring for the triplets, she hadn’t had the time to inspect every sector personally.
Many changes and improvements had already taken place without her full supervision.
Still, seeing everything flourishing before her made her heart feel at ease.
Their next stop was the Southern Inventory Sector. Elena briefly explained the purpose of the area as they walked.
This sector is home for storing large scale goods.
"If you need to request supplies, just approach Butler Aki or Uncle Anthony. They’re currently managing this sector," she concluded.
The two men nodded in understanding. As they continued forward, a unique structure caught their attention in the distance — a massive dome-shaped building standing proudly within the sector.
"What’s that building?" General Kaiser asked curiously.
"That’s the Paradise Kids’ quarters," Elena replied calmly. "We adopted children to work with us."
Her words sounded blunt — almost harsh — but the deeper truth was far from exploitation.
The dome was enormous, large enough to contain a complete living space inside.
It had proper housing, a kitchen, unlimited clean water, stable food supplies, and even a grassy field where the children could play and relax.
Their tasks were simple and safe — mostly packing supplies that would later be distributed to the Paradise Shops.
Elena never overworked them. On the contrary, they were given nutritious meals to ensure proper growth and health.
The infants inside were carefully monitored and cared for by responsible adults.
Grandma Ford and Aunt Bennette personally oversaw their daily needs, making sure no child lacked warmth or attention.
"When they grow older and are capable of surviving outside," Elena continued, "we transfer them to the Paradise Information Guild. It’s currently managed by Xander."
There, the older children were trained and educated, preparing them for roles that suited their abilities — giving them purpose rather than abandoning them to the harshness of the ruined world.
After hearing the full explanation, General Kaiser and Brother Elias exchanged a glance before looking at Elena again — this time with unmistakable admiration.
What initially sounded questionable had revealed something far more profound.
She wasn’t exploiting abandoned children. She was giving them a future.
