Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy-Chapter 990: Gift
Chapter 990: Gift
Vale offered a casual shrug as he sheathed the Rift Blade back into his storage ring.
Though Jurhan’s interest was genuine, Vale had no intention of revealing too much.
He couldn’t let anyone know the truth behind how he acquired the weapon—through extraction. The Divine Extraction System was his secret, and only a few trusted were somewhat aware of it.
After all, not only could it pull essence, skills, energy, and items from nearly anything, but the items he extracted were also refined to frightening perfection.
Indeed, a blade like that... wasn’t forged; it was a processed item from the system.
"Let’s just say I picked it off the remains of another being..." Vale replied vaguely. "Not much of a story."
Jurhan didn’t push the issue. He smirked and accepted this explanation.
"Fair enough. Everyone has their secrets."
After a brief pause, Vale offered a respectful nod. "I appreciate the offer. I’ll consider it... but I won’t give an answer just yet."
Jurhan chuckled and stood up. "Honestly? I don’t think you’ll join. Not your style."
Vale’s eyes narrowed slightly, but there was no hostility in his gaze.
Jurhan didn’t seem offended. In fact, he looked amused...
"Still," the man added, lifting the crate he had brought and placing it carefully on Vale’s table, "This is still a gift. Not bribes. Just something to honor a potential ally."
’Oh... This guy knows how to build relationships.’ Vale mused.
Vale couldn’t hide his interest as he looked at the crate, then back at Jurhan. He appreciated this, a genuine goodwill with no strings attached.
"Thanks..." Vale said simply, this time with real sincerity.
If Jurhan would request something from him and if it wasn’t too difficult, he certainly wouldn’t mind doing that.
Jurhan grinned and gave a casual salute. "If you ever change your mind, just visit our headquarters in this city... You can easily find it near the Central Market Tower.
As he turned to leave, Vale called out once more. "Before you go... Is there any place in the city where I could purchase items from other realms? Things that don’t originate from this continent?"
Jurhan’s smirk widened. "You’re in luck. There’s a place called the Wyrmgate Bazaar. It’s built around the inner district. Our guild actually owns a part of it. Vendors there trade in goods sourced from realms we patrol—some legal, some not so much. But it’s neutral ground. No violence could happen there... Just trade."
"Wyrmgate Bazaar..." Vale echoed.
"If you want to find some high-level and restricted items, you might want to find someone or some vendors with a silver wyvern tattoo on their neck and show this thing..." Jurhan said as he tossed a wooden token.
"That’s your key to get into a real business..." And with that, Jurhan planned to leave already.
However, Vale felt bad just letting him leave after receiving the crate of gifts and token... He could tell that this scary-looking Immortal was actually sincere.
"Wait..." Vale said as he swiftly took something out from his Inventory.
Jurhan did as he was told and waited for Vale.
"Hmm... Do you have a use for this?" Vale said as he produced a vial filled with Immortal Essence.
This small vial that was filled with glowing blue liquid contained a total of 30 units of Immortal Essence.
Jurhan didn’t react at first because the vial initially blocked his senses, but soon, his eyes lit up.
"That’s Immortal Essence?!" Jurhan asked.
"You’re right."
Vale wasn’t sure at first, but thankfully, he could indeed transfer the extracted essence to a bottle.
"You can have it..." Vale said as he tossed the vial.
Jurhan seemed to have panicked for a moment, but he swiftly caught the vial. He almost scolded Vale, but he kept it to himself.
"I don’t think my gift and that token would be this much."
"It’s fine... Can you tell me how you will use this?" He asked.
"Hmm? This is difficult to obtain even for Immortal. If you’re rich, you can use this to enhance your Artifacts or even your Spells. However, most Immortals would consume this essence to heal their bodies. With this much in the vial, it can be used to regenerate even lost limbs about three times. There could be other uses as well, but that’s the most important matter."
"I see..." Vale nodded.
"Thank you... I will use this to enhance my gauntlet and surprise my squad... Hahaha..." Jurhan soon vanished, leaving Vale alone in his room.
"I guess that’s all the visitors for today..." Vale muttered as he looked at the crate.

Later in the afternoon, Vale left the Still Flame Inn.
The streets of Hymn City were still filled with life...
It didn’t take long for him to reach the inner district. Though the guards at the entrance eyed him curiously, none stopped him—not with the unmistakable aura of a Shadow Immortal clinging to his form.
Soon, he arrived before a semi-circular stone arch after following Jurhan’s instructions... As he passed through it, a Formation Array pulsed softly along its surface, and the ground beneath it pulsed like water.
A gate? Is it a pocket dimension or something? No... Is it teleportation?"
Vale was curious...
As he entered the place, he soon confirmed that he had just entered the Wyrmgate Bazaar.
Inside was a vast subterranean market lit by floating flames and glowing artifacts.
This place had a lot of people, but it was quite silent. Completely different from the streets outside.
Vale carefully used his Divine Sense to observe the surroundings.
He didn’t want to offend the Immortals here after all.
Just like that, he confirmed that stalls were indeed filled with unusual items that could possibly pass as otherworldly items...
Of course, the reason Vale was here was simple...
He wanted to splurge a bit with his new wealth and also find items he could extract! Indeed!
He had been careful not to attract attention by extracting items that he didn’t own. He didn’t want to get caught in unnecessary trouble after all.
Even if he really wanted to extract the barrier of the whole city for himself, it would just cause problems not just for him but for the residents of this city.
However, what was in front of him now were cheap items that could possibly contain a lot of resources he could extract!
