Ascension of The Unholy Immortal-Chapter 327: Martial Lord’s might
"It’s fortunate I didn’t attend," Liang muttered softly, his voice barely audible. "Not only did this man appear, but there was that woman beside Kai as well. And let’s not forget the Alliance and the Legion."
Sighing after a moment, he acknowledged, "The situation is growing increasingly intricate." A glimmer of curiosity flickered in his eyes as he added, "Curiously, the experts from the Devil Realm have yet to arrive."

"I wonder who they will dispatch," Liang mused aloud.

"Pavilion Head, how come you didn’t invite this seat to such an exceptional gathering?" The voice echoed through the venue, accompanied by such an aura that respect seemed to bow before it.
"Martial Lord, I wouldn’t have bothered you with such a matter," the Pavilion Head responded casually.
The entire banquet hall grew silent as the experts present turned their attention to the speaker. It was none other than Martial Rising Realm Lord, one of the strongest experts in the Domain.
"Do not be so modest, Pavilion Head," Martial Lord said with an amused chuckle. "Such an exceptional gathering would not be complete without my presence."
The Pavilion Head’s face fell, but he knew better than to argue with Martial Lord. After all, Martial Lord was a top-tier expert who could destroy the Heaven Fortune Pavilion with a mere flick of his wrist.
Despite the tension in the air, the Pavilion Head managed to maintain his composure. He knew that arguing with Martial Lord would only make matters worse.
"Since Martial Lord has graced us with his presence, we are truly honored," the Pavilion Head said, his voice laced with forced politeness. "Please, take a seat."
Martial Lord nodded and took a seat at the head of the table, his presence casting a shadow over the entire gathering. The experts present could not help but feel a sense of awe and trepidation in his presence.
"Now, let the banquet begin," Martial Lord said, his voice echoing through the grand garden.
The servants quickly served the food and drinks, but the atmosphere was far from festive. The experts present were too preoccupied with Martial Lord’s presence to truly enjoy themselves.
Martial Lord seemed to be aware of the tension in the air, and he took a sip of his wine before speaking again.
"I have heard that there is a very special item being auctioned off tonight," he said, his gaze sweeping over the crowd. "I am curious to see what it is."
The Pavilion Head’s heart skipped a beat. He had been hoping to keep the special item a secret until the very end of the auction, but it seemed that Martial Lord was already aware of it.
"Indeed, Martial Lord," the Pavilion Head said, mustering a semblance of confidence. "But let us not be hasty. The full details of this matter will be revealed at the auction later this evening."
"Very well," Martial Lord said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "I shall await your revelation with great interest."
The Pavilion Head nodded curtly, his face a mask of forced composure. He knew that he had to tread carefully in this matter. If he revealed too much, he risked losing control of the situation. But if he said too little, he would only further fuel Martial Lord’s curiosity.
As the Pavilion Head and Martial Lord engaged in their exchange, a ripple of disturbance spread through the void, distorting space and causing the very fabric of reality to tremble.
From the swirling vortex of the void, two figures emerged, their presence commanding immediate attention.
The first figure was a man of unparalleled beauty, his features chiseled with perfection. His golden hair flowed down his shoulders like a silken waterfall, contrasting sharply with his imperial purple robe, which exuded an aura of regal authority.
The other figure was equally handsome, but his allure was more subtle. His silver hair shimmered with an ethereal glow, and his elegant white robes seemed to dance in the gentle breeze.
Everyone was attracted by their presence which was accompanied by a surge of devil qi that permeated the entire garden banquet.
However, as quickly as it had appeared, the devil qi vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving no trace behind. It was as if it had never existed in the first place.
"Mo Di, that little kid has grown much." A booming laughter resonated through the vast hall.
Hearing his name uttered in such a casual tone, Mo Di’s expression darkened. Since his ascension to the throne of Devil Emperor, none had dared to address him with such familiarity.
His eyes narrowed as he traced the origin of the voice, and a wry smile etched itself on his face. "Senior Wu, what an unexpected pleasure to encounter you here."
The gathered crowd exchanged knowing glances at the Devil Emperor’s respectful response. The Martial Lord Wu was an undisputed powerhouse, while Mo Di had only recently advanced to the middle stage of the Void Return Realm.
The chasm between their realms was unfathomable.
Mo Di’s courtesy was not only prudent but also a recognition of reality.
The Martial Lord Wu smiled faintly, "I heard that the Devil Emperor was going to snatch my wife’s item so I have come to take a look."
Mo Di’s complexion turned green, "Martial Lord is joking. This humble junior would never harbor such audacious designs."
Martial Lord Wu chuckled, unperturbed by Mo Di’s formality. "Enough with these pleasantries, Mo Di. We are, after all, old acquaintances."
Mo Di shook his head with a wry smile. "Old acquaintances you say? I would hardly call our previous encounter as such. You nearly killed me on that day."
Martial Lord Wu erupted into a hearty laugh, dismissing Mo Di’s words. "Fie on you, my boy! Do not tell me that your spirit has grown so fragile now that you’re the Devil Emperor. Back in the days, you were brave enough to trade blows with me."
Mo Di sighed, knowing that Martial Lord was right. In the past, he had indeed been hot-headed and impulsive, always eager to test his strength against worthy opponents. However, after becoming the Devil Emperor, he bore the heavy responsibility of leading the entire Devil Realm on his shoulders. Needless bloodshed and reckless actions were no longer his style.
"I have changed, Martial Lord. The weight of my responsibilities has taught me caution." Mo Di responded, his tone much more mature and steady than before.
Martial Lord Wu snorted, "Too dull, you have become just like that codger Mo."
Mo Di simply smiled in response.
Martial Lord Wu shifted his gaze to the other figure who had emerged alongside Mo Di from the void. "As for you, kid, you still haven’t made that step?"
