Beast Taming: Invincible Breeder-Chapter 345 - 320: Little Hands Beyond Control
Fortunately, Li Cunxu was not here for the Holy Panda with the Justice Divine Heart talent.
He came for a Holy Panda with a different kind of talent.
This talent is equally rare, no less so than the Justice Divine Heart, but there’s no need to worry about that kind of Holy Panda being chosen, because they are not valued, in fact, no one chooses them.
With a plain white talent, how could they be valued?
Among the holy beasts, which are all individually exceptional, a holy beast with a plain white talent is rarer than a golden legendary talent.
As they ventured deeper into the bamboo forest, mist gradually spread throughout, foggy and shrouded, with nearby sounds of thuds that seemed like something huge crashing into the water.
Approaching the source of the sound, they caught sight of a towering bamboo mountain reaching into the clouds, with a waterfall cascading down, crashing into a vast lake below, sending up a misty spray. But that wasn’t the main source of mist covering the bamboo forest.
The main source of this mist was a panda hugging a bamboo in the center of the lake.
The panda was holding a thick piece of dragon bamboo on the lake, spinning it with such force that it occasionally hit the water’s surface, creating enormous waves, only to scatter them again with a swing of the bamboo.
Standing on the lakeshore, the Saint Egg King shouted towards the lake:
"Zhu Zhu, stop for a moment."
The next second, the hugging panda vanished from the center of the lake, reappearing with the massive dragon bamboo already smashing down on the shiny bald head of the Saint Egg King, embedding his entire body into the ground with only his head left above.
"Call me Xiong Bamboo, don’t randomly give me names."
The Saint Egg King crawled out of the ground, "Zhu Zhu, you really hit hard! Didn’t hold back at all, my head hurts from being knocked."
As the Saint Egg King called out "Zhu Zhu" again, Xiong Bamboo swung the dragon bamboo towards him once more, but this time, the Saint Egg King didn’t get buried in the ground; he caught the dragon bamboo with one hand.
"Heh heh, can’t hit me now!" The Saint Egg King grinned cheekily.
Knowing he couldn’t beat the Saint Egg King, Xiong Bamboo simply stopped trying.
"What’s your business here?"
The Saint Egg King said, "I’ve come to pick a panda cub."
"Follow me!"
Xiong Bamboo enlarged the dragon bamboo, turning it as big as a large ship, and everyone boarded the dragon bamboo.
Under Xiong Bamboo’s control, the dragon bamboo floated towards the waterfall, with Xiong Bamboo standing at the forefront, pulling out a water-parting stone. He lightly tapped it in front of the surging waterfall, and it parted, revealing a cave behind it.
The cave was winding and somewhat long.
Exiting the cave, they arrived in a beautifully refreshing bamboo grove.
Dappled light filtered through the swaying bamboo shadows, as thirteen black and white furry balls rolled down the hill, as if playing on a slide.
Once tired, the Holy Pandas began enjoying their meals, casually grabbing the tender bamboo shoots scattered throughout the grove to munch on.
Their voices were adorably soft and continuous.
This beautiful scenery, along with their cute sounds, was incredibly soothing.
The Saint Egg King had a fondness for round things, and the chubby Holy Pandas made him especially delighted. While Li Cunxu was still admiring them, the Saint Egg King had already started petting a Holy Panda.
The panda he held was very resistant, because he was interrupting its meal of bamboo shoots.
The resistance of the panda was no match for the King-like Saint Egg King, so unable to resist, it let out adorable but fierce cries.
The Saint Egg King quickly comforted it, "There, there, don’t cry. I have Celestial Fragrance Bamboo Shoots."
The aroma of bamboo shoots suddenly filled the grove. Smelling the scent, the other Holy Pandas all laid down their shoots and gathered towards the Saint Egg King.
Seeing so many panda cubs approaching him, the Saint Egg King beamed with joy.
He happily distributed the Celestial Fragrance Bamboo Shoots to the other Holy Pandas.
Having prepared so many Celestial Fragrance Bamboo Shoots in his bag, it was clear that the Saint Egg King had planned this all along.
One Holy Panda, drooling at the scent of the bamboo shoots, couldn’t resist taking a bite. After a couple of chews, it spat it out as if it had tasted something dreadful.
The Celestial Fragrance Bamboo Shoots smelled delightful, but tasted terrible.
Seeing this, the other Holy Pandas also took a bite, and then spat it out. Some feeling deceived threw them away, while others kept them.
After all, they really smelled great.
The fattest Holy Panda was a foodie, alternately munching on local tender bamboo shoots and sniffing the Celestial Fragrance Bamboo Shoots, enjoying itself immensely.
This led to the other Holy Pandas following suit, and soon, even those who had discarded the Celestial Fragrance Bamboo Shoots picked them back up and mimicked the others.
Apparently eating bamboo shoots this way made them taste even better.
Suddenly, a slender Holy Panda, drawn by the scent, poked its head out from the grove. Its appearance made all the other Holy Pandas wary, hiding their Celestial Fragrance Bamboo Shoots as if afraid they’d get stolen.
The slender Holy Panda felt the rejection from its companions, almost bursting into tears, but it knew it wasn’t their fault; it was its own. Holding back tears, the slender Holy Panda slowly backed away.
The Saint Egg King said, "What’s up with this little one? With my years of experience as an animal breeder, this little one’s got a psychological issue, teetering on the edge of depression. If not addressed, it might wither away."
"Its hands are sticky, always stealing from the other little pandas, so it’s ostracized," Xiong Bamboo sighed. "Actually, it’s not its fault; its talent, [Thieving Black Hand], makes it unconsciously take things from others. Once it grows older and gains control over its talent, it’ll be fine."
"What a poor little panda."
Jiang Lingyun thought to herself, looking around suddenly.
"Eh? Where’s the boss?"
Secretary Jin said, "He went after that little thieving panda."
Secretary Jin was puzzled. She didn’t understand why Li Cunxu would chase after that Holy Panda.
The Thieving Black Hand talent is quite mediocre, a plain white talent that lowers the presence of hands, making theft easier. At night, the reduction in presence doubles.
This talent is of very limited use in pet battles, helpful only in battles below the bronze level, where it can snatch an opponent’s items or weapons, but in silver-level battles and beyond, the Thieving Black Hand is useless, being quickly discovered.
The Holy Panda sat on a large moss-covered blue stone, with its feet dipped in a clear pond, where several silver-scaled fish swam between the rocks.
The Holy Panda hung its head low, tears falling, quietly wounded, staring at its fluffy little black hands, growing more frustrated, angrily pounding its thieving little black hands.
