Lu Ran found some reviews from the previous generations of beastmasters that used it on their familiars in the forums, and many of them didn’t get any returns on their investment.

However, there were some beastmasters that contracted primate-type familiars that had positive results.

Learning ability and comprehension were very abstract concepts. Some familiars with lower intelligence wouldn’t improve no matter what you gave them. Essentially, the smarter the familiar was to begin with, the better the results.

Additionally, it also had a miraculous effect on beastmasters learning beastmaster skills or general comprehension. Captain Doofus already had a strong learning ability, so Lu Ran intended to strengthen it further.

Unlike Sudden Death King, Captain Doofus followed the techniques skill tree. Of course, it also had the reckless skill tree. Using the Divine Deer Pendant to help Captain Doofus use Energy Compression techniques was Lu Ran's trump card.
