Chapter 651 -183 The Dichotomy of Rich and Poor_3
Link felt guilty for not having visited her in person yet.
With the permission from the academy, Link immediately set off for the Inter-Dimensional Teleportation Portal to return to the homeland.
On the way, Link notified Assad that he was planning to visit Christina’s daughter.
“Link, why didn’t you tell us in advance that you’re coming back?”
Assad initiated a video call, asking with confusion.
Link explained, “I didn’t know beforehand that I would have free time this weekend. It was a last-minute decision, I didn’t have time to arrange a schedule.”
...
“Okay, you come directly to the headquarters, I’ve brought Garona here.”
Assad didn’t press Link further about his sudden decision and said so.
“Okay, I’ll be there soon.”
Ending the call, Link found himself at a puzzling matter.
He didn’t even know whether it was Christina who named her daughter Garona, or it was Assad and Renee.
He and Renee had ample interaction time while co-managing the Potion Research Group led by Sage Selene and the collaboration with the Palo Sage army.
Mentally berating himself for his negligence, Link arrived at the headquarters of “Whatsoever Independent”.
“Hello boss!”
The greeting crew which Assad improvised was not large, but their saluting was quite enthusiastic.

“Hello everybody!”
Link waved in response, followed by some casual small talk with those who came to welcome his return under Assad’s company.
He briefly interacted with each person, making sure not to miss anyone. After assuring everybody got his attention, Link then let the members disperse and go about their tasks.
“Why the fuss? It’s so pretentious!”
On the way to the CEO’s office, Link couldn’t help but voice out, “I think we should abandon such formalities in the future.”
“Okay.”
Assad agreed straightforwardly.
He didn’t enjoy these hollow formalities either.
But without explicit guidance from Link, he had to bring them up a couple of times to gauge Link’s opinion on such matters.
“Where’s Garona?”
Link did not make the atmosphere awkward. After making the suggestion, he changed the subject as if nothing happened, “How does she behave? Any abnormal signs?”
After learning that Assad and Renee decided to adopt Christina’s daughter, Link shared the detailed information of Christina and her daughter with them, excluding any privacy-invading parts.
Assad was aware that Link’s mention of abnormal signs referred to the connection between Garona’s soul and her body and whether her behavior was affected by the Demon Snake Bloodline.
He immediately responded, “No, nothing. Everything’s fine.”
“Good, that’s what I wanted to hear.”
Link nodded in approval.
Upon arrival at the CEO’s office, the door was wide open.
As soon as Link entered, he saw Garona, who was crawling around on the floor non-stop.
Lifting her head, rolling over, sitting, crawling, standing, walking – the natural progression of a baby’s movement.
Garona was already adept at crawling. She could stand steadily and was not far from walking.
“Ah ya! Ah ya!”
Upon seeing Link, Garona quickly opened her mouth and started yelling.
A desire for closeness could be seen in her eyes.
“Huh?”
Link was puzzled.
Why would Garona, who has never seen him before, react like this?
He had occasionally heard from Jasmine that Assad and Renee found Garona to be too quiet and not lively enough.
They had tried many ways to draw out her playful nature.
“Ah ya! Ah ya! Ah ya!”
Garona had now turned around and quickly crawled toward Link.
She crawled to Link’s feet in no time.
“Ah ya! Ah ya!”
Yelling, Garona grabbed onto Link’s trouser leg with both hands, acting as if she wanted to be picked up.
“Come here!”
Link bent down and carefully picked up Garona.
“Ah ya!”
Garona immediately wrapped her arms around Link’s neck tightly. She laid her head over Link’s shoulder and a smile spread across her face.
“Oh my! I feel so sour!”
Watching this interaction, Assad’s voice was a bit sour, “I’ve been with Garona for so long, but it seems I’m no match for your first sight of her!”
“Ah ya! Ah ya!”
Link had not reacted yet, Assad’s words, however, seemed to be understood by Garona.
She Llifted her head, released one hand, and started waving at Assad.
It appeared as if she was saying, “Don’t be jealous, I still love you.”
Her greedy behavior of wanting both made Assad laugh.
What was Link doing at that moment?
He was carefully sensing the specifics of Garona’s soul and body, and had already made a shocking discovery.
To prevent any errors, Link checked several times.
“Link, what’s wrong?”
Assad felt Link’s spiritual and magic fluctuations and immediately asked, “Is there something wrong with Garona?”
“No problem.”
Link shook his head, “Good news!”
“What good news?”
Assad continued to ask.
“Did Renee mention to you the ‘Construction’ that I created?”
Instead of giving a direct answer, Link asked back.
“I have thoroughly investigated it.”
Assad responded cautiously.
Link smiled and revealed: “Garona was born suitable for ‘Construction’ implants and her integrated load capacity far surpasses others.”
“She can have it at such a young age?”
Assad exclaimed in surprise and then said with a serious tone, “Let’s not do that.”
