Beloved One of the Prestigious Household-Chapter 17: Baldness
The man in the back seat slowly opened his eyes and stopped twirling the Buddhist beads in his hand.
He glanced sideways at the castle, his eyes filled with tranquility as if nothing could disturb him.
The bodyguard quickly got out of the car, opened the back door, and carefully assisted him out, while saying, "Master Fujia, they are all in the first-floor living room."
Qin Fujia nodded gently, stepped out of the car with steady strides, and walked towards the castle.
Inside the first-floor living room of the castle...
The bodyguard entered in advance to announce, "Sir, Master Fujia has arrived."
Qin Haochen glanced at the time displayed on the clock.
Coincidentally, it was exactly "one hour later", just as the big white goose had mentioned, without any deviation.
Qin Sui’an was engrossed in watching cartoons, but her little ears caught the words spoken by the bodyguard.
She blinked her round eyes, shifted her gaze from the TV screen, and looked up at her daddy beside her, asking softly, "Daddy, has Eldest Brother arrived home?"
"Yes."
Since Ann had watched several episodes of the cartoon in a row, Qin Haochen bent down and asked gently, "Ann, can we continue watching cartoons tomorrow and go find Eldest Brother first? Is that all right?"
Qin Sui’an glanced at the television, although she felt a little reluctant to part with Peppa Pig in her heart, she still nodded vigorously, obediently replying, "Okay!"
Qin Qianyi was the first to turn off the TV and rubbed his ears.
Finally, there was no more sound of pig snorting.
He was afraid that Peppa Pig would corrupt him.
Qin Haochen picked up Ann and was about to leave when he saw a figure appear at the entrance of the living room, accompanied by a voice saying, "Dad, I’m back."
Qin Sui’an heard the unfamiliar voice and first hid in her daddy’s embrace, then cautiously looked towards the entrance of the living room.
A tall figure stood at the doorway, with deep facial features that exuded a dignified and cold aura.
However, his eyes were clear and serene, as if he could see through everything in the world.
As if discovering something, his gaze slowly fell upon Ann.
Ann covered her face with both hands, but her fingers were spread wide open, making it obvious that she was "secretly" looking at him.
A faint smile appeared in the young man’s eyes, and his voice became much gentler than before.
"Is this Ann?"
Qin Sui’an blinked her big round eyes, slowly lowered her hands, and lightly tapped her little head.
The young man took a few steps forward and came in front of Ann. He slightly lowered his posture and asked.
"Ann, do you know who Qin Fujia is?"
"I do." Qin Sui’an nodded her head again.
She first glanced at her daddy, receiving an encouraging look, before sweetly saying in her childish voice, "He’s Ann’s Eldest Brother!"
"That’s right."
A slight curve appeared at the corner of the man’s lips as he patiently guided Ann.
"I am Qin Fujia."
"So, you’re Ann’s Eldest Brother!"
Qin Sui’an pursed her small lips and smiled, feeling the kindness from her Eldest Brother.
Her round eyes immediately lit up, and she sweetly called out, "Hello, Eldest Brother!"
"Good girl."
Qin Fujia reached out his long hand, covering her little head, and gently rubbed it.
On his wrist, there was a string of Buddhist beads, emitting a faint scent of sandalwood, which was refreshing to the mind.
Qin Sui’an sniffed it with her little nose, and her attention was captured by the Buddhist beads on her Eldest Brother’s wrist.
She then lowered her head and looked at the silver bracelet on her own wrist: Both Eldest Brother and Ann wore something on their wrists!
As if finding a common ground, Qin Sui’an became extremely happy.
Her little face blushed, unable to hide her inner joy.
Upon seeing his Eldest Brother, Qin Qianyi’s heart was filled with reverence.
He put aside his usual carefree demeanor and earnestly asked, "Eldest Brother, have you been well on the mountain?"
Qin Yanyi also looked up and down at their Eldest Brother and followed up with a question, "Eldest Brother, have you been injured?"
"It’s fine, I’m not injuries," Qin Fujia replied succinctly to his two Sixth Brothers’ inquiries.
He sincerely devoted himself to Buddhism and only contacted them when necessary. He did not enjoy their contact with him.
The main reason for his return home this time was Ann’s safety.
With this in mind, Qin Fujia’s gaze swept around the living room, eventually settling on the motionless big white goose in front of the sofa. It appeared as if it were asleep. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Qin Haochen had asked Fujia to come home primarily because of that big white goose.
He was about to carry Ann and leave the living room, making space for Fujia and the big white goose.
However, upon seeing Ann, he temporarily dismissed that thought.
Ann seemed very interested in this newly arrived Eldest Brother, continuously stealing glances at him with her round, big eyes.
After a moment of contemplation, Qin Haochen raised his chin towards Qin Fujia and said, "You and Ann are meeting for the first time as well, you two should sit down and have a chat."
"All right," Qin Fujia also had this intention.
Qin Yanyi had urgent matters at the hospital and left in a hurry, while Qin Qianyi was sent away by Qin Haochen due to academic issues.
In the living room, Qin Sui’an sat to the left of her daddy, Qin Haochen, and to the right was her Eldest Brother, Qin Fujia.
Only when she got closer to her Eldest Brother did Qin Sui’an realize that the sandalwood scent was not coming from the Buddhist beads in his hand, but rather from his own body.
She found it incredibly fascinating and sniffed herself, then leaned into her daddy’s embrace and sniffed with all her might.
Everyone’s scent was indeed different.
Qin Haochen indulgently watched as Ann sniffed here and there, her little actions melting his heart, and he couldn’t hide the smile on his face.
He asked, "What is Ann smelling?"
"Daddy smells nice, and Eldest Brother also smells nice, but they are different kinds of ’nice’!"
Qin Sui’an tilted her little face upwards, her childish voice earnestly replying.
Qin Haochen bent down, imitating Ann’s actions, and sniffed her.
A sweet milky fragrance filled his nose, and he smiled, saying, "Ann smells good too."
"Ann doesn’t stink!" Qin Sui’an happily patted her little tummy.
Then, she raised her little face again, her dark round eyes staring at her Eldest Brother’s hair with a puzzled expression, "Hmm?"
Did her Eldest Brother’s hair fall out? Not a single strand was left!
After observing her Eldest Brother’s hair, Qin Sui’an turned her little head to look at her daddy’s hair.
Her daddy had so much hair!
Qin Sui’an raised her little hand and touched her own hair.
Ann also has hair!
Qin Fujia’s expression remained unchanged, even though he noticed Ann’s repeated gazes at his hair.
He didn’t show the slightest displeasure.
In her heart, Qin Sui’an was very curious about her Eldest Brother’s hair, but she didn’t dare to ask as it would be impolite.
If Ann’s hair were to fall out, she would definitely be very sad.
