Chapter 193: Chapter 153: Who Can Correct Her Three Views 2

Faye looked at him: "So what did you say to Sebastian? Are you going to help her or not?"

She didn’t believe he would refuse Sebastian’s request.

But she also didn’t like Hunter getting mixed up with Sebastian again.

Hunter laughed: "I told her I’ve already married, have a wife and kids, and can’t show myself for an ex-girlfriend. After all, a good house-husband like me is almost extinct.

I’m the kind of gentleman who never looks at girls’ legs on the street.

So Faye, really, as a man, I even envy you. How did you end up with such a great husband."

Faye burst into laughter speechlessly, rolling her eyes at him, she really couldn’t stand him.

"When exactly are you leaving? I’m also a bit tired today, want to get some sleep."

"Leave? I’ve finally sent those two little troublemakers away, do you think I might leave?"

He said while lying on the bed: "Come on, let’s exercise a bit before sleeping."

"I don’t want to, you go exercise by yourself." Faye wanted to get up, but he grabbed her back onto the bed.

Hunter hugged her tightly: "Let me tell you, a man with a wife still exercising by himself is a pervert.

Do you hope the man you married is a pervert?"

Faye rubbed her forehead speechlessly: "You really know how to talk nonsense. I’m ignoring you, I’m going to shower and get ready to sleep, really tired."

"Exercising helps with sleep." Faye forcefully got up and went to the bathroom. Hunter persistently followed: "I need a wash too."

Faye sighed looking at him, this man... who can come and correct her worldview.

Is this still the aloof male god she loved to death?

Who said that men are all childish in the face of love.

Can she now believe that he’s being so shameless just because he loves her?

Hunter saw her staring silently at him, he stepped forward to embrace her waist and kissed her.

Faye was kissed until she was breathless, in the end, she could only go along with him.

The so-called couple’s bath, she truly was experiencing it for the first time.

But doing that kind of thing in the bathroom...

Thinking about it carefully, it seems like none of the times were ever properly done on the bed.

Faye felt that her starting point was really high.

When they came out of the bathroom, she was all limp. He carried her to the bed and held her as they slept.

As Faye was drowsily about to fall asleep, she murmured: "Hunter Warren."

"Hmm?"

"This time, can I really trust you?"

Hunter smiled and held her even tighter, kissing her on the neck: "Not just this time, always believe in me.

Faye, I’m not who I used to be anymore, I’ve lost before, so I understand better how to cherish.

Trust me, forever."

Faye pursed her lips, fell asleep without opening her eyes or making a sound.

In the middle of the night, the only light in Sebastian’s hotel room was a dim glow.

She sat like a specter in front of the dressing table, rubbing the makeup remover cotton back and forth at her eye corners and mouth corners.

Before long, the bruises and wounds vanished, a clean, flawless face appeared in the mirror.

The corner of her lips in the mirror twitched slightly, full of hostility.

By the time the meeting ended at noon, it was already half past one. Faye, with Declan who attended the meeting with her, went downstairs to eat.

Just as they ordered at the restaurant, Faye’s phone rang.

She glanced at it, seeing it was Oliver, she stood up and walked to the side to answer the call: "Hello, Oliver."

"Faye, where are you."

"Me? I’m eating downstairs at the company."

"Wait for me there, I’m coming to find you now."

"Okay." Faye bewilderedly stared at the suddenly hung-up phone and returned to eat with Declan.

"Faye, have you noticed... those people following you recently disappeared."

"Really? They left?" Faye looked at Declan in surprise.

Declan’s eyes showed a flicker of evasion: "Yes, my few friends said they haven’t seen them these days, maybe they’ve finished monitoring you."

Faye wondered if this was good news or bad news. She didn’t even know why she was being followed.

"Faye."

Faye looked up at him: "Hmm?" frёewebnoѵēl.com

"Actually... Second Master is a pretty good person."

Faye looked at him confused, frowning.

"I just have a feeling, he isn’t nice to others, but he’s really good to you."

Faye pursed her lips and smiled: "I know."

"I’m done eating, Faye. Weren’t you going to meet with Director Turner later? I’ll go upstairs first."

"Go ahead."

Watching Declan leave, Faye couldn’t help but smile.

She leisurely ate her meal, just as she finished, Oliver arrived.

He opened the door and came in, sitting in front of Faye.

Faye looked at him with a slight smile: "Have you eaten?"

"I have. I came to ask you something, has Clara mentioned anything strange recently?"

"Clara? No, why?"

"I suspect Clara kidnapped Luna."

Faye was stunned, looking at Oliver, her eyes full of disbelief: "No way, why would Clara..."

"Luna disappeared, her last call was to Clara.

And honestly, in the world, only Clara has a motive."

Faye swallowed, feeling uneasy, Clara hated Luna so much, would she do something stupid?

"Where’s Clara then?"

"After arguing with me the day she came back, she hasn’t taken my calls since. I’ve really spoiled that girl.

If I’d known she’d turn out like this, I shouldn’t have adopted her back then."

Faye looked at him displeased: "Oliver, even if you’re upset, you shouldn’t say things like that.

If Clara heard this, how hurt would she be.

Why has she become like this? Isn’t it because you’re biased?

She wholeheartedly gives you her true feelings without asking for anything in return, just hoping you’ll be happy and good to her.

But you, you treat the woman who killed her mother so well. It’s normal for Clara not to accept it, no one would accept it, right?

In Clara’s eyes, you betrayed her for others.

Oliver, be honest with me, who’s the person you genuinely worry about right now, Clara or Luna."

Oliver sighed: "Clara doesn’t understand me, do you not understand me either?

I thought you knew me well enough.

If Clara killed Luna to avenge her mother.

Luna deserves her fate; she’s not a pity, but what about Clara? Wouldn’t her life be ruined?"

Faye felt a pang of regret, the person he was concerned about was Clara.

If Clara knew Oliver cared so much for her, she’d be moved, wouldn’t she?

She turned sideways, took out her phone from her bag, and started dialing Clara’s number.

It only rang two or three times before Clara answered: "Hello, Faye."

"Clara... Clara, where are you." Faye gripped the phone excitedly, and Oliver’s eyebrows slightly raised.

"I’m moving into my new apartment, why?"

"Oh... well... did you have a fight with Oliver?"

As Faye spoke, she glanced at Oliver.

"Uncle Oliver told you."

"Yes." Faye nodded.

"Tsk, he has the nerve to complain, all I did was criticize him for arranging that murderer at your company, and he got upset, called me harsh."

"You didn’t take his calls, he’s really worried about you."

"I don’t believe it, he’s busy spending time with that murderer every day, where does he have time to worry about me."

"Have you not seen Luna these few days?"

"Why would I see her? To fight? Even if I fight, no one will take my side.

Anyway, don’t mention her to me. Faye, come visit me sometime, I’m a bit busy right now."

"Okay, fine, you carry on, we’ll talk later after you’re done."

After hanging up, Faye shook her head at Oliver: "Luna’s disappearance has nothing to do with Clara."

The second half of Faye’s call was on speaker, so Oliver also knew this matter had nothing to do with Clara.

He crossed his arms puzzled, then it was odd, why did Luna suddenly disappear?

"If not, you can only call the police."

Oliver squinted his eyes and shook his head: "I’ll find another way to resolve this, don’t worry about it."

"Okay."

"I’ve been busy these days, after I finish this, I’ll accompany you and the kids on a vacation."

"Oliver, actually... I..." Faye bit her lip, how should she tell him about her and Hunter?

How to say it with the least harm to him.

Thinking about it carefully, it seemed she had done something quite unkind.

"Faye, I won’t accompany you today, let’s arrange to meet alone another day."

"Oh, okay, then you go first." Faye stood up and left the restaurant with Oliver.

Watching Oliver drive away looking thoughtful, Faye pursed her lips but couldn’t speak.

But she couldn’t drag it on like this, some things get more troublesome the longer they drag on.

Back at the company, Faye called the secretary’s office to learn that Luna had already been absent for two days.

She raised her eyebrows without thinking much about it, after all, Oliver would solve it, she wouldn’t worry more about Luna.

After work, Faye didn’t get a call from Hunter, so she drove home first.

When she reached the door of her house and just parked, a white figure appeared in front of her car.

Faye was startled and after steadying her mind found out it was Sebastian.

She frowned looking out of the car at Sebastian with a puzzled look, clearly, Sebastian came to see her.

She didn’t get out of the car, and after a long pause, Sebastian walked over to the passenger seat, opened the door, and got in.

Faye turned her head to look at her, not speaking.

Sebastian turned and pursed her lips, smiling lightly at her: "Faye, would you buy me a cup of coffee?"

Faye’s gaze flickered forward, hesitated for a moment, then restarted the car and drove away from the door.

She found a nearby coffee shop, and the two went in, each ordering a cup of coffee.

When the coffee was served, Faye elegantly picked up her cup, sipped lightly, then added two sugars.

Sebastian drank her bittersweet coffee slowly.
