Birthing Legends: My Womb Creates SSS Monsters-Chapter 72: Dyralfa vs Mother: No Holding Back.
Maddy led the way into the adjacent wing of the cave.
"Welcome to the Gym."
She announced, gesturing to the vast, shimmering arena. The walls were composed of a dense, pulsating obsidian-mineral alloy.
"You can go all out here. Don’t worry about the mobile womb chamber next door; I’ve reinforced every inch of this room with my upgraded Auto Reconstructive Shell. No matter how much damage you deal, the arena will regenerate as fast as you can break it."
Sephiran’s eyes practically sparkled as he bounced from one foot to the other.
"Whoa... look at this place! Mother, this is incredible! How did you even come up with this? And... ’Gym’? That’s such a strange but awesome name!"
Arach’s six arms flexed instinctively. He manifested a sword and struck the floor, watching as the fracture healed instantly.
"The walls... they’re regenerating already. Incredible. This chamber... it’s perfect for testing strength and technique."
Maddy chuckled at their energy.
"You two are more excited than the fighters themselves. Just wait—you’ll see exactly what this chamber is capable of."
Maddy took her position in the center of the gym, her gaze turning sharp and authoritative. She looked at her three children, her voice carrying a weight that silenced the room.
"I know this seems heartless. To force a child into battle the moment they take their first breath. But you must understand the logic of this brood. You were not born as helpless infants; you were created in peak form, molded from the essence of monsters like the Demonic Ogre—creatures whose innate natures are naturally aggressive, reckless, and malicious."
She paced slowly, her eyes locked on Dyralfa.
"My Mother’s Authority skill ensures your loyalty, but I cannot be careless. You still carry the echoes of your past lives. By challenging you at birth, I see the truth of your spirit. I test whether you will act with discipline and intelligence, or if you will fall into the chaotic instincts of your base forms. In this world, a monster without control is just a beast waiting to be hunted. I am not raising beasts; I am raising a family of legends."
The realization hit Dyralfa. This wasn’t a punishment, it was a psychological and physical evaluation. It was Maddy’s way of ensuring that the overwhelming power they inherited wouldn’t consume them.
The formal, stiff mask Dyralfa had been wearing suddenly shattered. The weight of her "warrior’s respect" transformed into a raw, feral excitement. Her stoic shell fell away, replaced by the wild, informal heat of an Ogre eager for the hunt.
She let out a guttural, earth shaking roar, her tail slamming against the floor and sending a shockwave through the chamber.
"ALRIGHT THEN, OLD LADY!"
Dyralfa yelled, her voice losing its formal edge and gaining a rasping, hungry energy.
"I get it now! You’re not just looking for a daughter; you’re looking for a soldier who can actually keep up! I wasn’t born to break, and I sure as hell wasn’t born to be a disappointment! You gave me these traits, you gave me this mountain of muscle—now let me show you that I was worth every bit of it! BRACE YOURSELF, MOTHER!"
Sephiran’s jaw hit the floor.
"WHA— Did she just call Mother an ’Old Lady’?!"
Arach let out a booming, rare laugh that filled the cavern. "
Yes, she did! Mother really is the best—she lets us be ourselves!"
Maddy laughed too, shaking her head with a grin of pure pride.
"Exactly. That’s what I love about them. My children aren’t just obedient—they see me as more than a mother, almost like a god, but they still have their own personality, their own spark. That uniqueness is what sets them apart, and I will never take that away from them..."
She plant her feet planted firmly on the floor, which hummed as it began to synchronize with her heartbeat.
"Now... COME AT ME, YOU BIG DINOSAUR!"
The moment the challenge left her lips, Dyralfa wasted no time. the formal posture vanished, replaced by the low, lethal crouch of an Apex Predator. Her massive, Dire Drake structured frame lunged forward with the terrifying speed of Serpentine Locomotion. She didn’t just run; she glided across the floor, her Iron Scales clashing against the stone.
"RAAAAAUGH!"
Dyralfa’s fist, reinforced by Diamond like Physical Hardness, swung in a horizontal arc designed to shatter boulders. Maddy’s eyes flashed. In a blur of movement, she invoked,
"Absolute Light Manipulation: Shiny Shield!"
Radiant light condensed around her forearms, solidifying into brilliant, golden shield.
BOOM!
The collision sent a shockwave that rippled through the Gym, the walls cracking and instantly stitching themselves back together. Maddy hadn’t budged, but her feet had carved two foot long trenches into the floor.
"Good weight! But you’re leaning too much into the Ogre’s recklessness, Dyralfa! Analyze your target!"
"I’m just getting started, Mother!"
Dyralfa pivoted on her massive frame, using her Heavyweight Physique as leverage. Her massive tail, thick with Spiked Hide and reinforced by the Bulwark Beetle’s Heavy Carapace, came whistling through the air like a localized hurricane. It was a Tail Whip meant to end the fight instantly.
Maddy’s eyes followed Dyralfa’s movements, calculating every angle, every impact. She whispered under her breath, 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Every part of her screams pain when it gets hit... I need a way to protect myself."
She didn’t dodge. Instead, she summoned her power with calm precision.
"Absolute Light Manipulation: Divine Armament—Plate!"
Brilliant plates of solidified light snapped into place around her, molten gold armor gleaming as it formed a flawless shield. The tail struck with earth shaking force, but the radiant barrier held, absorbing the impact in a sickeningly loud crash that echoed through the Gym.
Sephiran flinched, hiding behind Arach’s legs, but the chimera brother watched with unblinking intensity.
"Look at her Jaws, Sephiran!"
Arach shouted over the roar of combat.
"She’s using the Drake’s anatomy! That same dinosaur we devoured after I got flattened by Mother!"
Indeed, as Maddy was occupied with the tail, Dyralfa’s Elastic Jaws unhinged. Her throat glowed with a sickly, violet black light—the Toxic Breath Residue mixing with Corrosive Venom. She lunged for Maddy’s shoulder, her fangs dripping with Paralytic Venom.
Maddy’s mind raced, analyzing every twitch.
"She’s combining the Snake’s ambush with the Drake’s sheer power. But the Ogre base is making her greedy for a direct kill... Just like how she was before."
