Bizarre Realm-Chapter 455 - 55: My Turn! Still My Turn!
"The ink painting in the center of the corridor."
The Ugly Monkey’s silhouette leaped within the shadows, an ability of shadow traversal, directly appearing in the bookshelf’s reflection. Another curved saber simultaneously unsheathed with a metallic clink, transforming the sky into fleeting blade shadows. Any nearby monster barely showed its face before being instantaneously slain. He seemed to excel in dual-wield combat, a skill rarely trained in the Wandering Path.
"Advanced Acceleration Skill!" suddenly announced the Ugly Monkey.
Upon hearing this, Shawn immediately understood, and in an instant cast the Acceleration Spell on the team. The next moment, Ugly Monkey’s silhouette exploded with extraordinary combat prowess, like an invincible Berserker. Two curved sabers formed a blade barrier-like domain; Shawn had never seen another Wanderer unleash frontal combat to such a degree.
Severed limbs and broken bones littered the ground.
In a mere six seconds, enemies outnumbering their group many times over were dispatched by their combined efforts. Shawn seemed to possess foresight, predicting every enemy’s location. Despite Space Law being warped by indescribable illusory creations, all appearing space nodes were marked by Shawn. It was like slaughtering monsters at the Teleportation Gate; they couldn’t form a numerical advantage, already being systematically exterminated as they arrived.
The illusory creations entering reality, even the weakest had a Challenge Level of 15, and the more powerful clones were around Challenge Level 20, formidable even in the perilous Candlefort. Yet, amidst the team’s seamless cooperation, these monsters had no opportunity to counter.
The key was the Blade Dancer’s disappearance; had this indescribable illusion persisted, Shawn’s team’s battle wouldn’t have been so easy.
Six seconds passed quickly.
The Blade Dancer reappeared, returning from its temporal banishment, manifesting in the exact position as before.
—Time Jump (Spell Ascension Ring)!
Shawn cast spells leisurely, banishing the Blade Dancer once more into the time stream upon its appearance.
It’s still my turn!
This spell’s duration is quite long, but only the first six seconds allowed forced banishment, with special Intelligence checks needed for a return. Shawn needed the Spell Ascension Ring for banishment, consuming up to a 9-ring spell’s power, a trade he’s willing to make for six seconds of hard control.
As an Arcane Magic and Mind dual-path caster, possessing a portion of Knowledge concepts, what he lacked least was a Mana Pool.
—Delayed Detonation Fireball!
—Spell Sequence Device!
—Hellfire.
Arcane Magic and Spiritual Energy radiated from Shawn, targeting the Blade Dancer’s vanished location and solemnly stating, "In six seconds, it’ll reappear at the same spot."
This hard control doesn’t alter position, ensuring the enemy appears where banished, barring interference.
The Butcher tightened his grip on his Slaughter Knife, his entire being surging with bloodlust. Veins like worms protruded, and the ordinary Slaughter Knife’s surface showed a bloodstained pattern, resembling a Pillar of Flesh and Blood, with metal assimilated by the twisted Flesh and Blood Law.
Quinn-Tor took a deep breath, grabbing two heavy War Axes. Although not specialized in throwing, Shawn’s delayed spell forced restraint.
Ugly Monkey’s shadow materialized into a living presence, an Invisible Hand slowly emerging, and he once again vanished into the shadows.
Six Invisible Hands appeared behind Shawn, each wielding a Purgatory Roar Hand Cannon. Slaying the indescribable illusion was immensely challenging; the Blade Dancer’s speed was extreme, appearing akin to frames jump-cutting in a film. Ensuring to dispatch it in one strike, else a grueling battle awaits.
Shawn began preparing Sealing Spell; the aura of Death surfaced, transforming into True Words Spell of Death Decree.
He aimed to propel the enemy directly into near-death slaying!
Six seconds passed quickly.
The Blade Dancer returned once again from its banishment, seemingly wiser this time; the instant it manifested, it transformed into flowing ink, merging with the space laws here, turning its form into a two-dimensional paper character.
Boom!
In a cascade of explosive fire, the six Purgatory Roars behind Shawn simultaneously fired, activating the Spell Sequence Device. Delayed Detonation Fireball provided area bombardment; as Hellfire ignited, intense flames overwhelmed everything around.
Simultaneously, Quinn-Tor tossed a Flying Axe at the enemy, supplementing the move with two shots from the Purgatory Roar for effect.
The Butcher’s silhouette vanished the moment the explosion ceased, the blood-red gleam of the Slaughter Knife slicing through the diminishing firestorm, transforming the flames into a deep crimson trail. Ugly Monkey emerged from the Butcher’s shadow, the Invisible Hand transforming into shadow tendrils encircling upwards. His agile figure leaped, with two sparkling curved sabers directly decapitating the Blade Dancer ahead.
Shawn suspected the other curved saber in Ugly Monkey’s hand was also a Divine Artifact. For he already wielded Ice Death, it seemed improbable he’d wield anything random for the other weapon. (Infusing 1 point of Divinity Value into a Legendary Weapon might upgrade it to a Minor Divine Artifact.)
