[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 112: The New Hope
While Donald was in a coma, the vice principal took his place. As for Arcane, he remained focused on his own duties as a math teacher.
Although some people said that Arcane could replace his father as principal, he felt he was not competent enough to do so.
"Just because the principal is my father doesn’t mean I have the same abilities as him. I still have a lot to learn before I can replace him." That’s what he always told them.
That day, he taught as usual at school. During break time, he sat down to organize his books and prepare to go to his next class after break was over.
Not long after, a white-haired man walked into the staff room and sat down next to him. It was clearly Kyle, the language teacher at the school.
"How did your class go today? Everything went smoothly, right?" he asked.
"Yes, everything went well. How about you?" Arcane tried to ask in return, just to be polite.
Kyle replied that he was fine, everything was going smoothly, especially since Freya had been expelled from school. All the teachers felt that there were no more problems with any of the students since that day.
However, the man was worried about the principal, who had not been heard from for two weeks. Arcane explained that Donald’s condition was still the same as before.
Fortunately, everything was still stable, and they were just waiting for the man to open his eyes.
"His condition is gradually improving, even though he hasn’t woken up yet."
"I hope he wakes up soon. It feels so lonely without the principal walking around the hallways like usual. He often smiled at the students and teachers," said Kyle.
Arcane hoped for the same thing, especially since his two half-siblings continued to miss their father. They missed having dinner together, spending time together, and other things.
In the midst of his sad and chaotic thoughts, Kyle suddenly grabbed Arcane’s hand and held it gently. For a moment, the man was a little surprised, but he didn’t immediately pull his hand away.
"Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll wake up because he remembers that his children are waiting for him. The principal is a very good person, right? I’m sure he won’t disappoint the people who love him," he said with a gentle smile.
His words made Arcane fall silent, then nod his head and say thank you. He was also sure that Donald would wake up sooner or later. Whenever that was, he would still wait for him and take care of him when he had the chance.
The bell signaling the end of break rang, forcing the two of them to part ways again to go to their respective classes.
Meanwhile, Julian was at the hospital as usual to take care of Donald. The man helped wipe his body with a wet cloth, cleaning him up.
Sometimes he felt tired, having to take care of the man at the hospital, especially since he had to leave every morning and come home in the afternoon.
"Okay, now you’re clean. But how long are you going to keep this up, Mr. Stamford? Sofia and Stefano keep asking about you," he said as he buttoned his shirt again.
Julian stretched his body, starting to feel sleepy. He laid his head on the edge of the bed, then closed his eyes for a moment. He thought that taking a short nap wouldn’t be a problem, considering that Donald’s condition hadn’t changed at all.
In his sleep, Julian found himself in a place that was familiar to him. He was certain he was in the school hallway where Arcane taught. The hallway had pink walls and a floor that looked like wooden planks.
"Why am I here? Wasn’t I at the hospital with Mr. Stanford?" he asked in confusion.
He walked down the hallway, which felt so long and quiet. Julian glanced at the classroom next door, but there was no one inside, and he realized that he was the only one left in the school.
He wondered, where was everyone? Why was it so quiet, and how could he get out of here? Even the school hallway seemed to be blocking his way out.
Finally, he managed to find a way out, but it didn’t lead to the front yard of the school, but to the school garden.
In the garden, he heard the laughter of a girl and a young man near a tree that Julian knew was the tree where he had talked to Donald before.
A tree of memories with a long bench underneath, which Donald often visited.
As soon as he turned his head, he saw a girl with red hair and yellow eyes. She was with a man who was only wearing a white shirt and gray pants. The two of them were like a teacher and student, joking with each other.
"Mr. Stamford?" Julian walked toward them, looking at the young man he was sure was Donald. But this was his younger self. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Donald turned, looking at Julian who was now walking toward him. He was quite surprised, because there was someone else there besides them.
"Yes, that’s my name. But who are you?" asked Donald, who didn’t recognize him.
"It’s me, Julian! Don’t you recognize me?" he asked back.
The red-haired girl, who was none other than Wilona, stood up from where she was sitting and approached Julian. "I think I know you. What are you doing here?"
He explained that he himself didn’t know why he was there, but seeing Donald in front of him, he just wanted the man to wake up and come back immediately.
Donald looked confused by what Julian said to him. Since he looked fine, what did he mean by waking up immediately?
At first, she thought the green-haired man in front of her must be crazy for acting so strangely.
"Maybe you’ve got the wrong person. I’m fine here with Wilona. Who are you telling to wake up?"
