Kyle’s heart pounded so hard when he heard that Arcane wanted to hiking with him. He didn’t expect the man to accept his invitation, and a feeling of joy filled him.

Vasco nodded at what Arcane said because it made sense. He also mentioned that Kyle was submissive and very gentle. Arcane agreed with that, but he didn’t really care about the topic of conversation.

"I also heard that his husband works in construction. Kyle must feel so lonely because he rarely gets attention from someone who is rarely at home," Vasco said again.

Those words were enough to make Arcane realize where their conversation was going. He looked at the biology teacher, emphasizing that he had no relationship with Kyle.

"Just because we’re often seen together doesn’t mean we have a special relationship behind our own partners. I only love my husband, and I’m sure Kyle is also faithful to his husband. So it’s better for you not to think that far," he said firmly.

Arcane isn’t stupid. In fact, he knows that Kyle likes him, especially since he treats him well when his husband rarely treats him that way. He realizes how the language teacher keeps trying to get his attention.

Not long after, the man they were talking about returned, and Vasco chose to go back to his previous seat.

Kyle didn’t think much about how he answered, thinking that maybe Arcane was just tired and sleepy. So he closed his eyes, trying to stay asleep and calm his heart, which was beating so fast right now.
