Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 209: The roasted fish that bit back
After a full hour, their lunch was finally there.
Either the Cook or his assistants provided the guests with the fish that had been roasted on stones close to the fire, and then he spread the roasted fish amongst his own tribesfolk.
Much like on what it was cooked, the fish was handed to them on a clean, flat rock, so they wouldn’t have to carry multiple fish on their hands as they ate. The Cook knew how stressful it could be to eat that way, especially for people who liked to keep their food clean, and not put their food on the ground, rather than chewing dirt grains, or getting the fish cold by washing them in the lake close by. He insisted that the tribesfolk had some decency when they ate, but from the looks of it, his people didn’t care to hear about it.
They didn’t care about the fact that they were naked, for one thing, and started pigging out on the meals in front of them as if they hadn’t eaten for days! Breasts swinging, and all, they didn’t care.
’I guess mermaids really like fish,’ He thought, and tried not to make it apparent that he wanted to laugh, ’Don’t look... don’t look... don’t look...’
To keep himself busy, he looked at Eni, who was poking the fish with her finger, seemingly hesitant to eat it, despite that she had complained about the food being late for a full hour. Earlier on, she did insist that meat was meat, but she also didn’t like fish, because she had bad experiences with them.
"I nearly choked twice while eating fish before..." She said.
The Cook heard her, rushed forward like a frantic toddler, and said, "We already removed the bones, miss, don’t worry."
"Oh?" She looked up. "That’s nice."
Eni was still hesitant, because she didn’t like how dirty the fish looked. It wasn’t actually dirty, it just had a lot of spices on it, which made it look far different from the plain white fish she used to eat as a child. Her instincts insisted that these fish were not supposed to be eaten.
Yet, the Cook stood on top of her, looking over her shoulder, practically pressuring her to give the meal he cooked a shot. He would not go away, no matter how many times Jimmy cleared his throat.
Eni noticed this, so she caved, not because she was scared, or intimidated by the naked man that had his dong two feet away from her face, but because she was really hungry. What convinced her to give the fish a shot even more, was the fact that there were several pounds of it on her stone ’plate’. She looked at everyone’s plates, and noticed that she had two more fish compared to them.
"Special treatment, huh?" She said, and looked at Jimmy. "Cute."
Afterwards, she ripped a handful of it from the biggest, gutted, and cleaned fish she saw, and munched on it. Her eyes sparkled immediately, as the salt and spices hit her tastebuds!
"This... is... delicious..." She spoke with her mouth full, and then ripped another chunk off, ready to fill her gut with as much fish as she could eat. "So... odd... is this even meat?"
"It is," The Cook smiled. "Salt works wonders, and the Red-hot Spike weeds do the rest of the work. Enjoy."
Afterwards, he walked away, taking his dong along with him, and sat down to eat. Jimmy and his friends were given the space to enjoy their meals without anyone looking over them.
As Eni pigged out, perhaps even worse than the shapeshifters, Jimmy and Zik took their time.
Jimmy had eaten fish before, and he was quite aware of how spices tasted like, so the mildly spicy effect of the red sprinkles of Red-hot Spike weeds did not affect him much. Not as much as Eni, at least. He wasn’t even that hungry, so he took his time as he nibbled on the solid, three pound fish in front of him.
Zik wasn’t as excited. He was used to bland food more than his friends, and he didn’t particularly like to eat fish, but he gave it a shot nonetheless.
When he felt the mild spices burning his mouth, he couldn’t help huffing and puffing. He even jumped up when he tasted the spices for the first time, and suspected that the shapeshifters were trying to poison him and his friends!
Jimmy waved for him to sit down, silently telling him that everything was alright. It took some convincing, but since the shapeshifters weren’t even paying attention to him all that much, he managed to calm down a bit. As the spices started tasting better, he managed to relax entirely.
However, he was still a bit salty, perhaps equally salty as the salt on the fish, so he couldn’t help commenting on it.
"I’ve lived many summers, but I’ve never heard of dead fish that could still bite back." He said, after a mouthful. "Why is the fish biting my tongue, Cook? I don’t like it."
Before the Cook could answer, the same woman that had brought Zik down here, raised her head up, and couldn’t help arguing with him.
She was close by, so Zik heard her quite well as she said, "Relax, old man, it won’t bite your tiny little worm off."
Zik was livid for a moment, but he knew just what to say to tick her off as well. Unfortunately, he was acquaintanced with her enough to know how to get under her skin.
"I’ll take your word for it, Leaf Chewer," He emphasized the last words, and grew a smile as he looked down at his meal. "This fish takes some getting used to, Cook. I haven’t speared river monsters in a while."
"That’s alright," The Cook tried to calm himself down, and didn’t even bother standing up to reason with him. "Enjoy your meal, outsider."
The little episode of drama stopped there. People did start enjoying their food, as there was plenty of it to go around.
Most people were chewing through three pounds of fish, apart from Eni, who had a total of eight pounds of fish in front of her, and considering such quantities, these folks were not only going to enjoy their nice, tasty lunch, but they might have to throw half of it away.
It was simply too much meat for either one of them to eat in its entirety. Jimmy figured that they were going to take the leftovers to their kids, on the other side of the lake, so he tried not to be too greedy with his own roasted fish. He didn’t know how many kids these shapeshifters were hiding away, but he hated the idea of any of them going hungry.
