Breeding System:My Five Beast Husbands Want Heirs-Chapter 18: Little Minions
Mira’s eyes studied the timer glaring in front of her head.
Never did she think she would have a task which resulted in death while she was pregnant but once again, system proved her wrong. Wasn’t mating the entire point of her transmigration or was there more to it?
Mira sighed, chewing her fingernails. So the actual demon of the forest, aka Hye Yang based on Mira’s memories was spending the night. No matter how long or short the night would be, that period of time would result in the timer counting her last days being less than two days. She could not risk that.
She needed to make Hye Yang so uncomfortable she would want to leave. On earth, Mira could’ve swapped her hair lotion for hair remover and put rashes powder in her shower gel but this world was different. She did not even know anything about Hye Yang to know what to use against her. After the age of ten when statuses in the horbit was concluded, the old Mira and Hye Yang became distant. And that distance turned to hate. They never worded it but it was there.
A push on her stomach made her eyes rest on it. She may be wrong but she felt the baby kick. Then it hit her. Children.
The children of the pride loved her. Well, not really but she was less scary to them. She was the mother of the tribe after all. That’s right, the answer was staring her right in the face all along.
Time to frustrate dear old sister into leaving before she does whatever she wanted to. Those never ended well.
Mira sat up. Jia Hao was by her side on the bed, sat up and invested in what he was doing. Sewing. Her husband was sewing. Mira had a lot of questions but she kept them to herself. Most of her life, she thought sewing was old lady work. Oh wait, that was knitting!
She shrugged. Po-ta-to, po-tah-to.
"Going somewhere?" Hit her when she stood.
"Just for a little while." She did not turn to face him but from the quietness in the room, she knew he did not move either. "I want to bond with the children in the pride since it won’t be long till I have one." Mira added. She would tell Jia Hao her actual plan but he was way too self righteous for something that petty. Mira heard the gentle thuds caused by movement so she turned immediately, waving her hand before her to stop him.
"You don’t need to follow me." She blurted out nervously.
Jia Hao looked like he wanted to protest. Mira smiled. "If you followed me every single time, how would I ever know if they are welcoming to me for me or because their king demands it. I want to bond with them on my own, husband."
Did Jia Hao buy it?
Jia Hao shuffled his head for answers, looking for the right response. She did make a valid point. "Okay."
He succumbed, yes! Mira cheered in her mind.
"But stay out there longer than usual and I will find you myself."
Mira grinned. "Understood." She worded. "But be rest assured, I don’t want to be away from my husband either." She said.
Jia Hao’s eyes softened. He sat back and to his earlier position and continued sewing.
Now that Mira had time all to herself, it was time to bring out the trouble in children.
The first thing Mira did when she stepped out of Jia Hao’s home was to make meat. Well spiced, delicious meat. It was bait to lure the kids out.
And it worked. The first one to be lured outside to where she was, was Marr. She knew the adults scented the meat too but all of them would be smart enough to assume it was being prepared for the pregnant woman, aka her.
The children however, they were known for not having sense. The incident with the fire proved it. It was easy to lure one out. Now that she thought about it, she needed to rectify that.
A cub was with Marr, following the aroma.
"Meat lady!" Marr screamed, running toward her. He hugged her feet. The force almost pushed Mira to the ground. Good thing for animal strength, young Marr could’ve been the next meat assuming she fell.
"Marr." She responded as her hand found his hair and she patted. "Call all your friends and have them meet me for some meat." She said.
Marr looked up at her in childlike determination then nodded before jolting away. Mira smirked. It was time to tap into her inner Ch!na and unleash some child labour business because these kids would work for the meat they wanted.
Just it won’t be past something they typically did.

The foxes were out for a night bath. It was time to invade their assigned quarters. Mira had a wooden jar of bugs. Bed bugs and fleas. Her sister and the skulk would have a very, very, interesting itchy night with a whole lot of biting and hosting, only they are the hosts.
"Pssst!" Mira called to the cubs. They looked excited. "Put these in the fur beds the foxes laid on. And ensure not to get any on your skin, got it?"
They nodded. She was going to be with them of course but she had to pass the message. "Charge!!" Mira whisper screamed. The little minions ran forward. They looked like mini soldiers in training. They had so much determination and strength and all that for sole pieces of meat?
She was begunnn to understand why most of the McDonald’s in her region hired only teenagers and on a normal day, she would feel bad about it but her life was on the line.
[You are so sneaky, host.]
Tell me something I do not know.
"Do not forget to put it on their skin veils. Fur clothing too." Mira instructed.
The kids obeyed.
With all the effort and eagerness they’re putting into being mischievous, Mira knew she and the cubs will bond really well during these three days. Really well indeed.
