CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 160: Ring of Fire

Princess Valeria’s eyes widened.

She could not believe that the man she had just taken for a guard was actually Duke Salvador. Aiden removed his mask as his face came into view. He looked back only to see the shocked faces of the Vivere Kingdom’s royal family.

A laugh left his mouth as he hooked his lips up. "Why are you all so surprised?"

Although everyone looked at the Duke with astonishing expression, they also looked at the man standing beside the secretary.

Everyone had the same expression on their face. Who is the real Duke Salvador? Is it the man that followed Princess Cassandra everywhere like a shadow or is it the man that came in with Princess Valeria?

"Aiden?" It was Prince Cedric that came forward as he looked at Duke Salvador with a smile. "I knew that something was wrong. How can you fall for my sister."

Listening to Prince Cedric’s words, Princess Valeria’s gaze shook. She could not believe it.

Although the truth was in front of her, she did not want to acknowledge it. Princess Valeria turned towards the man that pretended to be Duke Salvador.

"Who are you?" Princess Valeria gritted her teeth. Her eyes were turning red with rage. Valeria knew that it was not the right time but she could not control her anger. Her hands moved before her words came out. "I ASKED WHO YOU ARE?"

A large splash of flame moved towards the man but it was broken by a strong wave of wind. Princess Valeria was getting irritated by the minute. No matter how hard she tried, all of her attacks were getting blocked by one or the other.

Princess Valeria looked as she saw Prince Cedric walking towards her. "Enough Valeria. There is a limit to everything."

The man that pretended to be Duke Salvador looked at Blazh who indicated him to go by his hand. Blazh could feel that things were getting serious and there was no way that it could settle.

"ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TELLING ME THAT?" Princess Valeria shouted as a round ring of fire emerged. Her rage-fueled it as she narrowed her eyes. "I AM LOSING EVERYTHING. THAT MAN THAT I THOUGHT WAS FINALLY MINE TURNED OUT TO BE FAKE. I AM BETRAYED HERE AND RATHER THAN BEING ON YOUR SISTERS SIDE YOU ARE TELLING ME TO STOP?"

Prince Cedric shook his head as he looked at his sister who was being dramatic. He would never have been your Valeria and you know it too." Prince Cedric’s voice turned softer as she tried to tell her as if telling a child. "Close your eyes and think about it yourself."

"SHUT UP!!" Princess Valeria shouted at the top of her lungs as the ring of fire spread out. Everyone tried to move but before Princess Cassandra could react, she was pushed in front of the fire by a strong force. Princess Cassandra could not understand as she looked back only to see the Grand Duke smiling at her.

"Uncle." Prince Carl said in a hurry, but the Grand Duke had already taken action. Princess Cassandra that was pushed widened her eyes. She did not see the Grand Duke coming but once she knew what was happening to her, Cassandra knew that the Grand Duke might have used the power of darkness to travel.

"Teimei, now." The Grand Duke said as Princess Teimei used her power to unstabilize the crystal.

Princess Cassandra knew that nothing that the Vivere Kingdom’s people wanted would happen. After all, she had eaten a real candy but she also knew that she had to absorb powers to make them realize that she has absorbed the fire now.

As the fire ring was about to hit her, Cassandra closed her eyes as she waited and soon her body started getting warm.

Princess Cassandra opened her eyes as she saw Duke Salvador pulling her in his arms. But she was surprised that they were still in the fire.

[Let the fight begin.]

Duke Salvador thought as Princess Cassandra smiled. She had the same thought in her mind. Cassandra smiled as she shouted before absorbing the fire coming her way. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

The snow started melting because of Princess Valeria’s Power but it had not completely melted yet. Seeing that the fifth Princess was able to absorb the fire element, the Grand Duke was happy.

"It really works." The Grand Duke murmured. Although there was a risk, they had still gone out with the thing and done it.

Prince Carl and Princess Teimei took a breath of relief. Their plan had worked. If the fifth Princess could not absorb then the situation would be very messy for them.

Princess Valeria’s eyes widened. The useless Princess was unharmed even though she had used her most powerful attack.

[She absorbed it?]

[How?] The thoughts revolved around Princess Valeria’s mind but she did not have time to dwell on it. Her eyes were filled with the image of the fifth Princess.

Seeing Duke Salvador go and protect her. Seeing the man she loved, pulling someone else in his arms. The raging emotions that she had always buried were resurfacing.

"It’s you." Princess Valeria took a deep breath as she took a step forward. "I never imagined that you would be in love. I have been ignorant. I should have killed you long ago."

Princess Valeria laughed as her eyes shined. "But I will not repeat the same mistake again."

Princess Valeria moved her hand as many waves for fireballs immersed ready to hit the fifth Princess. Princess Valeria did not care at all, even if Duke Salvador was standing at the receiving end of her attack, her eyes were only focused on the fifth Princess.

Princess Valeria could understand now why she didn’t like the fifth Princess. Just because she was a little more beautiful, or because she was powerless, but because everyone looked at her differently. Even though one wanted to hate her, they could not so they simply ignored her.

Princess Valeria had seen how many noble eyes would go towards the fifth Princess in parties and balls. Although no one of them came forward but Valeria knew what they felt. They wanted the fifth Princess for her goddess-like beauty but hated her for having no powers.

Princess Valeria laughed as she moved her hand. The balls of fire that were ready to shoot, moved towards the fifth Princess. It was as if there was a fire rain in the sky.

Princess VCassandra’s eyes moved as she walked out of Duke Salvador’s arms. Aiden tried to stop the attack. Achard Bentham and Blazh made a water shield while Amy pushed the wall in front of the fifth Princess. Prince Cedric moved and hit Princess Valeria’s hand with a water beam.

Princess Valeria’s anger increased as she moved her attention to her brother, "I think I have to deal with you first."

Princess Valeria moved her hand as a water beam similar to Prince Cedric’s. The two powers collided with force pushing each of them back.

"You have got stronger, brother." Princess Valeria joked as her eyes narrowed. Her face was showing her unhappiness clearly as she struggled to move forward. "But I am the strongest."

Once Prince Cedric was not paying attention, Princess Valr\eria moved her hand and a strong wind started blowing, pushing the snow into Prince Cedric’s face.

Being completely blindfolded, Prince Cedric tried to remove the snow from his face when a fireball moved towards his face.

Prince Cedric did not have any time to avoid it as he fell to the ground. His arms and body have severe burn marks. He felt that the cold snow gave him some relief but the pain was still high.

"Princess Cassandra is it?" Princess Valeria turned around as she looked at the fifth Princess that was protected like a princess. "I was a little late to focus on you but worry no more. I have my eyes on you and I will make sure that you suffer."

Princess Valeria moved. The secretary that stood on the side did not care what emotions the first Princess was going through. He was clear that once all the snow melted everything will be over anyway.

"Focus on melting the snow, Princess." The secretary said hurriedly, worrying that the first Princess would avoid him again. "Once it is done, ending a life will be as simple as blinking an eye."

Princess Valeria smiled. "Yes, it’s true." Princess Valeria murmured. She looked at the people protecting the fifth Princess. The Vivere Kingdom’s royal family and an unknown man known as Grand Duke stood there at the side.

"It’s finished once and for all." Princess Valeria said as she laughed. Her eyes were filled with the image of Duke Salvador and Princess Cassandra standing together that she could only feel burning rage.

Due to this, Princess Valeria could not see the secretary moving back as he walked towards the Vivere Kingdom’s people.

Princess Valeria raised her hands up as she used all of her powers. The sky turned windy as the black clouds surrounded them. Everyone saw up as they could see that something destructive was coming their way.
