CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 301: Perfect Chance (2)

"Love, my tummy doesn’t feel good. I have to go to the bathroom. Can you wait for me in that cafe, order coffee for me too while waiting, ok?" Henry said to Amy who quickly nodded.

She and Mary did the ordering while the rest took their seats as they waited. There was a really long line though but they had no choice for it was the only cafe in the airport.

"Why is this line not moving? Are they short of staff or something?" Amy complained, she was really worried about Henry. She doesn’t think that it was just a simple stomach pain for Henry looked different.

One of the female staff who was holding a pen and paper approached Amy and Mary, "Good afternoon ma’am, we are very sorry for the long wait, but let me write down your order and put it in the queue," said the staff who was taking advance orders.

Amy smiled at the staff, she was glad that the coffee shop was aware of the situation and was taking action. "I would like–"

"What the hell is this?" Amy was cut off by the man in front of her in the queue. "We arrived here before her, so why are you taking her order first and not mine?"

"I-I’m sorry sir, b-but–"

"I want to speak with your manager!" the man yelled making the people in the cafe look at them.

"Sir, my manager is quite busy at the moment. As you can see there are a lot of customers and–" the female staff tried to explain but the man had no plan to listen.

"I said, I want to talk to your manager NOW!"

Amy panicked, the man had a muscular body and was tall and the woman was small just like her, so she tried to help the woman but before she could speak, the security guard arrived.

"What seems to be the problem here?" the security guard said.

"What problem? I don’t have a problem, but this cafe does!" the man did not lower his voice even if a lot of people were looking at them already.

"You are disturbing the peace here, come with me..." The security then grabbed the wrist of the man and they walked a few steps away, but all eyes were still glued to them for the man was struggling a bit and still yelling. Suddenly, the man pushed the security guard so forcefully that the security guard fell to the ground causing the people around to gasp loudly in chorus.

The two female staff from the cafe ran to the security guard to help him stand up. The angry man turned around ready to walk away. The security guard dusted his uniform as soon as he stood up and without warning, a loud sound was heard in the area together with the security guard’s very loud voice.

"𝘖𝘩 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬...

𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘺e𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘦."

The song "Shut Up And Dance by Walk The Moon" was heard, making the angry man look back to the security guard.

The security guard unexpectedly started dancing in front of the angry man. After just a few steps...

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺..." the two female cafe staff joined in the dance facing the still angry man.

"𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘩 𝘰𝘩 𝘰𝘩...

𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦."

The crowd started to gather around the three dancing staff of the cafe while the angry man was just standing in front of the three, staring at them while his hands were on his waist.

"𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵...

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭, 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭, 𝘬𝘳𝘺𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦."

Amy was watching closely thinking if that was the way of the cafe to de-escalate such angry customers. And to everyone’s surprise, the previously angry man started dancing too.

Amy started smiling, ’Oh, this must be a flash mob by the cafe, to cool off the temper of the impatient customers,’ she thought. Then four more people coming from the bystanders walked to the middle and joined in the dancing.

"𝘐 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬...

𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦."

Amy took her phone to take a video of the flash mob, she was feeling lucky to witness such an event until one of the dancers moved closer to them taking Mary’s hand and trying to pull her to the center to join in the dance.

Amy laughed when Mary was pleadingly refusing so she pushed her best friend to join the fun. Her video recording focused on Mary while laughing at her best friend who looked lost in the middle.

Amy’s jaw dropped at the sight before her...

"𝘈 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘴...

𝘔𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦 𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮."

Mary danced in synced with the dancers.

"𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦..."

Amy then saw Sandra and Maya head towards the dance area and positioned themselves on either side of Mary before dancing too.

"𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳...

𝘉𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳."

Amy was shocked and perhaps her jaw got locked already for it was still open until now due to her astonishment.

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺..."

Anton, Rei, and Theo joined in, making Amy cover her mouth as she continued recording the whole thing with her shaking hands.

"𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘩 𝘰𝘩 𝘰𝘩...

𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦."

’What the hell is going on? Why was I not informed?’ Amy asked herself.

"𝘖𝘩, 𝘤’𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭..."

Two sets of hands landed on Amy’s shoulder and she immediately looked at the two people on her left and right and saw Auntie Alice and Uncle Robert beside her. She put down her hand that was holding her phone when the old couple pointed at the side of the dance area.

Amy cried while both her hands covered her mouth. She saw Jayson and Jena walking toward the center of the flash mob before started dancing as well.

"Oh, my God! Jayson is dancing! Our baby is dancing!" Amy exclaimed while sobbing, making the old couple shed tears too, but they were happy tears.

Then everyone pointed to the other side, making everyone watching look to that spot.

"𝘋𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴...

𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦...

𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦."

Amy stopped crying after seeing Henry in a grey tailored suit, looking handsome as always, heading towards the dancers. She frowned in confusion for it was not what he was wearing earlier.

"𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘮...

𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥."

Amy laughed and cried at the same time when Henry started dancing and her whole body was trembling. She was still overwhelmed that Jayson was there dancing beside Henry, whom she thought was still under home therapy.

At the same time, she is confused as to why Henry changed his outfit just to dance to a disco song.

Henry then raised his right hand and pointed at her...

"𝘖𝘩 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬..."

Of course, Henry sang to the song as he pointed his index and middle finger to his own eyes while staring at Amy.

"𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘦..."

Jena and Jayson walked toward Amy, they grabbed both her hands and led her to where Henry was.

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺..." Henry sang after someone gave him a microphone.

Then everyone sang too.

"𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘩 𝘰𝘩 𝘰𝘩... 𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 HIM!" Everyone pointed at Henry. He then kneeled on one knee before getting a velvet box in his inside jacket pocket.

"I should have done this the first time, love. I am sorry if it took a while but I want the whole world to know and to see how great my love for you is. You are the angel who saved me from my own darkness, the woman who kept me sane, and the only woman whom I want to be the mother of my future children.

You are the only one in my heart Amy. From then and now, till tomorrow even after my last breath, you are the only one who will hold my heart forever. Will you marry me?"

Amy sobbed loudly and was not able to speak due to the intense emotion that was enveloping her whole being.

"And us?!" Jena and Jayson ran beside Henry and kneeled too. Jayson was holding a bouquet of red roses, while Jena was holding a white teddy bear, offering them to Amy as if it was their engagement rings.

Amy chuckled at how cute her nephew and niece looked while proposing to her as well.

"It’s a YES!!!" Amy exclaimed as she raised both her hands before kneeling too to give her big hug to the three precious people in her life, "Of course, I will marry the three of you!"

Jena and Jayson, jumped to Amy to hug her back leaving Henry’s side.

"Wait! Kids hush, calm down, Auntie Amy said yes, let me put the ring on her finger first!" Henry said making Amy, Jayson, and Jena laugh, and so did everyone else.

The sight of the four put tears in everyone’s eyes, especially their family and friends. Their first wedding was not known to the kids because of Henry’s promise and he thought that involving both Jayson and Jena in the proposal itself would be an unforgettable experience for the kids and it’s also his way for Jayson and Jena to like him more.

He will be their father soon after he and Amy adopt them so he better start impressing his future kids. When the ring was finally on Amy’s finger she raised her hands for everyone to see. The crowd applauded and expressed their congratulations before dispersing.

Mary handed Amy some tissue papers which she immediately used to wipe her eyes, nose, and face. "Argh, I can’t believe you two made me cry like that in public!" Amy said to Henry and Jayson making them chuckle.

"How about me Auntie Amy? Did I make you cry too?" Jena asked in a cute voice.

"No baby, you make Auntie smile all the time," she said to Jena before shifting her gaze to Henry.

She smiled at him so affectionately that no words were needed for them to understand each other. With that smile alone, they both felt the overflowing love that they had for each other.

’My day just keeps getting better and better,’ Henry said to himself inwardly as he looked back at Amy, his wife, and the mother of his future children.
