After the passionate night with Melissa and promising fervently to not get myself into any trouble, I was finally able to extricate myself from her clingy claws..

I was currently on my way towards another dungeon, this one a more public D-rank dungeon, Kobold’s Paradise...

Cheesy and cliche I know.

But what can you do? It’s the only thing my aunt and girlfriend would let me dive into without losing their minds..

Besides, this dungeon should fulfil my immediate needs, after all I only needed to max out my intelligence attribute, break the limit caps on my attributes, rank up then go tackle that A-rank wyvern aunt v mentioned..

I was getting excited just thinking about what I’d get from devouring such a creature...

I arrived at the Kobold’s paradise a few minutes later.

And like one would expect from a dungeon gate, it was packed.

The usual crowd, party gatherings, supply sales, trades. The whole lot.

I loved this atmosphere.

It always put me in an adventurous mood..

So, taking a deep breath, I stepped towards to swirling blue portal.

The transfer went through without a hitch, it felt like passing through a curtain of water only without the sensation of getting wet..

I’d realized this earlier but the gravity of my situation didn’t let me dwell on it too much back then, but I don’t seem to have gotten that early teleportation gags that people often talked about in novels..

"I guess I’m just built different"I muttered in mock humility..

I know what you’re thinking and no, the dungeon didn’t mutate this time, it was going to be a normal dungeon dive..

Bummer I know, haha...

I took in my surroundings carefully.

As expected it was another forested dungeon.

Ancient trees rose like towering monuments to the sky, the air felt charged with mana, the chirping of birds resounded through out the air..

The soft crunch of leaves as I walked drifted into my ears, honestly the area looked like something straight out of a fantasy tourists attraction, of course if you discarded the bipedal dog headed creatures and right on cue..

Rustle....Rustle...

The treeline ahead of me rustled as three figures stumbled out..

They had coarse grey fur, a dog’s head and bipedal clawed legs..

They stood at a little over 5ft with crude weapons in their grasps..

Their names flashed above them.

Honestly they were too lackluster for a pack of D-grade monsters.

One couldn’t blame me for my disappointment though, after facing the dungeon I just did, this felt like someone just slapped a pair of training wheels on my bike, absolute letdown..

"Sigh...let’s just get this over with"

I sighed dejectedly as I raised my fingers in a shooting gesture..

"Now say hello to my little friend.."

Woosh...wooosh....woosh...

The sound of the air splitting rang out for a split second before...

The three kobolds were now spotting a very distinct new hole in their foreheads, honestly I felt like it added a bit more to their aesthetics...

"Yea, now that just feels bland..."

It really felt like the difference between heaven and earth looking at those pitiful numbers..

After dealing with hundreds of thousands of exp, to now a measly 1200? This must be what normal people feel like, damn...

"Well I’m not here for the exp anyways..."

I consoled myself...

it wasn’t that they weren’t trying enough, it’s just that the situation was already against them..

They couldn’t fight higher tiered opponents and the ones on their levels only provided bare minimum experience..

No wonder geniuses made things look easy...

"System, how many points to break the limit cap?" I asked, fully aware that it wouldn’t cost the same amount of points...

One thousand points for a measly point increase in each of the regular attributes? And what the hell is that with the intelligence attribute? 10,000 points just to increase it by 1 fucking point?

"Yea, fuck you too you goddamn sham of a system.."

No way in hell am I giving myself that much stress for such little returns...

I couldn’t agree with my system this time, spending a whopping thousand points for a measly point doesn’t make any sense to me, so I decided to focus on my rank up instead..

"By the way, how do I rank up? I doubt it’d be the normal way with a crystal, if it were, you’d have saved me a hell lot of time"..
