For a moment I really thought I’d be forced to start parading as some snotty banished immortal, putting my hands in my sleeves and all that bullshit...

But it seems it was only a matter of energy purity and such..

I was beginning to believe that this system was out for my peace of mind..

Ever since it appeared, I seemed to have unlocked a sailor’s tongue, cursing left and right..

"Sigh.... Let’s just get this boss fight over with, I suddenly feel more motivated to break my attribute limits than ranking up."

This bum system just boxed me in..

First it was the ridiculous amount of attributes required to break my limits.

So with a heart filled with stifled feelings of rage, I pushed open the ragged double doors of the boss room, ready to vent my frustration...

The boss room of the kobold chief was exactly what you’d expect from a dog’s lair..

White bones carpeted the floor, the air was damp, and the smell of wet dog filled the entire makeshift throne room..

At the end of this mess of a place, on a crude looking throne sat a kobold..

It had brown fur, a stark cntrast to the other monster’s coarse grey coats..

It was bigger than the others, at a towering 3 meters it stood even taller my 7ft5 frame...

Awooooooooooo!!!

It let out a screeching howl the moment it’s beady eyes landed on me..

Gripping the great sword by the side of its makeshift throne, it slashed towards me...

The moment the attack left it’s weapon, my abilities activated..

I could see the arc of energy move in unnerving slow motion.

Stepping sideways I easily avoided the strike and then.

Yea, these two abilities were proving to be very effective..

They didn’t lose in the broken department to devour at all.

And realizing that they’re just part of the first unlocked abilities of my bloodline and physique? I got giddy just imagining what other things were waiting for me..

"But for now, let’s get this raid over with, I still need to visit other dungeons and stack enough points if I want to get any substantial increases on my attributes" i muttered to myself.

I didn’t even bother defending against the second <energy slash> currently hurtling towards me..

The attack struck true, dust clouds rising..

I could see the satisfaction on the creature’s twisted face, it thought it actual got me?

I swiped the dust away, and the way the creature’s expression twisted into shock and disbelief at my unharmed appearance made me satisfied..

"This must be what power creeping feels like"..

It felt satisfying not going to lie...

"Well you can die now.."

I didn’t have any weapons on me so I just executed the skill using my hands..

The air parted violently as a wave of ABYSS-BLACK energy erupted outward in a crescent arc...

The boss monster howled.

Raised its blade high, and struck with all it had..

"Futile endeavor" I shook my head just as my attack came into contact with the monster’s defense..

Sliceeeee....

Pshhhhhh!!!!

Like a hot knife going through butter the energy wave cut through both the monster’s weapon and it’s body, cleanly bisecting the creature into two whole pieces...

"Nice, I think I’ll keep it" I grinned.
