As I walked towards my aunt’s office I called up my status panel..

The numbers remained the same..

Even though her words had been cold and dismissive, my system insisted she was still almost completely mine...

I didn’t understand it but

"Now isn’t the time to bother with meaningless thoughts.."

She’d chosen her path.

Decided not to trust me with whatever was going on.

It hurts, but I wasn’t about to let it distract me from my goal.

"Time to hunt a Wyvern" i muttered under my breath..

But before any of that, it was finally time to rank up..

Raven’s office....

"So let me get this straight... you want 5 million E-rank crystals?" Aunt raven asked, looking at me weirdly..

"Like I said, aunt v, it’s tied to my ranking up, what can I do if I’m too exceptional?" I shrugged carelessly, not minding the exorbitant amount of crystals I’d just requested..

"Besides. You did say you wanted to be a sugar mommy, here’s the perfect chance" I grinned sheepishly ..

"This brat..." she shook her head fondly..

Her hand found her intercom, "Clarissa." She called out.

"I’m here."

"Prepare 50 thousand C-rank crystals for Dante.." aunt v ordered..

"On it." Came Clarissa’s reply, no questions. Nothing..

"There. 50 thousand C-rank crystals, should be enough no?" She asked smiling..

I was already on my feet, my hands found her cheeks as I placed a happy peck on it.

She blushed, heat coloring her face..

"Thank you so much aunt v." I said, stepping back.

The moment had urged me on, but I wasn’t regretting it, not one bit.

"Fufufu. If that’s what it takes to make you happy then by all means" she laughed, the teasing glint returning to her eyes..

Later that day I’d found myself within an expansive training room belonging to the bloody rose guild.

Aunt V had insisted on being present during my rank up, to prevent any unforeseen circumstances she’d said, but who was I to deny her?

So I was currently staring at a pile of dazzling crystals, the concentration of mana within them dense enough to fog the entire training room.

Aunt V stood off to the side, I could feel her hawklike gaze boring into me.

"Heh. So dramatic" I laughed.

"Say that after you rank up without blowing yourself up" came her sharp as always retort...

"Hehe. You worry for nothing aunt v. I’m not built so fragile.." was what I said, but even I myself wasn’t sure what to expect..

"Hoooo.... Alright Dante, no time like the present..." I tried to hype myself up..

Steeling myself I muttered

Devour...

The black mist drifted out of me, engulfing the entire pile of crystals.

But instead of the usual method where I just take in what I devoured, this time around I had activated the <CHAOS ENERGY CONVERSION> technique, so instead of the usual messages I’d get whenever I devoured something, nothing of the likes appeared..

Instead, the energy from the crystals flowed into my body, flowing through the ephemeral energy veins within me..

They moved throughout my body, a sudden euphoria gripping me as I felt my muscles, bones and complete being saturated in a way I’d never thought possible..

After completing multiple rounds within my body, the energy finally found its way to my <Chaos Core>.

The moment the pure crystalline energy from the mana crystals came within the periphery of my core, I could feel the technique finally kicking in properly..

Tendrils of black like smoke wafted out of my core, pulling the crystalline energy in, converting pure mana into chaos energy..

The mana swirled, churned and condensed within the core..

I could feel my core expand slowly in real time..

From its initial 2 meter diameter, it grew steadily..

3 meters..

4 meters...

5...6...

10....

15....

The growing only slowed down as the core grew to almost 20 meters in diameter.

Finally stopping at a whopping 20 meters in diameter...

Crack!!

An audible crack sounded out from the core within me..

Crack..Crack...

More cracks spread through its body...

And then

Shatter...

It fell apart, only to recondense..

Stronger..

Glossier..

Larger...

I could feel the difference immediately, this rank up was definitely different than what it was supposed to be..

Almost as if on cue.

I’d just ranked up and in one sitting, blitzed through the E-rank...

What’s worse? I hadn’t even left a dent in the amount of leftover exp I had..

"Crazy.." it was absolutely insane..

Makes the struggles of others look like a lack of effort..

"System, can I push on ranking up?" I asked, because if I could, why not just shoot straight for the C or B- ranks in one sitting?

Her voluptuous ass found my laps like they were meant to always be there, covering them entirely in their softness, her hands wrapped around my neck, her fragrance, jasmine and moon lilies assaulting my senses, my arms instinctively going for their favorite position, the swell of those soft mountains...

I didn’t bother being flustered, she’d just tease me for it..

"Go on then, show me.."

I willed the system notifications open..

"Don’t give me that ’whats wrong’ nonsense, I should be the one asking you what the hell is wrong with you.." she was livid for reasons I couldn’t even understand..

"Huh? Woman. Speak clearly, what’s got you flustered.." I snapped back..

"You...you.. how the hell did your attributes receive a 10X increase from just ranking up once" she said, voice tight, breaths heavy...

And me?

"Huh...?"
