Chapter 133: Chapter 112 Raising Fish_1

The term "exfoliation" was loaded with so much information that Feng Yi was momentarily stunned.

Looking at the cobblestone path, Feng Yi could already envision some scenes in his mind.

"Cough, let’s go look at other places."

Many people have open-air bars and leisure areas built next to their homes, and this place is no exception. However, Feng Yi felt that some parts of the mansion’s courtyard seemed more like a showcase for outsiders, and not very practical for the homeowners.

By contrast, Feng Yi preferred the arrangements in the courtyard that carried a natural, wild aura.

After a quick look around, Feng Yi went down to the basement level.

Overall, the basement was a leisure and entertainment area with a gym, home theater, games room, and even a small swimming pool. The garage was also on this level.

With over five meters of ceiling height, the decorations and furnishings in the basement were in a normal range, presentable to visitors. Even guests could feel comfortable here.

The second basement level, though, was different. As soon as the elevator reached this floor, a chill breeze hit Feng Yi, and the air was noticeably more humid.

Clearly, this was a more private area. The decor and design details here were similar to those on the second floor above ground—baffling to the average person.

The walls were built of stone, and the flooring was uneven enough to be uncomfortable under bare feet.

With a decoration theme of cold and naturalistic colors, it gave off a somber vibe, creating an inexplicable pressure on visitors—it was almost as if it were the lair of some modern-day demon.

There was also a large pool, lined with stones similar to those on the outside paths. These stones were not smooth, and the pool was quite deep. For the average person, this was not a particularly comfortable pool; it even seemed a bit dangerous.

But to Feng Yi, this pool looked damn good!

Design isn’t about right or wrong; it’s about what’s suitable.

Life isn’t just for show. As long as the place where you live is practical, that’s what matters.

The fusion of civilization and savagery naturally made Feng Yi feel pleased and comfortable.

Having looked over the owner’s quarters, Feng Yi also went to see the living areas prepared for the staff and the housekeepers. Their accommodations were quite normal, with standard ceiling heights and designs.

That evening, Feng Yi had a good night’s sleep. Though it was a new place, his sleep wasn’t affected at all; in fact, he slept even better.

Feng Yi suspected it was because of the mattress. Not only was it sufficiently large, but it also had the perfect level of firmness.

Upon waking, the first thing Feng Yi did was inspect the walls.

Perhaps because the bed was far enough from the wall, or the protective layer on the wall was strong enough, Feng Yi didn’t see any damage.

There were no marks of whipping on the carpet, and his heels hadn’t picked up anything strange either.

Having slept through the night without disturbances or causing any damage to the house, Feng Yi was finally reassured. Indeed, his new home was more resilient. He didn’t have to worry about causing accidental harm in his dreams.

However, speaking of dreaming at night, each time he woke up, he couldn’t quite remember what he had dreamed about. It seemed like the same dream each time, but he couldn’t articulate what it was about—only that it felt like some kind of hint.

Could it be... the tail?

From the blurry images captured by the damaged camera and what he had learned from the housekeeper, Feng Yi knew that the change occurring at night definitely involved his tail coming out.

He himself didn’t know what the tail looked like or how it manifested. Did it have a temper? Otherwise, why would it whip the walls at night?

But, as the housekeeper had said, it was a developmental period. The changes would become more pronounced, and maybe it wouldn’t be long before he saw that tail that sneaked out to whip the walls at night.

Dressed in his robe, Feng Yi walked out to the large terrace.

The plants were vying for the new day’s sunlight, full of vitality.

A blue-eared kingfisher flew over, rested for a while, and then left.

It wasn’t fixated on his bedroom like the little swans over at Yue Mountain.

Perhaps he hadn’t gone through those changes last night, had no energy leaks, and had not generated active agents? That’s why birds weren’t attracted?

Or was it because of the bedroom’s setup not allowing active agents to escape?

Either way, for Feng Yi, it was a good thing.

Standing on the terrace and looking into the distance, one could see the lake’s surface of Cui Lake.

The "Cui" of Cui Lake was once considered by some to be too rustic, and there was a proposal to change it to "Cui," symbolizing a gathering of outstanding figures. However, that was rejected by many.

Most of those voting against the change were locals, who knew that the "Cui" in Cui Lake stood for kingfisher. This place had previously been home to many kingfishers, including common kingfishers, blue-eared kingfishers, and other local birds.

However, due to ecological and other reasons, the population of local kingfishers declined sharply. The extreme climate phase was a harsh blow, and it wasn’t until the climate stabilized, conservation laws were put in place, and people took measures to protect the environment, that the kingfisher population began to recover.

For the locals, with kingfishers, it’s Cui Lake. If one day the kingfishers disappear, Cui Lake would no longer be Cui Lake. It could be renamed anything because it would have lost the meaning associated with its name.

Feng Yi looked up and saw a beautiful blue figure flying over the complex, heading far off toward the lake.

At least for now, Cui Lake still belonged to the kingfishers.

As the urban area expanded, this was no longer the suburb it was forty or fifty years ago. The scent in the air informed Feng Yi that many people lived nearby. All kinds of amenities had long been established.
