Courting Death System-Chapter 24: Jeff (2)

The experiments that Jeff dabbled in weren’t normal one’s that researchers would usually do. Jeff only realised how powerful his system was when he started to study it in-depth. And his starting point was with the very first reward he’d obtained from completing his very first mission, Apocalypse Shop.

This shop, although small, had its own pecs. It provided unique items and goods that were then sold to the customers like Cleansing Water which rid one’s body of impurities by simply drinking it. It also had other goods like the Calming Mind Ice Cream, Skincare Dew, Healing Mud and other products which the consumers were extremely interested in.

Jeff also realised that when inside the shop, everyone looked at him with reverence and awe as though he was a great figure, also that the shop was built in such a way that no outside interferences like Curses, Divinations, Tracking Spells and all kinds of phenomena worked inside the shop. Everyone inside was safe.

After fully studying the shop and all its mysteries, Jeff finally realised just how powerful his shop and most importantly, how powerful his system was. With such broken abilities, Jeff naturally wanted to improve both the shop and his system. It was then that he received a rather disturbing mission which required him to kill his fellow Earthlings.

He was indignant at first as he was in a foreign world and it was better to be with the people who came from the same place as him rather than those from Lumina. By the way, he’d given all the Earthlings that had chosen to work for him a job at his Apocalypse Shop.

All of them worked very hard because Jeff hadn’t just provided them with a job but also food, water and a safe shelter to live in. They were extremely loyal to Jeff, who had a powerful system and protected them. Every once in a few days, they’d receive news about a few Earthlings being found dead without complete corpses. There were even rumours that the organisations of this world were hunting down Earthlings.

They’d been afraid at first but after some time, they realised that no one had come to cause trouble for them while working at the shop which led them to believe that Jeff was protecting them.

When Jeff received the mission to kill one of his own, he was very skeptical and indignant but considering the benefits he’d obtain after completing this mission, he couldn’t resist the temptation.

He called one of his staff members in private and swiftly dealt with him. After killing the guy, he felt something being pulled out from the corpse and entered his body and then he received a System Notification that the mission was complete and the System was undergoing an upgrade.

He obtained a reward that he hadn’t expected but was what he needed the most. The Apocalypse Shop had expanded and a food centre or restaurant had appeared from thin air. Jeff was filled with ecstasy and joy that he smiled the entire day.

Even though his staff didn’t have Systems, they’d still obtained blessings in the form of Abilities received from the game. The man he had killed had received the ability, Cooking Master, which enabled him the ability to cook delicious food. And once he’d killed him, that Ability was optimised for his benefit which was the Apocalypse Shop.

The next day, he received a notification that the System had upgraded successfully and that he’d obtained more Authority over the Merchant System. It was then that he decided to kill all his staff in one fell swoop.

He called them all to a room which was very big and decorated beautifully as he hosted a celebration party in gratitude for how hard working his staff was. Everyone enjoyed themselves that evening, eating, drinking alcohol and dancing.

An hour later, it had become completely silent inside the room. Music was no longer playing and everyone had fallen asleep. Everyone except for Jeff whose gaze was extremely cold and full of killing intent. Turns out that he’d spiked the drinks and food with a sleeping sedative. He took out a kitchen knife and began beheading his staff one person at a time.

Since there were too many of them, helping him with his atrocious actions was his right-hand man Jimmy. They had taken so many lives in that place and spilled so much blood that it became another designated area, the Blood Pool Of Death Room.

His System absorbed all the special Energy from these corpses and upgraded by many levels and became even more broken. Many shop centres were created and his Apocalypse Shop became unfathomable in the eyes of the residents that none wanted to provoke the owner.

Jeff had released many benefits from this. Not only did his Authority increase and his Apocalypse Shop expand, he himself had become very strong, he’d grown mentally, understood more about himself, broadened his horizons and gained a few Skills and Innate Abilities.

Telekinesis, Telepathy, Killing Aura, Murderous Intent, Charm, Appraiser, Inventory, Negotiator, Entrepreneur, etc.

He’d worked extremely hard over the years until his Apocalypse Shop became the strongest power in the city he lived in. Even the City Lord would give Jeff some face, even though Jeff was weaker than him. That’s how terrifying he’d become over the years and not long ago, he’d received his most difficult mission which he’d spent a lot of time preparing.

The mission to spread his influence to other cities and own half of the business industry in the Silver Planes. From his authority, he knew more secrets than most people. Like the information about Lumina, all universes orbiting around Lumina’s Core and that after reaching LvL 101, he would be transported to a special place. The Realm Of Gods.

Jimmy was currently inside the shop’s control room where aside from Jeff, only Authorised Personnel were allowed inside and given permission to activate some functions. Since they’d been planning for a long time, Jimmy knew how to proceed with the plan to obtain the best results with the possibility of failure close to zero.

"Shoppy, it’s time for the master’s plan to commence. The Merchant Wars finally begin. You know what to do!" said Jimmy.

<Permission granted. Territory Wars Mode successfully activated. Teleport Function Activated. Coercing Function Activated. Fear Function Activated. Blackmail Function Activated. Greed Function Activated. Assassin Function Activated. Eviction Function Activated. All Territory Wars Functions have been activated. Functions availability, effective immediately.> a female voice sounded.

"Good! It’s time for war! Let’s start by conquering our neighbors before moving on to friends from far." said Jimmy softly with an excited expression which made him extremely terrifying.

A massive army of people looking identical to Jimmy appeared in the open field at the back of the shop. All of them had serious expressions and wore formal suits and carrying briefcases. A large teleportation magic array appeared on the ground and teleported away the army of tens of millions of Jimmy’s. Their location was only known by Jeff, Jimmy and Shoppy.

"Don’t disappoint me." muttered Jeff who was watching everything from his office.
