Courting Death System-Chapter 52: I waited for you

When Lolitron and Lucius came to be, they found themselves in an unknown place. If Lucius wasn’t so old, he’d definitely find this place to be familiar because of the energy this place had.

’Mana? So we actually made it to the Lumen World.’ thought Lolitron to herself as she carried Lucius in princess style and started looking around.

Fortunately, it didn’t take them much time to find a portal to the Apocalypse Shop and Lolitron used her greatest speed. Six parallel holes opened up on her back and released blue flames that increased her flying speed to the max.

[Halt!] shouted someone from behind but not even for a second did Lolitron stop, he flew until he entered the portal.

The person who was chasing them stood in front of the portal and hesitated to enter it.

[Damn it! If only I acted immediately, I would have easily caught up with them!]

Once inside, it was like they had entered another world. Lolitron was mesmerized by the beauty and style of this place which actually followed an architectural design she wasn’t familiar with. They appeared at the city square which was bustling with activity. There were tar roads, fountains, buildings, cars and all kinds of Earth’s technology.

<Greetings dear guests and welcome to the Apocalypse Shop where you can buy and sell anything you want. My name is Shoppy and I’m the Manager of this place.>

A hologram of a creature about twenty centimetres in size appeared before Lolitron. It had four transparent wings, big eyes, red lips and an overall sparkling body.

"Nice to meet you Shoppy, my name is Lolitron and I come from the Andromeda Empire and this is my husband. I’d like to buy two things from this place. A permanent residency and Rejuvenation Dew, do you have these things?" asked Lolitron.

<Dear guest, I wasn’t joking when I said you can buy and sell everything you want so of course we have them. We have better things even like the Immortal Fruit, Eternal Beauty Soap, Elixir Of Life and many more.>

"Then which one will be good for my husband’s condition, Rejuvenation Dew or Immortal Fruit?"

<Dear guest, it seems your husband has the Legendary Undying Body which is good for him but bad for Balance since he has no place in both Order and Chaos. Not just that, he also suffers from old age so I would recommend he takes both the Mineral Fruit and Rejuvenation Dew but he will lose his Undying Ability.>

"That’s alright. And the residents, how much would a permanent one cost?"

<We do have permanent residency but the prices differ according to one’s status, power or wealth. We have one to five star residencies and as long as you can afford the place, you can live there. If you can’t afford it but are very strong, you can live there by working for the boss. The more star ratings an area has, the purer and denser the mana in that place is which is beneficial when Meditating.>

"Then I’d like a three star residency. How much will everything cost?"

Since you’ve bought permanent residency here, all of your wealth has been confiscated and turned into points. I’ve chosen a much larger residency to also accommodate your pets and help them improve.>

"Points? Pets?" Lolitron said in confusion.

<Once you’re a permanent resident of the Apocalypse Shop, all of your wealth will be turned into points since that’s the currency for you. As for pets, I mean the zombies that are inside one of your husband’s storage rings. Would you like to see your new home or tour the place?>

"Take us to our house please."

<As you wish. Teleportation activation in three... two... one...>

Lolitron and Lucius reappeared outside what Lolitron could only describe as a utopia. The garden, the pond with colourful fish, the unique design building and the fresh air. This was exactly what Lolitron wanted.

<This island is as big as a small planet but the Mana here is a thousand times denser and purer than the Mana of the outside world. It also has many different species of pollinators that are both beautiful and garden caretakers. And around you are five small planets to accommodate your zombies. I chose four planets in order to separate them by their traits; speed, flight, defence, control and brute strength.>

Shoppy then explained many things about the place Lolitron bought and she was more satisfied the more she heard. On the other hand, Lucius hadn’t said anything since they got here.

<These are the items that you bought and can be consumed anytime, there is absolutely no danger in taking them both at the same time. I will now take my leave, if you need anything, just use your smart watch.> said Shoppy before disappearing.

"Let’s go inside." said Lolitron while grabbing Lucius’s hand and entering the villa with him. Along the way, Lolitron played around with her smart watch, sometimes speaking unintelligible words.

"House, take us to one of the Meditation Rooms and prepare a bath for my husband."

<Yes Madam.>

Turned out it wasn’t an ordinary villa but a smart villa that one could converse with and it would do as commanded. Lolitron and Lucius were then teleported to a big but empty room. The room was actually designed like a pod with many magic arrays on it.

"Husband, drink this. It will help you get better."

Lucius drank the Rejuvenation Dew which was very delicious and ate the Immortal Fruit which was sweet and juicy. After eating the two magical treasures, Lucius underwent a transformation. His white hair and beard turned black, his clouded vision disappeared, his flesh became more youthful and gained more weight. In just minutes, Lucius regained his youthful looks like he hadn’t aged a day. Even though he had become younger, his eyes remained closed.

<Jeff, we have a problem.>

The same hologram that Lolitron was just conversing with appeared before Jeff, now, much more corporeal and much taller.

"Well that’s a pleasant surprise, we rarely have problems. Tell me." said Jeff with legs on the table and smoking a cigar.

<That boy, Yezi’s disciple is still alive.>

"Yezi has a disciple, I didn’t know that. And even if the disciple is alive, what does that have to do with me?" said Jeff nonchalantly.

Lolitron thought that Lucius would wake up once he obtained his youth but she was wrong. Lucius remained in the same position for an entire week and she was by his side the whole time.

After a week, he finally opened his eyes which were still scarlet but contained the vicissitudes of life. He looked wise and experienced, the same gaze that elders had.

"Husband!" exclaimed Lolitron.

Lucius turned his head to the side and just looked at her. His lips quivered but he didn’t say anything and just looked at her. Even under his gaze, Lolitron remained calm and collected, and didn’t know any guilt or remorse for what she did.

"I’m sorry." she said.

Tears ran down Lucius’s face but he still kept quiet like he was a mute. His body was shaking like he was naked in the middle of a snowy region.

"I know it might take a while for you to forgive me but I hope you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me someday. I’ll wait for as long as I have to for you to forgive me." she said but Lucius remained silent, tears streaming down his face. Seeing that Lucius didn’t want to talk to her, she stood up and prepared to leave.

"I’ve already prepared some water for you to bathe in. I’ll bring you some clothes shortly after." she said while walking away. The door opened automatically and she was about to walk out.

"I waited for you...I waited for you. I WAITED FOR YOU...and you never came. Tell me, do you think I’ll ever forgive you?"
