Courting Death System-Chapter 53: Sealed Power

Lucius sat alone in the garden. From time to time, he’d throw bread crumbs in the pond and fish would jump out to eat the bread. He’d also shaved off his beard and hair.

"Lucius, why are you sitting in the rain wearing only jeans and a vest? Let’s go inside before you catch a cold." said Lolitron while holding an umbrella. Lucius didn’t say anything, he didn’t even look at her. Seeing that Lucius was giving her the silent treatment again, she just sat beside him on the wooden bench, shielding them both from the rain with her umbrella.

"My power? Why is my Law Power sealed?" asked Lucius.

"What do you mean?"

"I can’t use any of my Abilities that I had back on Walelur World like Poison Body, Poison Arrow, Acid Bullet, etc. All my powers were Law Imbued but not anymore. My toxic breath, acid saliva and poison blood are no longer potent and very weak. So I’m asking you why that is." explained Lucius.

"Oh, you mean that. Your Law Power is sealed because we’re no longer in Walelur World but Lumen World. The Lumen World has sealed our Law Power until we reach the stage to start using Law Power. Lumen World is a Mana based World so all other powers will be sealed." exclaimed Lolitron.

"At what level will I be able to unseal my Law Power?"

"Probably at the Noble Knight rank. Once you reach that level, you’ll be unrivalled in the same rank and even jump levels and fight those above you in strength."

"So what are you? A Knight or a Mage?"

"I’m a Mage. This is the path most suitable for me considering how smart I am and it’s also fun learning magic." Lolitron’s tone became more enthusiastic when she talked about mage stuff.

"When and how did you become an Advanced Battle Mage?"

"The book my fa...ther gave us as a wedding gift contains countless Meditation Scriptures, Refinement, Sutras and Mantras and even Cultivation and Body Strengthening Recognised." said Lolitron softly like she was whispering.

"Don’t worry, I don’t care about that book so you can keep it." said Lucius. Then there was silence again.

"I’ll learn the most powerful defensive spells to protect you from anyone who tries to harm you."

"Don’t do that. If someone wants to kill me, don’t stop them. Instead, make sure that they follow through with their threats and actually kill me." said Lucius with glowing eyes.

"But you no longer have the Undying Physique. If someone kills you now, you won’t be able to revive like you used to!"

"Hahaha. Ahahaha. Don’t talk nonsense. Me, dying forever, hahaha, what a funny thing to say." Lucius burst out in laughter at Lolitron’s statement.

"What’s so funny? You really will die for good you know that? Nothing lasts forever and that includes your revival ability, it must have a limit.

"Let me tell you something I’ve never told anyone, I hope it will help you get a clear scope of how my situation and it’s something I remembered after the effects of the Rejuvenation Dew. My Title is Revival Progenitor."said Lucius.

"What?"

"REVIVAL PROGENITOR."

"R..." Lolitron lost consciousness just after saying a single alphabet which left Lucius shocked and confused. He watched the gorgeous Lolitron who had fallen asleep on his lap, slightly brushed her cheek then averted her gaze to the sky where he could clearly see another planet.

"Marked? How exactly do I remove these Markers or how will they affect my life from now ownwards?"

Unbeknownst to Andromeda and Abb, the conversation between the two of them wasn’t the least bit censored to Lucius and after the Rejuvenation Dew, he’d remembered that scene like he was watching a movie.

"I guess it’s time to go inside."

’Ouch, I have such a painful headache! Wait a minute, why do I even have a headache, father didn’t tell me about this.’ thought Lolitron after she woke up.

"You’re finally awake? Quickly freshen up, there’s a place I want us to go to." sounded Lucius’s voice from the side of the bed where Lucius had been this whole time.

"What are you doing here?"asked Lolitron.

"Oh, I’m sorry. After carrying you to your bedroom, I sat down to get some rest but it seems I ended up getting some sleep. It won’t happen again." answered Lucius.

"It’s fine, this is also your room anyway."

"Let’s talk about this when I’ve forgiven you. For now, quickly freshen up and let’s go."

"Why does it feel like you’ve already forgiven me? Shouldn’t you be getting your revenge by making my life as difficult as possible?"

"When you left me in that deserted place, I thought about a lot of things, revenge included but as more time passed, I forgot all about that. All I wanted was for you to come and fetch me and when you didn’t, my emotions exploded again but there was no point in being angry, sad, depressed, etc. Time made me forget about everything else and focus on the positive. Plus, I’m a man, I can’t hold a grudge for so long, a week or two is enough." explained Lucius.

"Then what do I have to do for you to forgive me?"

"Sincerely apologise, simple right?"

"Our driver will arrive in three minutes," said Lolitron.

The couple was currently at the Apocalypse Mall. After thousands of years of business growth and improvement, Jeff decided to turn the Apocalypse Shop into a mall and it was a very huge mall with countless customers coming in and out.

In order to maximise on profits, Jeff disabled all forms of teleportation when in the mall and instead introduced ubers and car rentals. The Apocalypse Mall took Earth’s designs but many years into the future.

"Our uber is here, let’s go."

The couple then entered the hover car and enjoyed the ride. Now, all kind of shops existed in the mall, from noodle shops, cosmetics and retailers to motor shops, jewellery, pet shop and all kinds of other shops.

An hour later, the uber driver arrived at the designated area and the couple got off after paying for the ride and the hover car immediately drove away.

Lucius and Lolitron were now standing at a tall building in an architectural design of a deer’s skull with red long horns. Lucius took a deep breath before walking towards the shop’s entrance. He was very nervous since it had been a very long time since he left his master. The door opened automatically and the couple entered.

It was very spacious inside the building with many shelves carrying all kinds of weird items.

"Welcome to the Anya and Yezi shop, how may I be of assistance?" said an employee who was standing not far from the entrance.

"Oh, I didn’t see you there. Actually, there is something you can help me with. I’d like to see the managers of this shop." said Lucius.

"The managers? I’m sorry but only those with appointments can meet up with the manager’s." said the employee.

"I see. If you see them today by chance, please tell them that Lucius Lothra was here to see them. I’ll also leave my contact details just in case."

"No problem. Will that be all for today?"

"Yes, thank you for your time."
