Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf-Chapter 26: Fast Learner

The training was really brutal, Adrian tried his best but old man Berry was too strong even without transforming.

His martial arts skill was way above Adrian’s. When the day ended, Adrian felt exhausted.

His body had healed but his stamina was still drained. He took a shower and went to sleep.

The following day went the same way, he was forced to train, doing pushups, sit-ups then trained in different martial arts.

Kickboxing, Jujutsu etc. Adrian felt this was not necessary. He figured if he learnt how to use his esper, then he wouldn’t need martial arts.

He could just overpower his enemies but his protest fell on deaf ears. On the third day, Meggie called him.

" It’s time you learn how to control your esper." He grew excited, she led him to an empty field.

Then she told his to sit cross-legged and close his eyes, he did that.

" I don’t have time to teach you the standard way so we’ll have to brute force it. Normally this would be dangerous but your body can handle it, probably."

" What." Before he could protest he felt something hot enter through his hands from their point of contact.

He gritted his teeth through the pain. " That’s my esper energy, it will feel lite it’s burning you, brave through it, concentrate."

He tried to ignore the pain and concentrate but it was easier said than done. Slowly though he started feeling something.

The pain lessened and he felt something moving through his body cooling him off. Meggie’s esper was pushed off.

Adrian felt this energy moving inside him and tried to take control of it and he succeeded.

With his eyes closed he couldn’t see the shock on Meggie’s face. His esper energy was so pure and dense it easily pushed hers away.

It wasn’t abundant, as a Fayera Adrian was very young, the amount of energy he had was too small but that small amount was incredibly powerful.

She had never once felt esper this pure before. Even more surprising was that he took control of it in seconds.

From what she knew, it takes others months normally, a week if they’re talented and a few hours if they brute force it like he did.

Yet he managed to do that in less than 6 seconds, it was inconceivable. Adrian opened his eyes.

Meggie removed the shocked expression off her face, she didn’t want to make him over confident.

" Good, your talent is barely above avarage but it’s passable, now can you tell what ability you have?"

Most Fayera awakened racial abilities upon learning to control their esper, witches were an exception since they needed to learn their spells.

There were a few others like the witches. Most Fayera only awaken one ability, more if they’re stronger.

From records, those at the level of duke vampires could even awaken up to 7 abilities in total.

A staggering number for a level 1 vampire, she knew Adrian was strong and she expected him to awaken at least two perhaps three ability.

" I think I can control a type of energy that feels like moon energy, I’ll call it lunar esper."

" Is that the only ability you awakened?" She asked a bit disappointed, abilities that allow one to use a type of energy were not exactly rare.

There were those who used ice, fire, wind and other types of elemental energy. This lunar energy seemed to fall under the same umbrella.

However those abilities were limited, they give their user the ability to attack using this energy.

Which could be powerful or useless depending on the user. She had met a vampire who can use fire to attack from afar.

She had also met an Espara who can use fire to enhance his physical attacks but couldn’t use it to attack from afar.

So she knew being able to control a specific type of energy was not that impressive. So she asked.

" What can you do with it?" She wasn’t too hopeful, she had never even heard of this lunar energy.

Adrian closed his eyes then he opened them with confusion, Meggie’s hope shattered even more.

" I think I can do anything."

" Huh?" She had not expected that answer, it made zero sense to begin with, what did he mean he can do anything.

" I can use it to enhance my speed and strength I think." He continued, she relaxed a bit, that was a more understandable ability.

" I can also use it to create energy claws, shield or basically shape it into any weapon I want.

It seems I can also use it for telekinesis and telepathy, conjure illusions and transform it into elements like fire, water etc."

The more he talked the more terrified she got, she had never heard of anything like that at all.

That made no sense, those abilities weren’t even connected in any way, she couldn’t understand how he could possess all of them.

Now she wondered what type of energy this lunar energy was, she realised if this came out.

Everybody would be out to get Adrian, to discover the secret of this energy. Meggie couldn’t even trust other witches with this information.

" Adrian listen to me, if anybody ask what your abilities are, say you can only enhance your speed, strength and create energy claws.

Those are the only three abilities you’re allowed to show to strangers, is that understood?"

He nodded, he couldn’t understand why that was necessary but seeing the seriousness in her face, he knew he had to listen.

It was a pity he couldn’t show off but if Meggie said he couldn’t then he couldn’t.

After testing the three abilities she had allowed him to reveal they went back to the farm house.

He continued training with old man Berry until nightfall then went to take a shower, he was no longer as exhausted as the day before.

Learning how to control his esper increased his stamina as well.

" So what do you think?" Meggie asked old man Berry.

He sighed, " Too fast, he learns too fast, it as if his body adapt to my training in real time, by the end of the week I’ll have nothing more to teach him."

She nodded, she completely agreed, Adrian did learn too fast, it was uncanny. They all went to dinner.

While everybody was eating, Adrian’s ears twitched, he caught faint noises then he sniffed the air.

He turned his eyes to the door, " Something is coming."
