Destroying My Own World-Chapter 380: The hidden past.
Lyneth’s soul felt like being dragged and pulled away from her body, her vision was like being pulled away from her body as well. Mykel who was in front of her became smaller and smaller as she was being pulled away and surrounded by darkness.
She couldn’t move and her body felt like being wrapped and entangled by roots. She then fell into the abyss and suddenly landed on an office chair, surrounded by people in suits. She looked down to look at her body and she was wearing a suit as well and a tight skirt.
"Miss Lyneth? About our offer, is there anything you wish to have other than those? We will add more immediately if you find it lacking," A man asked and looked at Lyneth with a worried expression.
Lyneth had no idea where she was and who those people were, especially the documents in her hands. She then stood up, dropping the documents in her hands as she looked around. She decided to leave the meeting room, leaving everyone behind with confused looks on their faces.
She felt lost but at the same time, she knew where she was and where to go to leave the building like it was a muscle memory. In the lobby, she was about to leave, but then she saw people staring at something with their shocked expressions. She took a glance at what those people were staring at until she saw Mykel working out, topless with a ripped body and tattoos that covered his back and chest.
She approached Mykel, but before she could say anything to him, she was being pulled into the ground. This time the void was filled with memories of Lyneth from the novel, forcing her to look at all the time she had with Mykel.
While she was watching those memories and trying to understand who Mykel was, she was freed from the void. She landed on a chair again, but this time she was in a small cabin, a chill wind breeze on her face but the fireplace kept her body warm. When she wanted to stand up, she noticed how heavy her body was, and when she looked down, she was in disbelief when her stomach was bulging.
"Are you okay, Lyn?" Gaia asked as soon as she walked out of the bedroom. "Is it time for her to eat again?" She raised her eyebrows and put her hand on Lyneth’s stomach.
Lyneth had never felt that kind of pain before and her body couldn’t stop clenching by the pain that centered in her stomach. She felt like her body was being electrocuted over and over while at the same time making her exhausted as if she was forced to keep running for hours without stopping.
"Mykel..." Lyneth said while she was groaning in pain.
Mykel came as soon as she said his name and immediately carried her to bed hurriedly but gently at the same time. He fed Elena with his life energy, releasing Lyneth from the pain and it made her feel like she was drinking cold water after a hot day.
Lyneth looked at Mykel and then at his right hand on her stomach. She reached out to his hand and held it so tightly, and suddenly he held her hand back so gently and kissed it.
"I’m here, I will be here from now on," Mykel said with a gentle smile.
Lyneth nodded her head and she felt sleepy, but she didn’t want to sleep because she still had so many things to say. Unfortunately, she couldn’t fight it off and slowly closed her eyes while hearing Gaia and Mykel’s conversation about the preparation to fight Mara.
She gasped and opened her eyes as soon as she lost consciousness, but this time she woke up on a different bed. She then felt a rustling sound next to her and saw a baby girl chewing on her own blanket as she stared at the ceiling.
The baby noticed that Lyneth was awake and then crawled onto Lyneth’s body as she tried to be on top of her. The baby then looked into Lyneth’s eyes for a while minute without moving a muscle or making any noise.
"(You’re not mother)" A small girl’s voice could be heard inside Lyneth’s head. "(But you’re mother at the same time)" she added.
"El-Elena?" Lyneth asked because that was the first name that came out of her head when she thought of the baby’s name.
Elena lost her balance and was about to roll down to bed, but Lyneth caught her and wrapped her arms so gently around Elena. Lyneth then got off the bed and she held Elena so preciously because she felt love toward the baby more than anything in her entire life.
"(Are you lost?)" Elena asked as she stared into Lyneth’s eyes and tried to reach to Lyneth’s face. "(Father will help you. He can do anything and you don’t have to worry about anything)" she added as she made a cute squeaking sound. Continue your saga on novelbuddy
"I don’t know..." Lyneth answered and she looked so confused because her memories and the Lyneth from the novel started to clash.
Lyneth felt something grab her legs, and she knew what was going to happen next, but she tried to fight it off. She didn’t want to go until she was sure Elena was safe by putting her on the bed before she got dragged into the void.
She looked at thousands of memories and found out about the truth of her existence. A mere character from a piece of paper created by Mykel and it was shocking that her mind went blank. But suddenly she was startled by a gentle touch around her left hand and noticed she was in the garden.
"Mother?" Elena asked as she looked at Lyneth with a confused look.
Lyneth looked around and she had no idea where she was, but her memories gave a clue that she was in the garden that Edith made in New York City. She then looked at Elena with her long and wavy black hair and noticed how gorgeous she was and how she looked like her and Mykel.
"It’s you again," Elena noticed by the strange look in Lyneth’s eyes. "You came back..." She sat next to Lyneth and was curious about the one inside Lyneth’s body.
"You’re gorgeous..." Lyneth couldn’t help but praise and admire Elena’s beauty.
"Of course. I have the most beautiful mother and a handsome father. Superior genetics are running in my body," Elena chuckled and smiled happily at Lyneth. "Welcome back, whoever you are. But you’re indeed mother," she said.
"Thank yo—" Before Lyneth could finish her sentence, she was dragged into the void again.

She wanted to have a talk with Elena because she felt like her chest was hurting because of missing her. She then looked at the memories all the way to the moment when Mykel and the others subdued the Gods and planned to fight the Lord. At that moment, she saw one particular memory that revealed what had happened to them, it was blurry, but she could tell what it was.
This time she was at the massive field and realized she was in the Empyrean World. She saw Bhatmelec and Vincze trying to create a paradox with Lillith as the subject of the creation. She then looked at Elena and hurriedly walked toward her.
"There’s something I want to tell you," Lyneth grabbed Elena’s hand.
Elena was confused, but the way Lyneth looked at her immediately made her realize it wasn’t Lyneth inside. She could see the fear in Lyneth’s eyes, but before she could ask what it was, Lyneth looked at their hands with a confused look.
"Mother?" Elena asked with her eyebrows raised. She already knew that the woman inside Lyneth had disappeared.
"Yes? I’m sorry, I was spacing out. I’m a bit worried about this," Lyneth answered as she looked at Bhatmelec and Vincze with her hand still holding Elena’s hand.
Elena stared at Lyneth and she had been trying to decipher the mystery on her own. She felt there was something big that was going on, but then she noticed when she looked at the crack that appeared after Bhatmelec and Vincze managed to create a paradox. She guessed something had happened somewhere in the far future, something bad that seemed to happen to them.
Lyneth was transferred to a different memory again, but this time she was in a dark space with everyone. She wondered where she was until she saw flashes of light from the gap in front of her. She then remembered the battle between Mykel and The Lord, the battle where Mykle had lost himself and was consumed by the void.
She knew she didn’t have much time and immediately hugged Elena from behind.
"(I don’t know if you can hear me, but listen to me. I’m giving you the power that I have left, and I hope this will be enough)" Lyneth said and finally she could hold Elena. "(I want you to know that even though I’m not your mother, my love for you is something that I can’t explain. I will protect you and I want you to know that)" she continued.
Elena turned around and saw Lyneth hugging her, but it was already too late because Lyneth had gone back to normal. She didn’t know what it was nor felt anything inside her.
Lyneth came back to reality and Mykel was holding her up because it appeared she was about to fall. She looked at Mykel and shed a tear as she smiled at him. She didn’t say a word, and then she started losing her life since she used them all on Elena.
"You’re still as handsome as I remembered, Mykel. I love you," Lyneth said as her body slowly became transparent when she reached out her hand and put it on Mykel’s cheek.
Mykel didn’t know what happened, but since it was his plan to take her life essence, he didn’t bother to think of why she suddenly became weak. He then turned her body into her life essence and looked at how bright it was.
Elena who was sleeping suddenly opened her eyes and felt something within her grow. She looked at her hands and noticed the power within her, a mysterious power that suddenly awakened.
"Thank you, Mother," Elena smiled as she put her hands on her chest.
