Devil Slave (Satan system)-Chapter 1274: Pepsodent 3
Portals were incredible creations. They could shorten the distance between two points by manipulating the distances between these two spaces.
It was the reason a distance of two galaxies could only take a few minutes. Even cultivators that were at the Arcane demon rank found such distances to be troublesome and instead opt for using portals.
Only those that were at least the rank of Evening star could move such distances with ease.
Unfortunately in the known universe, only the primordial Demons were of that rank.
Then again, Enel had never been one to mind using portals for transportation, except that for one reason or the other, his trips are always being sabotaged. This one was no exception.
The craft began giving blaring alarms a few moments into the portal.
"What happened?" Enel asked.
"The portal behind us as been sabotaged. Portals create their path way. The path ways created are roads. Right now, ours is being destroyed right behind our tail." commander Marian spoke up.
Enel frowned. he understood what she meant. As of this moment, the road was being destroyed at an incredible speed behind them.
"Will we be able to make it to the other side?" He asked.
"Not exactly!" Allison answered as her hands traced runes on the dash board, trying to steady the craft. "If we continue with our destination in mind, we will not be able to make it to the capital city of the Plane Pepsodent which was our initial intent. By then, the road would have been destroyed, plunging us right into the void."
Enel frowned. He knew that Manipulation of the void was something even he was not great at. The last time something similar had happened to him, he had literally lost his memories and then on gaining them, he had to face Lucifer trying to consume his body.
In truth, that event had been quite scarring for him.
"Perseus said that this craft was state of the art. Is there absolutely nothing we can do?"
Allison turned to him and shook her head, "I have not been to the city in a long time. I am not so familiar with the ’HOW’ of the latest ware..."
commander Marian suddenly spoke up, "... You might not be, but I am. This craft has the ability to make a temporary hole in the void that can allow for an escape in case of an accident."
"Do it!" Enel commanded.
"If we do it now, we risk popping out too far from our destination. Pepsodent is in a rather large solar system."
"And how long do we wait."
"Ten more seconds Enel!" Commander Marian spoke up.
To which Enel looked at her in a particular manner. But said nothing else. Instead, the side of his lips coiled up in a smile.
"10..9..8.....3..2..1 Engaging Portal Projection."
From the sleek craft came a tube that shot out a perculiar energy and then instantly, a side of the void opened up and the craft shot through it with incredible speed.
It was instantly knocked into the atmospehere of a plane, with the portal gate sealing behind them.
Lana breathed in relief. This was not her first time through a portal, but she was a an High Elf and she knew a lot about the consequences of going through unstable portals.
the world that they had been shot into was wonderous in its make. The reason for this was that its sky was not all clouds. huge masses of lands suspended in the air.
Aside he fact that they were no dangerous creatures flying about, it did resemble Imperilment a bit. meaning that the magnetic field of the plane was a very unique one.
However, Enel quickly noticed that all the floating islands were actually quite barren.
There were red in nature like huge bloods of blood floating in mid air, barren of any life whatsoever.
"Marian, Confirm that we are in Pepsodent."
"Yes... according to systems, we are a long way from reaching the capital of the city. But this is indeed Pepsodent. The plane itself is twice the size of the eighth earth, but it has a rich environment, breathable atmosphere and a thriving people."
Enel looked at the floating mountains again, his eyes scanning them deeply. he noticed movements on one of them ahead, like a person trying to hide from view. "Are you sure that they have a thriving people?" he could not help but ask.
However, at such a time, it happened.
*BOOM!*
An explosion was heard as the rear of the craft was hit.
Everyone within jerked forward, "What was that?" Enel asked.
Alarms within, once again, began to flair up. "We have been hit!" Allison stated. "Its either we force a landing or we crash."
Enel raised a brow at this. He turned to look at Tomato. she sat behind. All the while, with her glasses on her face, she had been sleeping.
He only chuckled at this, not even bothering to disturb her.
"Lana, if we have been hit, then it means something has been destroyed. You are the only one with creation magic here. Get to it." She nodded as she unbuckled her sit belt and rushed outside.
Instantly, she removed her sit belt. With much strain, she rose from her seat and pushed herself to the side. Placing her hand on the air lock, it opened up.

This made the pressure within the craft worse. But no one here was ordinary. If it was in earth before the apocalpse, they would have been considered as super humans the likes of comic heroes.
Lana pushed past the pressure. Her arms glowed in holy light as she used them to stick on the body of the craft. Pulling herself against the pressure, she reached the point that needed to be fixed. From the looks of it, it had been an energy beam.
But it wa snot a normal one. After all, this craft could defend against the attack of a Deep Demon cultivator. Obviously, it was an attack from higher.
She waved her hands, and her elven bloodline came to life as she wielded creation magic to fix the damage. And that was when another shot aimed at her head...
