Devil Slave (Satan system)-Chapter 1273: Pepsodent 2
Enel strode toward the sleek, silver craft, his steps deliberate and confident. His Hair, black but peppered with red and white was cut low. Behind him followed Devil Tomato, her imposing frame casting a long shadow.
She was dressed entirely in black, her outfit a skin-tight combat suit that accentuated her muscular build. Black gloves covered her hands, and large, reflective sunglasses obscured all three of her crimson eyes, making her appear even more intimidating. The suit, stitched with faintly glowing threads of enchanted runes, whispered promises of deadly efficiency. With her hands resting lightly on her hips, she looked every bit like a formidable bodyguard, walking silently a step behind her master.
Lana and Allison stood near the ramp of the craft, similarly dressed in matching black attire. Their outfits, though less conspicuous, were equally impressive.
Lana was checking out the clothes stating that her ass looked too tight in the pants.
Perseus, standing nearby heard her statement and explained the specs of their gear. "These are not just clothes," he began, his tone animated. "They’re the latest in hybrid magical and scientific engineering. The fabric is a poly-magetherium weave, resistant to extreme conditions. It can withstand the gravitational forces of deep space, the crushing pressures of the ocean depths, and is even warded against high-level demonic energy. The runes stitched into the seams provide an additional layer of protection, automatically activating shields when external forces exceed certain thresholds. Oh, and it’s self-cleaning, because why not?"
Allison raised an eyebrow, inspecting the faintly shimmering lines of her outfit. "Impressive," she muttered, tugging at the collar to adjust it. "Feels snug, but not uncomfortable."
Lana smiled faintly, running her hand down one sleeve. "Still tight around the ass... But It’s certainly better than some of the armor I’ve had to wear. Then again, High elves are a traditional people. Even our advancement in technology because of the function of our creation magic has not stopped this."
Enel glanced over his shoulder as they prepared to board, his sharp eyes scanning the assembled crew. "Where is Commander Kael?" he asked, his voice carrying over the low hum of the portal and the quiet murmur of the crowd. "He’s supposed to come with us."
Before anyone could respond, Commander Marian jogged over, a slightly hurried look on her face. "Commander Kael won’t be able to join us," she said, her tone apologetic but measured. "He’s fallen ill—likely some disease from this plane. You know these things happen. A new plane usually comes with new germs, and of course a new disease. Then again, he is in the Med Bay, he insisted on staying behind to avoid slowing you down."
Enel narrowed his eyes at her, his expression unreadable. He studied her for a moment, as if trying to see through her words, his piercing gaze making Marian visibly tense. For a fleeting moment, a bead of sweat formed on her brow, but she quickly masked it with a smile.
Finally, Enel smirked, the tension dissipating. "Well, no problem," he said lightly, though his tone carried an undercurrent of something unreadable. "But if Kael’s out, who will take his place?"
Marian straightened, her confidence returning. "I’d like to volunteer," she said smoothly. "I’ve studied the mission parameters and am more than capable of assisting in his stead."
Allison’s eyes flicked toward Marian, narrowing slightly. Her expression hardened, a mix of suspicion and irritation flickering across her face. Enel, however, seemed unbothered. "Fine," he said with a shrug, motioning toward the craft. "Let’s not waste time."
The interior of the ship was breathtaking. Its sleek walls shimmered with an otherworldly glow, carved with intricate runes that pulsed faintly with energy.
The craftsmanship blended advanced technology and magic seamlessly, with luminous lines tracing patterns across the surfaces, as though the ship itself were alive. The seats were upholstered in a smooth, flexible material that adjusted automatically to the occupant’s form. Crystals embedded in the walls served as both lights and interactive displays, projecting holographic readouts and charts when touched. The ceiling arched gracefully overhead, giving a sense of openness despite the enclosed space.
Allison and Commander Marian took their places at the helm, a large console of glowing panels and runes before them. Marian ran her hands expertly over the controls, while Allison monitored the holographic displays.
Enel moved to a central seat that seemed almost like a throne, the subtle carvings on its armrests hinting at the ship’s responsive controls that could only be activated by him.
As the rest of the crew settled in, the craft began to hum softly, its systems coming to life. Outside, the portal flared brighter, casting an eerie, otherworldly glow across the hangar.
The ship surged forward, its sleek frame cutting through the glowing vortex of the portal like a blade through water. A radiant swirl of colors surrounded it, shimmering and shifting as the vessel passed deeper into the tunnel of energy. The hum of the engines was steady, and inside the craft, the crew braced themselves for the journey ahead.
The craft rushed into the portal.

Back in the city, Perseus stood atop the central tower, gazing at the portal’s brilliant display. The glow from the magical gate cast a radiant light over the volcanic plane below, and everything seemed to be proceeding smoothly—until a sharp, high-pitched beeping sounded from the city control bracelet on his arm.
Perseus frowned, lifting his wrist to inspect the device. The beeping grew louder, accompanied by a flashing red icon. "What’s this?" he muttered, his tone edged with concern. Before he could fully process the alert, a deafening crack echoed across the plane.
The portal’s swirling energy stuttered and sparked, arcs of lightning shooting wildly in every direction. Suddenly, with a violent surge, an enormous explosion erupted from the portal’s core. A shockwave rippled outward, shaking the surrounding structures as the magical gateway collapsed in a dazzling implosion of light and sound.
Perseus staggered slightly, his eyes widening as the once-vibrant portal dissolved into a charred, smoking void. All that remained was the scorched metallic ring that had housed the magical infrastructure. "What just happened?!" Perseus barked, his voice cutting through the chaos.
Werewolf workers on the ground scrambled into action, their movements frantic as they worked to assess the damage. Soldiers ran back and forth, barking orders and relaying messages, while engineers rushed to inspect the shattered remnants of the portal. Perseus stood firm, his commanding presence evident as he took control of the situation. "Get me answers!" he shouted. "I want a full report on what caused that collapse!"
Minutes later, a soldier approached him, saluting sharply before presenting a data tablet containing the schematics of the portal’s core. "Commander Perseus," the soldier said, his voice laced with urgency, "the portal’s core is completely destroyed. The feedback from the collapse... there’s nothing left to repair. This portal is gone."
Perseus scanned the report with narrowed eyes, his jaw tightening. "Activate another portal immediately," he ordered, his tone brooking no argument.
The soldier hesitated, his posture stiff. "Sir, most of our harvested resources were funneled into creating this portal. The materials and energy required... there’s no way to construct another one anytime soon."
Perseus growled low under his breath, frustration flickering across his features. He paced for a moment, running a hand through his hair as he tried to think. "Fine," he said sharply, turning back to the soldier. "If we can’t fix it, then bring me Commander Kael. Now."
The soldier’s face paled slightly, and he leaned in to whisper something into Perseus’s ear. As the words registered, Perseus’s eyes widened in shock, his entire body tensing. "What did you just say?" he demanded, his voice low and dangerous....
